I'll savour this for a few seconds.

Nice, I expect that'll be full of F40s soon now.

Todays races:

Race A - One Make - Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) '02 on Sports: Hard - Tsukuba Circuit - 7 laps - Standing start
Race B - Gr. 4 - Nürburgring GP - 4 laps - Rolling start
Race C - N400 on Sports: Hard - Circuit de la Sarthe without Chicanes - 4 laps - 3x Fuel / 12x Tires - Standing start - BOPed, but Tuning allowed

Looking that way. I'm sure it'll be someone with a 4:01.xxx very soon.

Edit: No pit stop(0.8laps left at the finish), hardly tire/tyre wear. The 911 poses no threat. Gets acceleration at the start, but is dead meat on the straights. Porsche curves it was quick too, but they pitted at thd 2nd lap. No bueno.

Tustled with the pole F40, but he outbraked himself at the end of the straight.

It is worth having a look at the Lamborghini Countach. 1 blasted past me on the straight when I was using the 650s (slightly slower than the 911) and when I gave it a brief shot it can hit about 196mph on the main straight.

Not sure how that compares to the F40, or what its handling, fuel and tyre usage is :)

The F40 does 311kmh/193mph without a tow. I didn't look at the speed when I ran down the leading F40. Safe to say, well over 200mph. 201 maybe? :sly:

Did the 86 Race C daily, was interesting, but I wasn't competitive enough. Enjoyable experience trying out a slower car there. RX7 at Miyabi wasn't bad either.

But N400 at Circuit De La Sarthe :lol::lol:
If I keep doing races unqualified, I'm worried people may accuse me of abusing the system lol. :nervous: First race, started 20th and finished 5th, second race, started 13th and finished 5th. Both races 90% clean on my end, although a few clumsy corner exits and on passing other people when they are recovering. The first race had this wonderful gentleman in the SFR race car concept battling it out with a viper before I got to arrive with the both of them ghosted. He kept flashing me and the viper to give back the position or something, but ultimately finished with a 5 second penalty behind me. I regained all my DR and possibly a new DR # from the two races.

I used the F82 M4, which I think is fine. But when the top players start bringing out the big guns, I don't think it'll catch up. The handling on the BMW needed to be adjusted for myself a little, and have yet to figure out the sweet spot for the brakes. Tyres can manage, but I would suggest be extra careful when braking and exiting corners. Granted, we are using Sport Hard I think? Anyway, I love this combo for probably all the wrong reasons, might save up some DR for now to lose in later daily races where I don't strive in. :boggled:

Race A today is total carnage ....... that was it for today.

Dont worry we have @Sven Jurgens here who is a true sportsman and specialist starting with no qualify and working his asss up to front. I heard he qualified last week but he is not responding to it. Love that commitment !

Real punks racing tonight. Bowling for Gr. 4 cars at T1. Knuckleheads must be trying to bowl a 300 game.

Then, we have the Mutumbos. Blocking every overtake. "No, no, no. Not on my right... No, no, no. Not on my left."

Last but not least, the Slophys. I think those cars had their time. They're not fast at NGP. So, they should stop trying to sneak up and bump and run. Players are seeing their weaknesses.

You should know better than to do sprint race on NGP :lol:

It's like guaranteed carnage and stupid overtakes.
I loved it when it had barrels in FIA races, sooo much cleaner (due to grasscutters ending up in barrels:D).

Currently #1 with 4:03 is asia but with a couple of mistakes , one big one.

I agree someone with more skill and patience than me will get 4:01.

We're going bowling! (bowling) Bowling! (bowling). Gotta Keep the good times rolling! We're going bowling! And so my tumble down the rabbit hole continues at NGP. I did qualifying laps till I just could not beat the ghost. That got me P6/15 on a grid of mostly DR/C with a couple of Bs and D thrown in. Was pretty content with that.

Auto drive abandons us and the dash for crash is on. Despite having about an inside line as you can get and still be able to crawl around the corner, I still had two jokers try and push their way up the inside. From there is was constant nudges and attempts to push through the inside when there wasn't room to do so . Finally one of the morons just crashes through me closely followed by another who finished the job by pushing me into the sand . I went from P5 to 13. I was having a fairly clean battle for P12, but got a penalty on the last lap towards the end. I bled that off and finished P13. I got an orange SR when the drongo pushed me into the sand.

SR down 6, DR down 750. After Race C I expect to be back in DR/D.

Ha, I've been accused of being a cheat or dirty a few times while coming from the back without qualifying. I've also been begged to set a qualifying time in the game when someone wanted to race me as I came from last to top 3 every time. I said, just move over at the start and come down, then we can race through traffic together!

As for keeping DR artificially low by not qualifying, I've gotten back to DR.A from a reset without qualifying in a single race, while I've dropped down back into DR.B with qualifying. Where I land depends more on the track / car combo than whether I qualify or not. With 12 races on average per day my DR will never be stable. Plus at SR.99 high DR.B already lands me in the fastest rooms in NA, from about 26K DR up it really doesn't matter one bit for matchmaking how high your DR is.

I'll start Sarthe tonight without qualifying as I like to try different cars. I don't like to set a fast time with one car, then hold everyone up when I switch to a slower car. The game should have you re-qualify for each car.

Tried every Ford on La Sarthe today. The GT '06 is incredibly light on fuel and had 1.7 laps left by the end. It wasn't competetive though partly because I was using the stock setup but mostly because it has to put up with like 400 kg more than the F40 when their power is virtually identical. I mean I know that in every BOP system there'll still be slight differences between the cars but this is way over the top.

Oh, and the Focus ST had shredded its front tyres by the end of lap 3  (I thought it had four wheel drive).

edit: And the F150 Raptor looked really cool on the starting grid but not so cool everywhere else lol

Wow, getting back to DR A from no qualifying!! I have to be honest, I am a DR D driver and I'm perfectly fine with that - more or less based on looking at what times I'm getting and the performance ability I am able to generate. I don't think I'll ever be able to reach DR A, but I am more than proud to say I have been able to keep my SR at 99 since I started being DR D. Yes, I have lost SR before, and regardless of my race finishing position, I've always been able to regain the lost SR. Racing clean is always #1 on the list for me.

One of my best racing experience was actually GR.4 at Brands Hatch a few weeks back. Can't remember all the details, but I started at P18 in the Scirocco and was battling it out with another person in a R35 GTR for P10. I did get P10 and I wasn't even mad, it was probably the best race I've ever done!
As part of the conversation sometimes here, I feel that being a fair player is always important, and I'd love to gain some more DR while it's at a race I am able to excel at for a while. I don't expect or considering to get to DR A with just this race, not to mention Circuit De La Sarthe being "penalty city", but for me, it's just too fun of a combination right now to pass up. I'm itching to do maybe two more races before bed. I've even done a 95% replica of the Hoonigan "poo" car on the M4, it's great to just drive the car with the livery on, and it being this much fun is the best!:lol::lol::lol:

Oh btw, in the two races, Lap 1 was pass everyone who stumbles with the corners or not fast enough in the straights, and then the last three laps is just staying on track and fighting it out for the highest manageable position :lol::boggled:

Daily C at Le Mans is for 95% of the lap quite exciting, apart from the Mulsanne Corner when the race turns into bumper cars! Twice I was completely punted and sent to the back of the field. Managed 10th which wasn't too bad but I should have been top 5 if I wasn't anally penetrated on two occasions. It's also a complete F40 lockout apart from two brave souls in a 458 and McLaren 12C. The F40 is very frugal on fuel. I managed to finish with just under a lap of fuel left with fuel saving through the twisty bits and a little bit on the Mulsanne straight. 201mph can be achieved with an excellent tow.

Tried every Ford on La Sarthe today.

Yeh, see, ya doomed yourself by the time you got to that third word :p.

OK, my race at penalty city. Another day at Cirque du Soieil. I tried a few cars, starting with the X-Bow. Bit too unmanageable and well, kinda slow on the strait. Tried the Evo Road GrB. Best I could manage was 242 I think. Cant remember what I tried next. Then I tried the 911. Being RR it was a bit of a handful, but manageable. I had it tuned to 302kph. That will do me. P4 on a bit of a mixed grid of both DRs and cars :D. The guy in P8 was obviously there for a bit of fun, he was driving a Raptor .

Well the flag drops and I'm off! No dramas at my end getting as far as Mulsanne in P3, and about half way down someone fired a red missile with a Ferrari badge! The problem with missiles is that they don't stop very well :sly:. P3 again for me getting off the turns at the end of the strait ;). By the next run at Mulsanne I was passed again by two cars. Again the F40 muffed the turn at the end of Mulsanne and up to P4 where I stayed till the dreaded "0.9 laps of fuel remaining" coming into the Porsche curves. I probably should have just tried to short shift my way to the end, but I pitted. I suspect the tyres may have been intact enough to finish, but I wasn't sure so I changed.

Two cars passed me as I came out of the pits. I managed to gain back a position so P5 for me. I was right up the rear of the F40 in P4 through the Porsche curves. He seemed to be struggling with grip. If I was one of those 🤬 I came across in my last race, I would have passed him through the chicanes, but I just sat behind him, happy enough with P5, given the results of my last few races :). I'm kinda glad I did. He came from P9 and was one of the very few to finish with no red dot next to his name. I wasn't one of those few :guilty:.

DR up to higher than end of business yesterday, SR back to 99 :dopey:. DR/C, the journey continues :D.

I have a 4:09 with the NSX 17 , can go down 4:07 after nailing braking points. But (only ) 300 kmh in the straight.

I had one in my first round, and then another one just now. Not sure if there was one prior to the one just now lol

Racing at this hour is so much harder, all the fast guys are definitely out there. I think "off-peak" is when everyone is more for fun, with a crazy variety of cars trying Race C. Gained back ~100 DR in my 5th try after losing about 300 in my 3rd and 4th.

Audi TT has some decent welly at the top end (180+ mph in free air), can easily go through the corners as quick, if not quicker than your average F40 (more stable - but needs a good setup), only downside is front tyre wear...

TT looses alot of time last lap, whereas F40 is fairly consistent for the whole race.

Surprised how stable F40 is, with SH tyres, ALL driving aids off and chase-cam view, it's back end is still pretty solid on last lap.... :boggled:

Tried Daily C just there with the GT40 and failed miserably lol. It's beyond useless in a standing start race having started 5th I ended up dead last as the GT40 finally got up to speed. It was quicker through the corners than the F40 but there aren't many corners at Le Mans and the Ferrari's acceleration was too much. Got some good top speed though thanks to the monstrous tows you're able to get today!

Wish they would like do a race or two with most obvious choices and just ban most OP cars from these N series races.
What's the point in having so many cars in same class and having races turn into one-makes...
