Something isn't right. The date for the next weekly is December. That's another week away. This week's races started on the 19 which is on Kudos Prime. However, the next date shows 2018-12-02.
2nd December is still next week, just next Sunday, I think the website finds the latest possible ones usually. In terms of this week's ones showing as 19th it might've beem because they were scheduled a couple of weeks in advance cos of the Live Finals

Today is Saturday. So, teeeeechnically, two Mondays away(however Japan read the start of the week Sunday or Monday). I get your second sentence.

Mine too. That’s cool, my buddy had an NA one back in the day too. Your right too, they handle very well. I just may try to find another one some day, I loved that car, when that turbo kicked in around 3500/4000rpms it just took off like a rocket. I had her up to 235km/h one night on an empty highway. :D
I plan on hopefully finding an unmolested turbo ii someday...which is gonna be hard since all the drift kids have snatched them up and trashed most of them since a couple years after initial d became popular... sigh..
My na was so much fun to drive, I want a turbo but the only times i ever really even needed more power in that car was going up a hill or on a highway, i could barely breach 180 km/h on flat because the engine wouldnt quite pull more than 5500 rpm in 5th lol.
They'll rev past 8000 stock i think haha.

I almost bought a perfect condition all white black leather 2+2 lightly tuned 88 anniversary edition from a helicopter mechanic once for 8 grand... 12 or 13 yrs ago but just couldnt quite come up with the cash at the time... One day

Well I hope you find one some day!! Hopefully not before me though. ;)

Well, I finally did it. I finally took my car (not Supra or 911 or beetle lol) on bop around that b track in under .40 on bop rh stock.
39.7! New personal best.
I reached my goal so I can relax now and not obsess. The key for me was getting my pedals very solidly mounted to a heavy piece of wood on the floor.
.Before I really didn’t think it mattered, but it’s just as important as a rock solid wheel. No more even very slight motion means better control and exit speed and I can relax my left foot I was using as a pedal stabilizer. No tension rises up through the leg and into my hands.
Scrap wood 13.75 US. 2m6 screws 49 cents. Finally getting my goal...priceless it wasn’t easy but it can be done with persistence.
I’m done on race B. I did get one podium which was nice and had a bit of the bad side of the game as well having my sr knocked back to 94 at one point. That’s what I don’t want. I won’t intentionally ever sacrifice sr for anything. The one time I did I had to find hard to get back. That is a royal waste of time. Had to go to Tsukuba to donate some dr in exchange for the 99. Tbh I am not usually so ocd on getting a time, but it was eating at me...Next week will be tough for me, I don’t know any of the tracks except the ring a little bit...

Stay thirsty my friends

I think those date headers are just for the end date of that batch of races. You can see the 'next session' countdown timer in the boxes are showing they will start at the usual times this week.

You betcha! I should crash a lot less on N24 than on horseback in RDR2.

Wondered where you had gone! Glad to see you back :gtpflag:

Thought with all this practice on Race B I would give the races a go - three races later - 40 SR point drop and 19,230 DR drop 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Well that was a bad move :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

I've not raced this week. Didn't fancy GR3 in race B as GR4 could sometimes be carnage, so I expect GR3 to be worse. I've just been enjoying setting times on race C. Won't race that either though lol.

Anyone ever do back to back identical laps before?

I'm having a lot of trouble racing again today, better do something else for today. But this week my best performance on daily race B was this one:
It went nearly perfect except for slamming againts the left wall in the busstop. But I won with 2nd place 18+ seconds behind. Now it was a D/B race although I was D/C at that moment, currently D/B again but still having trouble getting to D/A or C/A because normally I don't take that busstop chicane so consistently (other words I crash a lot, or I crash where there are those 3 long turns in the road I sometimes don't manage that last turn and crash against that orange wall.)

Consistency is the key and you seem to have that! Cheers
I also see that lap 1,2,3,4 very consistent, then 5&6 identical but one second faster..... just wonder, where did you find that one second improvement? Warmer tires, better grip?

Officially retiring the X2014 Race C for the weekend, with 10 wins, and 4 podium finishes. It's been super fun, haven't enjoyed Sport Mode this much in awhile, even though I get ~200 DR per win.

Something weird has happened though. On multiple occasions I started 2nd (or 3rd) to Top25 qualifiers who just couldn't keep it together for the whole race, and they finished multiple places behind me. I've never seen this happen before.. I guess doing hotlaps all day doesn't translate at all when tire wear is introduced to a space-ship of a car.

I digress; it's been great, and I must say Sport Mode needs more races with aero cars like the F1 and X2014.

Thanks, I wish I knew lol. I’m still using TCS 2 on these cars, I’m slower without it as I’m scared to hit the loud pedal. But I’m defiantly getting more consistent on this track throughout the week, I still don’t like it though. That chicane should not have walls, it’s stupid.

When will we get the first rally in sport mode?
Also, I definitely do not think the 911 is op. In terms of gr3, on wheel, I think the fr cars have many advantages. I literally tried 1 race in the 911 gr3 at Maggiore way back. It’s just too twitchy for me.
I respect the 911 as a phenomenal car, but imo it’s just not a good choice for me at all in sport mode. I just can’t control it consistently.
I see so many players 911 911 911. The other cars in the game have a lot to offer also. This week in race b I saw very few folks taking advantage of the heavier more power cars.
It’s like everybody looks at the top ten times and follows suit. I say be an individual!

We have had a handful of Gr.B races already which you may or may not know, but always on tarmac; I don't think we will ever get a full grid race on a Dirt track simply because it's completely unrealistic.

Thing is, for the first handful of months, the 911 was by far the best Gr.3, before a series of BoP balances. Even after being nerfed, it's still a great all-round car. It has the inertial benefit of MR without the downfall of the other MR cars. It has more rear downforce and is also great on tires and fuel.

That being said, the BoP is so tight right now it seems like every track has one car best suited for it, but great cars like the 911 will always be competitive on most tracks. I have 29 sport mode wins in my 911, it's done me right, I must say it's a great car. If you're having difficulty with it, maybe tinker with a negative brake balance.

@ARTAsean
It’s a great car. My first gr3 I used was the rs01. Until I went to nurb gp before the updated tire model. A couple other tracks too like gardens hairpin. They had a problem and did something.
So, I switched to fr, on nurbgp and after the fix was still rs01 dude until the bop got adjusted. I’ve never stuck with 911 or spent time.
Rs01 was op. Too much acceleration.
I’ve just found that heavy cars have advantages too, for me. I just posted because I see so many.
Also, I did run group b at streets of willow, that was an interesting one!
I like driving a rally car every once in a while. I think it’s fun in this game.

Is there anywhere where I can reliably farm SR? I've ended up dropping from SR S all the way down to C because the penalty system decided to punish me for other people's mistakes (ie. divebombing me, throwing me into the bus stop, trying to push me out of the way).

Scirocco or Megane. I also had good results with the SLS Gr. 4 and the M4 Gr. 4.

The TT feels not right (too cumbersome when exiting turns), and so does the Cayman.

I was worried to post this myself, but Lord you have my FULL support on this !

I tried a bunch of cars this week, Supra, R8, RCZ, GTR, Citroen GT, Ford GT, NSX, Viper, GTI VGT, R.S.01, Mustang, RC F GT3, Genesis, but the Porsche was a little more consistent for me and I feel like it handles a little better on this track. I wanted to like the Supra but short shifting it just messed me up lol. I’m done with this weeks races, I might start practicing today for next weeks races I think and try to get a head start on the competition. :)

Edit: A Rally race would be cool as long as it was a short one, it would be chaos, but super fun at the same time. :D

Do what I do, and just drop to the back of race C, and run to the end of the race keeping out of everybody else's way!

Did you have any races with me? Because I kinda think you did, but it seems you never share your psn on here so.....not sure. I've got a guess as to who you are though.

There weren't enough people racing for me to enjoy Race C, the few times I got 2nd place it was due to lots of mistakes and 3rd place was still usually miles behind.

Nope, in all my races I didn't see a single name I recognized. Though most of my races were on Thanksgiving so that makes sense.

And you're right about that, my last race finished with only 6 people, never seen that before. As for my PSN, yeah i enjoy ****-posting on here too much to reveal it. Ill make a new account some day.

Ahh well, I thought MAYBE the salty guy who finished 3rd in my last race last night was you, lol. We were battling till the end and he had the pace to beat me but had too much penalty to burn, then he spun out of the final chicane and lost what should have been an easy 2nd. After the race I told him good race and he just left.

I reckon the next Race A will be with either the Roadster or S-FR, but could also be the A110
What does everyone think?

Foolishly after drinking 1/2 a bottle of wine I did have one particularly bad race last night. But it was a 4th place finish to Brazilians and Patagonians. Come to think of it I don't think I've had any 3rds yet.
