Mine used to say "We're on the road to oblivion!". It currently says "Use your friggin brakes, not me!".

Two races for me tonight, both DTSII. First up with the Veyron. I was able to beat my Viper time, but the Veyron is a very blunt tool. I started on the grid P11/14 on a mixed grid of DR/A-D. Once again had a Huracan try to force it's way through.. Veyron is sturdier than the Huracan :p. I was struggling a bit and just coulnd't seem to get the bus stop right.. finished P12. SR went up 4, DR dropped 350.

Second race I took @05XR8 's advice and tried the Scirocco, against my better judgement ( I just don't dig FFs). I didn't have enough time to try beating the Veyron time, so I started P12/16 on a mixed grid of DR/A-D.

Looking at the screen shot of the grid lineup there's a name that's familiar but not sure if it's the PSN of another planeteer or not. Winstrong. Shout out if you are here :).

Anyway, race starts and away we go. T1 was kinda messy, and I couldn't get much drive through, but I kept up. The bus stop was chaos, but again I made it through. Hung in there with out much incident, till we hit the bus stop again. I was really boggying through and didn't have a good view coming out till the last minute. I had to cut through between the kerb and the fence on the outside of the exit to avoid a collision :scared:. I was really barrelling through and picked up a penalty for the cut... I'd rather the penalty than a collision 👍. Sure enough, 3rd lap and a Huracan comes pushing me out of the way.... he later spun out and slammed into a wall. Last lap and I didn't get the best exit coming out of the final chicane. I had a Huracan right on my tail. Heading toward the finish and he had pulled along side. I was sure he had crossed just ahead of me, but apparently not :eek:. I finished P8. SR was white, DR went up about 400.

Another day above DR 1 :dopey:.

Yeah, that was me on my Alt account. We had a good run going there for a bit too but I think you caught a banana peel at one point, then I did too later on lol, I thought you finished right behind me but I wasn’t 100% sure. it wasn’t a bad race overall. :)

I will be. I have a slow Q lap now, which I want to improve. Are you still racing from the back today? both my accounts are SR-C right now. I'm at 39 points on my main one, 29 on my alt. I gotta run some errands but will be on after noon (EST). If we can hook up, I can always buy the Vette on my alt and run from the back there. Right now I only have 3 race cars on that account. If I can get close to your Q time, and your SR isnt perfect, I can probably run some A races and get up to B or A so we get matched up near the front. It would be nice to get a clean podium...though my chances at a win against you, on this track, are probably slim. But hey, there are always those bananna peels.:lol:
 
Just tried B again, only 2 D drivers (me and number 14) everyone else above, first corner total mess, made a few places by hanging back, then rammed off by a fast car coming back from the carnage, spun, reset and then what's the point.... there's no way to recover. Decided to shed SR by exiting...... honestly, I can see why over 80% of people who bought this game choose not to bother with the online 🤬 https://www.kudosprime.com/gts/stats.php?stat_preset=sport_play_ratio

I will be yeah. My Q time is set on my good account, I’m just running from the back on my alt account though, SR currently 21 on Alt, so we may just meet up again today, hopefully! It was nice running with someone I knew again, it’s been a while now. :)

I tried a few hot laps this morning without TCS and I could get way ahead of my Q time in each one but ended up blowing it somewhere every single time so I gave up lol. I run TCS 2 in the race, it’s safer and easier on tires.

I went in the Supra this time for Green Hell and I'm not really fan of it compared to the 4c. In the 4c, I never have to worry about fuel very much. In the Supra, I did.

Unless I was shifting and managing my fuel wrong, I was at 0.9 laps of fuel by the end of L1 so I had to play it safe by running in FM2 from FM1 for L2. I was in 6th up until Carraciola-Karussell where I span out upon going onto the throttle after exiting :banghead: (probably should had run some hot laps in her since I've used the Supra only once or twice at Bathurst before). I went from 6th > 11th so it was quite costly. One mistake really does screw you over on this track.

I ended with 0.0 fuel so I just barely made it and ended 11th place which was the same as my door number. Later I'll be in the RCZ, hopefully.

@Invisigoth is that your PSN handle? Hopefully I can catch you in a race sometime, been diggin the 7th-14ths I can manage in race B this week. ;) I tried the VW but have been much better in the Hyundai.

Not quite. There's a hyphen after the in. Other than lobbies, which aren't region separated, we aren't likely to race. Bathurst is my home track, that should give you an idea which region I race :lol:.

The only thing worse for DR/SR than Seaside is Seaside in reverse...


Did a race with sr S only grid, finished downgraded to sr B, one race, whole grid red...

People shoving and slamming, every time someone t-boned me I ended up with -sr.

No racing for me.

Just ran a B myself, lobby full of D/S and 1 S/S & A/S. Pretty clean 1st lap until the chicane before the long straight at start/finish. Looked like a junk yard of race cars and plenty of rammers.

How many of you guys would be interested in a once a week lobby race where we run through the 3 daily races that week? On one of either Thurs, Fri or Sat evenings? 6 races, 2 of each, reverse grid based on previous race results for the second races and use your Q time from that week’s dailies for the first races. Just for fun, no keeping scores or keeping track of anything week to week. I’ve been thinking about trying to set something like this up.

I will be yeah. My Q time is set on my good account, I’m just running from the back on my alt account though, SR currently 21 on Alt, so we may just meet up again today, hopefully! It was nice running with someone I knew again, it’s been a while now. :)

I tried a few hot laps this morning without TCS and I could get way ahead of my Q time in each one but ended up blowing it somewhere every single time so I gave up lol. I run TCS 2 in the race, it’s safer and easier on tires.

Since I went with no TCS, I can't go back. Yes, the bananna peels are more plentiful, but the handling is more what I like in a car. I rely on the tighter lines I can hold when on the gas, and I enjoy the challenge. I trained myself on Fuji with GR-2. When I started it felt like I would never get the car to hook up in 1st or 2nd gear, but now, most places, I'm mashing the throttle in 2nd like I'm on TC3. I even raced the Nissan 92 with no TCS last time at LeSarth. That was a challenge, but I kept it on track and had some good results. It's weird, but when I turn on aids now, I usually do worse because the car doesn't react how I expect. I tried CSA and if I got a bit sideways, I'd correct, so would the computer, and the car would be spining the other direction. It would be a big help if all the usable throttle wasn't in the last 5mm of pedal travel. One day I'll find someone that can make me a plug in to adjust exponential like I can on RC cars. Then I'll put the first 3/4 of the current travel in the first 1/4, and spread the last 1/4 over 3/4's and have some real control. I bet it would be worth a second right off the bat.

Edit: I've never raced a lobby race, but if you set it up, and there's no commitment needed, I could do it most times. Sounds like fun!

Edit again: and the best part is, if we got one of those stupid races where PD gives us 4 laps, but it should really be 5 or 6, we can do that!

I agree 100% with you, the cars handle way better without TCS, my throttle control just isn’t quite good enough with the higher powered cars yet, but I’m getting there though. You’ve come a long way in a short time yourself, Congrats on the hard work paying off! :cheers:

As for the lobby, it would be a no commitment thing, just for fun, whoever can make it on any given night could race.
 
First race Sunday, -17 SR. Why did I bother getting my SR back up last night... More and more doubts about the penalty zones as both times I got rammed off the road, once with a nose against my inside rear bumper, the other flat on from behind, 8 sec total. Not looking forward to being force ably placed behind these idiots again.

Lol got punted in T1 and get SR Down for it. Full on punt. Sure I'll start all the way last, still made it to 5th, penalty free this time :)

Hey, since you guys know BOP really well can you give suggestions for a good Gr.3 car for Monza? Tires x2 Fuel x1. I'm tempted to use the Ferrari because it's their home track but would another car be better? I want something easy to learn but don't skimp on the horsepower :D
 
I've been practicing the sf19 on Suzuka just in case next week's race C is indeed with this car. Plus, it's a joy to drive :D

Been doing time trial and custom races and ... Oh Boy ... If this is the set up that we'll see, i don't see how we'll avoid chaos and mahem ! Even the AI struggle to find the right braking points :D:lol::D:boggled:
But, it's still a fun race to drive. At the speed that these cars are going mistakes cost ..... A lot !!! :nervous:

Easy to drive with good top end: Nissan, Mustang, Lexus, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Corvette
Great top end, not so easy to drive: McClaren F1, Ford GT LM, VW GTI Vision.

The McClaren, until it gets nerfed, is definitely the fastest in a straight line right now. I think the Mustang or the Nissan is the fastest of the FR cars, but the Aston and the Jag might be close.
 
Thanks, I'll probably use the Aston as I already have a custom livery on it and it's for tonight.
 
Just did one Race C today; took the Mustang again and started 9th. I missed my breaking point at Aremberg and went off slightly but enough to send me into a spin and reset. As soon as I unghosted a Russian in his Beetle punched me off once more (I watched the replay: he was all over the place and approaching Aremberg he took out three cars by divebombing, me being the fourth — Karma: He pitted to refuel and change from hardly worn hard tires to fresh hard tires:cheers:). Following the Aremberg incident I passed a spun Dutchman in his BMW only to be bumped by him at Bergwerk: I tried to turn back into him in Retaliation (because his bump clearly was intentional which was also confirmed by replay) but only slightly touched his Cars backside. I was down to 16th then.

The rest of the race was dull. Everybody pitted and I finished 10th.

But so many fast laps payed out: I finally got Gold for the mastering the Nordschleife. Unfortunately instead of honoring my persistence I got a bloody Mégane G4 for it.:odd:
 
More praise from me on the McLaren F1. It is very good on fuel, and top speed gets to 178 on the end straight which i bet is tops of the field. Much better than the vette or rsr for me.

Didn't see an answer. There are some pre-made messages in the chat, I imagine you meant the room entry and race finish messages? To change those you go to your 'my menu' page I think it is? Top left GT logo. Then top left again cog logo.
 
I did a further few races on the Ring and this time with the RCZ in mostly DR B with a few As and Cs lobbies. Finishing both 7th and 2nd (!) from near the back.

I could had got 1st in my last race but was given a 3 sec penalty to burn for tapping a McLaren off the track that was squirreling and losing control around Hatzenbach. I sometimes see McLarens on L2 like they're driving ice.

It was a nice way to part with the track. I'd never had dreamed of finishing podium at the beginning of the week.

If there was a car tier list, the RCZ would be T1 for me (thanks to those who mentioned it). Very, very stable, fuel efficient and above all nice to drive.
 
Just raced C 3 times. No Q, still in the Vette. It's rough out there, and yet some drivers are gentlemen. Finished 4th, 6th and 8th. Got fastest lap with the 4th place, had 2nd and 3rd in my sights and had a brain fart and completely missed a brakeing point and went off. Had to burn 5 seconds at the end, so my 8:38 was actually my fastest race lap this week if I subtract the time I waited to burn my penalty. I have to wonder what it would have been if I hadn't flown off and been reset. I'm thinking I'll paint my stock Vette and try 2 more before I try to put down a decent Q time and race a couple from closer to the front(I hope!)
