I setup another account, and had enough money to buy an Evo for The Green Hell. Did a practice lap, and surprise, the pole setter was an "E" driver. Following that driver was a "B" driver that I saw in race A last week at BB. Then there was me ... I spent most of the race on the brakes too - a weird feeling. i know I should be drifting the tail out etc., but in my second lap, in a race , I thought it best to try and stay on the black stuff. I almost did but ran the grass and lost 12 seconds at the Schwedenkreuz - when you leave the initial snaky bits at the start, you go into the fast stuff, firstly a right bend (negotiated) and then the left kink one (where I went mowing the grass and found 4WD didn't help me much at all). Came third though but the winner was quick I reckon ...

If I'd been in my proper account, I would have lost 2,000 DR, no worries. Beaten by an E driver by 20 seconds. I'd have kept my SR though ...

Strangely my single qualifier has me position 239 in Asia, with a horrible feeling 08:31.264, including some off the tracks in the early part of the track.

You probably experienced a mixed DR-Field due to your account‘s SR (which Is B at first). I noticed that too. Fields get more homogenous when you climb in SR

Well I figured there was no doubt it would be the Fiat on Race A again. I think even having the track mirrored would at least go a little in the way of making this combination feel less tedious.

Looks like I'll be playing less this week too besides runs on Nord (at least, it's a different car from the Porsche which is a surprise.)

I noticed that last night, My SR has gone from C to S during my week at BB, the last 2 races literally was A to D's on DR but all S on SR. It was nice, a LOT of respect between racers, clean passes, good battles, but then its easier to be like that when the whole race feels like its in slow motion.

About SR - my second race on the new account. As an "E" with a "B" SR. No DR as yet. 5 races required for DR. So, this time I started 4th. Got hit and gouged in the first corners - back to 7th. Then they all but the first two cars, tangled - I twisted and turned through them, into third, where I finished. Some guy passed me though towards the end - but he was carrying a 10 second penalty. He stopped before the finish line too, so he must be keen in improving his SR. Well, the winner and myself were the only cars without red dots besides them!! I was a touch lucky though. Its fun not protecting your DR ... by then end of the week I may be ready to race. I reckon some of these E drivers are also on second accounts. Its a bit sad for those who are genuinely starting as E drivers though ... they must think they have no talent.

and Oh my normal race name is Blitztoo. My new one is To_Blitz. So after the first race, I was wrapped to see someone thanked me - Blitz - for the race!!! 👍 👍 👍

Then I realised my new name was To_Blitz - and it was my automatic comment thanking people for the race .... "To_Blitz": Thanks for the Race!! :banghead:

And some us *know* we have no talent :lol:. Just waiting for the countdown before the race... I expect it will be ......messy :crazy:.

Edit: Arrrrrrrgle!!!! "Disconnected from network" :banghead:. This was instead of getting tossed back to the Sport Mode screen. I was all set to start P2 on a mixed DR/D/C grid. Could have been a bit sticky.. only 7/16 of us actually set qualifying times :eek:.

Two one make races and a one make race at Nurb - this just tells theres no way bop works in N-class.. to the point PDI is not willing to even try it in daily races. :indiff:

Pretty dull selection again :-(

Lago Maggiore is getting very repetitive, also Mt. Panorama. Nordschleife is a great track, but the Evo X on sport tyres is a real handful.

I'm trying to figure out whether to concentrate on Race B or C this week. I've tried both and there's quite a bit of contact on each, so my SR has dropped from S to A after just two races. Rats!

Might have to try Race A and see how I get on.

I remember entering races similar to this last time in the Porsche especially on the first day. A long track usually means less people bothering to set a time and wanting to just jump into race or those not being able to finish a hot lap in time before it starts. Also people like me who don't want to set a time and would rather practice/learn the track from the back since I'd hold everyone else up.
 
Here in this place is a means to your end. Touch it, feel it. Green Hell!!! And the rally master returns to the special stage that is Green Hell. Off road, on road... no road... this race had it all. After a re-start of the game I actually managed to make it onto the start grid and the race :crazy:. My time had me starting P2/15 on a mixed grid of DR/D and B (no Cs). Again only the first 7 qualified. Aside from the pole, guess where all the DR/Bs were :nervous:?

The race starts and I'm already getting hassled by the guy behind before we even get to the starting line! I was bumped at T1 but I made my car wide...I will not be bullied :mad:. He fell back and was passed by some drongo who thought he was part of Team Emperor. He had the attitude to go with it. He barged past me and into P2. That's where it stayed for the rest of the race. I started to catch up, and gained a 4s lead on the guy in P4. I was really hoping Mr Emperor stuffed up and ended in a sand trap :mischievous:. No such luck :yuck:. The race was pretty tense... not enough left for Bathurst tonight. I think I might alternate.

I finished blue with no penalties (track limits are so lax you have to be trying pretty hard to get any track limit penalties). Those DR/Bs who got stuck at the back of the grid really helped me. DR up from 237 to 1253 :eek:. Another day above DR 1 :D.

Early nah. Depends on how bad the backfield is really. Friday maybe to avoid the weekend chaos. DR A+ is a bit far away atm since I'll be starting at DR.1. I haven't raced since my DR tests, starting from scratch.
 
I guess I'll be on the ring all week, maybe some tries at race C. I am so sick of the combo for race A, i am pretty sure this is the fourth time we had this combo in like 6 months smh.

I only looked at the race info screen, and it said race time is 4:30. I assume there will be daylight. I think the one in the dark said 5:30 or 6:30.

Hey, @Groundfish your buddy is directly behind Dairyworker on the Nurburgring leaderboard. I suppose that's where you'll be able to find him this week, if you're interested. 👍

My car is ready for the Nordschleife, now I just need time to start racing! This afternoon people will see a lot of this hopefully.

Now it better not drive like crap :lol: I think we had this combo before when the dailies were still dailies. One advantage of weeklies, plenty time to decorate cars!
 
What brake balance are you guys using on Race B? I played with an older Evo and had to push the balance to the front by 3 degrees to make it pivot easily on the turns. I haven't played with this Evo yet though.

I really like those GR.2 combos there. The track is awesome to overtake and drive side by side through the corners. :cheers:

Great race and everyone behaved themselves. One hell of a tank slapper from the guy in p2 on lap 4ish, he looked so quick then uuuurrrrrrgh.
