Another great race to cap off the evening, @Sven Jurgens was right on my tail until a laggy Brazilian waxed him forn3 seconds. We were rocking there too, making up all kinds of ground. Great racing with you tonight Sven, that was a blast man!! I can’t wait until tomorrow, it’s supposed to rain again lol. :D

I feel like there may have a 1 day kart race at the short Brands Hatch track, a long time ago. Could be wrong, though.

Yes, a few times actually. Maybe also at Miyabi once.

Definitely on Brand's, I have proof

PD needs to hire some mathematicians. I had a great race with @Pigems, unfortunately I got behind a laggy Brazilian who started braking way earlier than expected (and that I could see due to lag, car suddenly jumping back kind of thing). I had positioned myself to the inside to avoid running into his lag just in case, but I see on the replay, not enough as he lagged just a bit to the left at the moment of impact. Lag made the bump worse, 3 sec penalty for me.

So the next lap comes around and I'm still close behind the car with @Pigems in front. I check my gap and it goes from 1.0 sec to 6.6 sec where it stabilizes. 3 sec penalty = 5.6 sec lost. Avoid penalties at all cost!

Fun race anyway. The gap pretty much stayed the same for the rest of the race. Good match and we finished with still the same car in between. See you next time on the track! Great night!

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who plays this game that has a job.
Your not alone .

First time in 2 weeks I got to play last night.

Disconnected from both race ‘c’ I tried and lost 1000dr and down to 91sr from 99.

Pretty sure it was my internet, cycling the router seemed to fix it but was too tired by then.

Not about to do Suzuka again considering I hammered it a week or so ago with super formula. Race B is a nightmare for me with all those barriers lol so race A it was.

Oh my god what a snoozefest, sorry but these cars are not fun at all imo. So slow and boring. The amount of divebombing in this race was a joke, had one race and turned it off to play FUT which is where you'll find me for the rest of this week.

Don't worry, you're not, I am lucky to get 5 races in a week while I am at work, will get a couple of hours in on a weekend morning because I get up before anyone else.

I found Race B ok as long as you are an S driver I had 2 clean races and managed to make up loads of places as I sailed past others who had clipped the barrier, I enjoy the different challenge of having no room for error.

I am loving Race A!!!

Not sure why, its slow and mistakes aside, very difficult to craft a pass, but I am really enjoying it, had a couple of cracking duels last night, but alas, always one that ruins an evening!

I had one pole start last night, after starting usually around 5th, so I was excited as my race pace is actually quicker than my snail like quali pace (12.5), which whilst not fast, its competitive at DR C where I am permastuck!

Anyhoo, my pole lasted until T5, this muppet hits me at T1, and T2, then T5 after I have gotten about 1.5 seconds away from him, when I get hit from so far back I am surprised he didn't ghost, yes I'm facing the other way whilst everyone drives past and yaaaaay I get a penalty too, as presumably the idiot spun onto the grass after hitting me. Then it was the rest of the race mission to catch this d!ckhead, which I did, but he was going so slowly I just gave him a revenge nudge whilst overtaking him around the outside of the final turn.

Reported him afterwards. I got fastest lap, next fastest lap was a second slower than me, so its safe to say this guy genuinely ruined my race, he did get a DR reset for his troubles, as it seemed it wasn't just me.

I've been getting my miles in in the morning running Q laps.
I tend to get more Q-laps in than actual race laps, as I can grab a quick handful of laps whenever I'm home, with no problem if the wife / kids / work / general life interrupts. Only time I seem to be able to guarantee enough time for a whole race without someone needing something is an the small hours of the morning!

Race A. Q-time 1'11"8xx

1st race, 2 star win ~!
3 star was maybe possible if I had pushed, but I decided to play it safe since I wasn't being pressured at all.

Feeling pretty good about myself...
2nd race...

Started 3rd, tried to hold my position.
Being pressured from behind & being bumped from behind made me lose my calm. (All started at the 5 min mark)
Dropped to 6th.

Not feeling the magic I was hoping to get out of Race A. Off the pace in quali with a 1:12.3 and started 8th.

Thinking the magic I had with Daily Race C might have gotten me into better company than I can keep up with.

How did you find that? Is it quicker than a one stop?
Maybe. Depending on starting position. An NSX did a no stop. Started 8th and finished 5th. It got passed on the last lap at 130R. Tyres not even worn 1/4.

The Pole sitter(GT-R) started on RM and finished 2nd(one stop). 4th(GT-R) started on RH and finished 1st(no stop). They were nose to tail at the finish on just about equally worn tyres.

Well I did a few Race Bs. Qualified with a 1:17.9 which gave me P5 in a lobby with a mix of DR A and B. I was expecting to see a One-Make of 4cs but alas, there was only four including me. Maybe this car isn't for everyone. I know I disliked it at first although it gradually grew on me. The diversity was nice to see (shout out to the guy who brought the Veyron. That's a touch of class.)

Anyway, the start wasn't too great for me. At the beginning of L2, I lost a bit of momentum and grazed the wall entering T1 and was later passed by P6 and P7 while exiting the first tunnel. Although I gained a place to P6 since one of the drivers ahead had a penalty to serve. I was stuck behind P5 for the next two laps until he decided to block me near the end of the first tunnel which handed him a penalty. I also gained a place here from another penalty server. The driver who blocked me was surprisingly apologetic and let me pass upon entering the second tunnel. Now to 4th place on the final lap, I gained a further spot since someone else had a penalty. I finished P3. The blocker apologised in chat after. Overall, a good and mostly incident-free race.

I know a lot of people will find something to complain about this combination one way or another but with the inclusion of penalty zones, it wasn't that bad. A very far cry from when we last had Expressway with Gr.4. The constant ghosting and unghosting of drivers before penalty zones were included made it unbearable for me. Now it's pretty fun.

I agree, the new penalty zones are a big improvement and make racing much cleaner and more enjoyable.

Well as sick as i am of tsukuba this is a fun little combo. Got a time of 1.11.782 and i know i can do better.

Yeah it is a good combo, I have a replay of a race from many months back with this combo, i ran OK then and ran OK last night. Qualied with a 12.1, if i can shave 3 to 4 tenths off of that i'd be way further up the leaderboard, times are extremely tight.

Had one cracker last night, qualied 7th and ran in that spot into T1, two cars ran each other off on lap 1, one more on lap 2, i made a (bump) pass on lap 3 and the tho leaders binned it on lap 4. I somehow managed a win without doing much but being there to collect the spoils.

This is the replay of my 15th to 3rd run in the Nissan GTR, it’s gonna be hard to top this one. :)

@Sven Jurgens The Bumper Sticker

This forum. First @Invisigoth gets me into liveries now I've mr qualify hooked on racing without qualifying  Keep going and sooner or later you will get your first unqualified victory. Then you're really hooked :gtpflag:

I never got close enough to read that sticker, maybe tonight! You learn fast for 'sucking' at GR.2. It's hard to keep up already. I'll do my best, will need to take a bit more risks when a car gets dumped between us again.

:dopey: I'm sure I don't know what you mean? I missed out on my last chance at Catsareloony. The morons doing the NBN are too incompetent to manage to keep disruptions to a minimum, so internet and cable tv were down for 30h. Now I know why the isp sent a mystery package of a new modem with no explanation .

This weeks races leave me disinterested and uninspired, so I've been trying to get the Red Bull standard at la Sarthe down to an 8 min race .

It’s definitely fun to start at the back on this combo, that was a lot of fun last night. I’m thinking about trying the NSX today to see it it’s easier on tires, it’s raining again so I’ve got the day off and lots of time to kill lol. I always did suck at Gr2 before, I don’t know where this consistency/speed has come from, I guess I’m improving lol. I was in such a groove last night, I had the throttle control down so well, I hope it’s still there today. I can’t wait to get back out there! Will you be out today? I didn’t care for the liveries at first either but they are fun, I wish I knew how to make my own stickers though. :)
