I’ve been bouncing back and forth between the 3 races tonight, haven’t done a race yet as I’m still trying to get used to the faster cars and these tracks. So for now it’s been just qually laps, I’ve got a1:44.113 in an RCZ in Race A, 1:35.950 in a 911 RSR in Race B and a 1:58.702 in Motul GTR in Race C. I still can’t make it around 5 straight laps without a major mistake though, everything happens so much faster with race cars lol. I’ll get there though. :)

After hitting the 75.000 DR-Cap I started a new account. So this weeks video is something different. ;)
With a E / B Ranking i wanted to know if it´s possible for me to win a race from last place at the start.
I think i was on a good way but the penalty system killed my mission on the last lap. :ouch:
Maybe someone else has a good reason for this 3 seconds at 20:20 min...

You got 3 seconds because 2nd place gamed the broken penalty system.

The old "hit someone from behind, go off track and give the penalty to the innocent party" trick.

Yep, this is what happened, he knew what he was doing and stole the victory doing it.

I ran from the back 5 times or so (maybe an odd one more) a long while back on my GTP account and have the videos and will post them if I can verify my youtube account, well one day anyway. Only won the once though, trying to avoid much slower drivers is pretty tough too.

Yeh. First time out with the Gr2 cars is an experience. Those things are beasts. I just wish they would add a few more .

3 more coming with the update tomorrow, but they are all the same type of cars....NSX, RCF, GTR. I'm assuming they will have different specs though, so at least there will be more options.

Just came from Suzuka, had a good race. I plan to buy and use each of the 3 new Gr2 cars in Race C tomorrow. I wonder how it will shake things up, as these are older cars, so perhaps not as good or maybe regulations were different meaning they have some advantage, and then there is how BoP affects things. It might make Race C a continual surprise this week.

I just took a run at Race B, started P5, got bumped off the track at the very first corner to P13, I managed to get back up to P9 to finish but had a few mistake along the way. It was fun though, but my SR has gone from S Saturday night to C now though lol. Oh well, it’s all part of the fun :)

Well, no podiums for me last night but I don't care; I have all week to do better. I binned it several times during my two races on Suzuka, which definitely made life harder for me. I start well each time but all it takes is one lapse in concentration and you're off. It is brutal. My best in that race was 4th. If it wasn't for a stupid mistake at the last corner I would've snatched third. Oh well.

Worth a try. Restarting the game usualy fixes the bug where it sends you back to the sport mode screen instead of the screen with the pre-race messages.

Whenever I get booted while online I always get that blue screen message, error CE348-- something I think??

I tried Race A, Started P4 and managed to sneak up to P2 at the first turn but ended up finishing P3 which was cool. :)

Jeez Interlagos hasn't been kind. Started pole in my only two races and got moved aside in the first to finish 3rd, and just outright punted from about 3 car lengths back in the second to finish 9th. Brutal driving and my SR and DR have taken a hit. Maybe tomorrow.........

Sometimes it feels like I have a target on my back

Edit: Had some great battles with clean racing mid pack though.

I don't recall getting a blue screen. I've been hit by the "return to sport mode screen" bug a number of times, but only disconnected from the network during a race maybe 3 times out of over 234 days of Sport Mode racing. I think that's more likley to be a problem with the connection to the race server.

I have asked a few whats with these CE 34801 (I think) blue screen errors I get and nobody can really formulate an answer. Sometimes it happens practicing too but always when online racing. I have reinitialized my system 2 times at the suggestion of others to no avail. I get them a couple times a month, sometimes a couple a week.

Fuji with Gr.4 is going to be fun, can't wait to break out the Veyron.

For Gr.3 at Interlagos, I used the Vantage GT3 a while back and it had a good feel there, so I might try beating the Porsche with that.

Haven't tried any race in slot C besides the Le Mans events, this could be an experience. I'll be going with the SC430 because it's my favourite GT500.

(just hope the SC430 doesn't suck tomorrow, might have to try some lobbies to break the ice first.)

Had a quick try of the new gr.2 cars this morning, and it is pretty much as expected. They have slightly more power, but have slightly more weight and less downforce. I was about 0.5 secs off my Suzuka time in the new(old) GTR, so not sure if they will be able to compete there, but maybe at places like Fuji? I did have to push the brake balance forward to -2 on the GTR because I kept losing the rear end at the 1st corner.

Saying that I am still trying to get the hang of the gr.2 cars at Suzuka (Fastest lap is still in the 1:50's) so what do I know :)

I went to Interlagos daily race today, twice and both time I was "lucky" to have another car on the grid who didn't started the race and remained on the track for the entire race.
If you're behind that car on the grid, you'll loose 2-3 seconds while rolling start, it stay there.
And also, be careful to avoid that car for the entire race, I tested once if it's a ghost and, man, what a crash it was :)
Not 100% sure if it's an update bug, but I met the issue today , for the first time, never happened before to me, in daily races,

I love interlagos, using the gtr for now, which IMHO has much better brakes than most cars. That said I almost hit one Beetle last night in Senna essess but he had a nice message at the back "be kind" so I went off road instead :)))
Try messaging at the back :)

Well, I went 8 tenths quicker with the Atenza (thanks to its BOP buff) compared to the lap I did with it before the update yesterday

Did they just get rid of the one-makes? Finally!
Damn those races look tempting! Problem is, I just moved in a new home and have to wait a few more days until I have everything connected and running. Hope next week looks similar, without boring one-makes (well, the Top10 sheeps will create one-makes anyway haha)

Btw, are the new Gr.2 cars also 800k? I only have 1Mio and need/want them all ASAP

Race C for me tonight was almost comical. I started on the grid P11/18 on a mixed grid of DR/C and D (mostly C) with a few Bs thrown in. There were only two of us with one of the new cars. In my case the NSX.

The start of the race was weird to say the least! I suspect lag was at play. Auto drive was painfully slow, and at one point I was worried I was going to start rolling backwards when it let go (that has happend before to me :odd:). There were a bunch of cars doing an impersonation of a DJ's scratch turntable . They were there every lap for 5 laps. Very distracting approaching the final chicane, you just have to drive through them. After the first lap I was up to P4. My tyres started to go on lap 3 and I had a moment and lost 2 places, then 2 more by the time I came in to pit on lap 5. My tyres were completely shot and lap 4 and 5 I was sliding into the chicane.

I re-entered the race with an orange SR on auto drive (the first one I'd seen all race) in P9. On the back strait with no other traffic around, my place suddenly changed from P9 to P12 . Totally screwy! The new NSX seemed better on fuel, although the fuel meter showed more than half full when I was coming into the pit, but in the pits said I only had enough fuel for 2.something laps. I filled up with enough fuel for 5 laps, yet when I crossed the line I still had enough fuel for 1 lap. I had an easier time of it with the newer NSX. Crossed P12.

SR the same, DR dropped by 200. Another day above DR 1 .

This has happened in every Sport Mode race I've done today. It's usually just one car but in my last race at Interlagos there were 4-5 cars doing the Michael J Fox impression. The rolling start was really messed up. I lost 7-8 seconds before crossing the line to start lap 1. This game is getting worse by the day.

Suffer the same Autodrive bug in my 1st race and I am just in front of the bugged car, a bump and comfortable cruise at the back for the race.

Using the Ford GT for race B and tha ks player near me to have some fun clean racing.

Is it just my impression, Interlagos seems to be rougher and more real track-like, while it was silk smooth before the update?
