I had to look up what that meant, I had absolutely no clue  :D I haven’t ventured into the cartoon characters yet, maybe someday though. :)

Sweet! I look forward to seeing the end result.

I’ve only ever gone full bore like that on one car, the one I was gonna use for the 2.4h race that was supposed to be last Sunday but got canceled, it’s a LOT of work, and mine was still pretty basic in the grande scheme of things. I have no clue how people make the extremely intricate ones, it must literally take days for some of them. :)

This was the car. :D

Nicely done! That thing looks pretty cool. 👍

And the chances are, what you want has already been made by someone else. So use them.

Or not. When I was doing my Bathurst livery the only decals I could find were the Australian flag and the Marlboro decal. The explorer is painful and hard to find anything.

The most satisfying moment I've had in this game, aside N24 at night, was introducing @Sven Jurgens to Inkscape :p. Aint I a stinka?

6 tenths up on yesterday's 2:10.201 at Suzuka. Potentially a 2:09.6xx in the plucky little NSX. That'd be a personal best. By quite a way.

Lost it all at Spoon, and finished the lap with a 2:10.294

Using the WRX in Race C myself, and can do a no stopper using nothing lower than FM2. Granted, I ain't quick, but I finish the race before the countdown ends, but a FM1/FM2 no stopper is very achievable.
FM1? Nah, you barely get to the end and you shortshift for the entire race. Plus, I thank the guy who recommended me to use the Evo because it's really fast and stable, I actually improved my time.

I’ve been trying out different manufacturers for a little while to see who has the best all around gr4 and gr3 combo. Mercedes-Benz was my go to for a long time, but they haven’t been as good since the last patch imo.

Lexus seems to be the best combo I’ve tried so far. What other manufacturers should I look out for?

I’m gonna go with Honda again, but I only do the TT’s in FIA. :)

Edit: The Ferrari is not the best car for Race C, I went FM3 the whole way except for FM2 on the back straight on L1 and FM1 on the back straight on L2, tires were decent though. :)

Edit 2: CRB on the Nurb?? Whaaaaat? I’m calling it a night, it can only go downhill from here.

Dodge Vipers... But by that, I mean avoid them at all costs.

I've heard that jaguar and aston martin are pretty good, but be aware that it also looks like many people are signing up with them.

Good racing tonight, cleared 6 cars with 4 victories and two 2nd places.

Huracan 2nd place after many attempts to get the clean race bonus, too hard to avoid people in that one.
McLaren F1 very stable, but gets hit from behind due to earlier braking point. I got a victory with it when I managed to sprint away at the start.
V12 Vantage fast and stable, another 3 star victory.
WRX victory from 2nd place, also very stable, but no fastest lap and ran out of fuel on the way to the line.
F-Type second place with my best lap so far 8:26.374, helped by drafting a V12 Vantage
Lancer Evo, not the fastest but very capable, 3 star victory, fun racing with @NosOsH

Then I tried the Toyota FT-1 but ended up starting 5th in the fast room. Despite clinging to the inside, braking perfectly, the Brazilian behind me came alongside and drove into me at the apex like I wasn't there. That knocked me off course into a slide so the car behind me hit me. I get SR Down, clean streak of 5 reset, the Brazilian S/S driver gained places while leaving a mess behind.

Anyway I had a great race with @NosOsH the rest of the way. I could have had him, but messed up before the final corners and had saved too much fuel. I'll catch you next time :)

And as usual the fast SR.S room is the messiest, so many penalties in that race. SR.99 is just asking for trouble.

My brake pedal is faulty so I can't race well until its fixed - I either manually calibrate and then the brakes are either on or off, so gentle braking and trail braking etc is impossible; if I use the auto calibration then the brakes come on quite a lot, with my foot off the brake pedal, sometimes a tiny bit of braking but sometimes a fair bit more, when they should not be on at all.

So I had a drive earning money - I thought I'd like to use Le Sarthe as the money earner, but having read that one needs at least a 15 million car to earn heaps of money. Which is an oxymoron because if you can afford one of those 15 mill (the coupe version of the AC Cobra) or a 20 million car (X13 V12 Jag, a LeMans open Ferrari or the race GT40) you don't need the money ... so I drove the oval.

The curious thing though is how if you are alongside a slower car there - the robot car will aim towards you and hit you. And the robot will shift across and hit you, bounce off, and then it will do it again. The robot drivers will also radically change their racing line if you are approaching them, which invites one to hit them (and hence you loose your 50% dollar bonus).

When you pass them, on the outside of the track approaching a corner, they'll then dive into approaching corner and then they'll be going far to fast and hence they'll have to hit your car's inside rear quarter.

Clearly the developers at GTS like people to crash into each other. After all they design their robot drivers to drive that way. No wonder they reward crashing drivers.

I confess, I hate gr4 for the same reason I hated art class back in the day.
I just suck at it.

Managed a 2.09.322 on the tt for race b But I just hate the way they car drives exiting corners. Tried the Lexus and it feels like driving a brick.
Tried the jaguar and while it has potential, it's gonna take some work.

What these cars all have in common is that sometimes they betray me.
Some people enjoy fighting the car, not me. I Just want a car I can rely on and fight the track.
I'm still gonna try because it's Suzuka and I've always done well. But by the beer I'm holding right now, I could use some aero

So the conclusion to the N24 Race C is save fuel, do not pit, unless you want to fall through the field? There is a reason why a race like that ends up with lots of SR loss and many players getting upset. Essentially every single driver in the field is driving with a different strategy, that can only lead to pain, and pain leads to suffering, and that leads to good kid becoming Darth Vader..

I think i will stick to my no Q lap and run at MIX 6 on the first lap, the ring will sort out most of the other drives and i am free to metal the pedal on the last lap.

Question is, what car should i go with? I am usually a BMW kind a dude.. in the game, and it seems solid, but i have a feeling that some of the other cars, like the supra, could do the first lap with a lesser nerf...?

The M6 has great handling but is really bad on fuel and kind of slow on the straights. I recommend trying the Mercedes, the handling is a bit duller but you can do the whole race on Mix 1.

Unless you are using an auto transmission, just short shifting a little will get you through the race with fuel mix 1 no problem in the ferrari

Here is my final best lap for Race A of 1:27.503 which is currently good for top ten worldwide and first in the Americas region.

My optimal time is about half a tenth quicker, but after over 400 miles total of trying to be perfectly precise on a controller I am perfectly happy with what I have now.
Hopefully this can help y'all get faster or at the very least help to avoid hitting walls sliwing you down yet getting an unfair time penalty that slows you down even more.

Used the RC F Proto for my 2nd N24 race, and I did an 8:13.9 in that car before entering the race. Pole start with the Jag time, an Atenza in 2nd, and an Aston in 3rd, with @CapraKiwi in 8th in another Aston.

Race started and I had a slight door handle contact with Minami-san (the Atenza driver) out of T1B, then held him up for almost the entirety of the race, with a few small errors on the way, but on Döttinger Hohe on the final lap, Wtru (the Aston driver) suddenly reveals himself and shot past me, and I was further incapacitated by Minami-san taking the slipstream, dropping me down to 3rd at the end. Total race time: 16:49.464 (0.88x seconds behind Wtru, the race winner)

Interesting, thanks for the tip. I do use MT, how short are you shifting it?

Finger went numb right at the Penalty Zone on the last lap. R8 was patient for 3/4 of the last lap so I didn't attempt to pass when I caught up in the draft. No clean bonus from that RCZ at the back. It wound up going off on its own a bit later in the lap. Why doesn't that happen BEFORE I get these cheap orange arrows?

Got my first win in an all B- S room at Suzuka last night, and not in my usual go-to Scirocco either. Sure it was another FF car (the shame), but the RCZ being quicker in a straight line leaves me less vulnerable to punters than the Scirocco did.

Started on pole, drove away to around 3 seconds lead, managed the gap and not took risks, first win in 3 weeks, very happy. Forced myself to turn the PS4 off at that point as it would have been all downhill from there!!

The nordschleife is one of my favourite track (i have experiences on the real one.. too ) so when i find the event interesting i return to the sport mode...

some screens from the last days ..

What's your qualy time, to get pole in a B/S lobby?

I only have time for one race this morning, luckily it was a good one :)
aW0d.jpg

I started 4th, The Lexus behind me insisted on overtaking in T1. I took car to avoid him so he rammed 3rd on his dive from the left across my nose. That created an obstacle with more traffic coming from behind. I couldn't avoid a slight tap to the car that was hit by the Lexus but the penalty system got it right! The Lexus got a penalty. The race continues, the Lexus barges past another car then loses it forcing 3rd to slow down. I pass cleanly into 2nd but it soon becomes obvious that 3rd is faster than me. He's patient enough to wait until after Flugplatz where I hug the left and lift a little to let him back through. He build up a 10 sec lead on me during the rest of the race, correct choice. The Lexus quit...

My best lap in the FT-1 was only 3:29.983. It's not that fast and needs quite a bit of fuel saving. Stable for avoiding trouble though.

So I had a drive earning money - I thought I'd like to use Le Sarthe as the money earner, but having read that one needs at least a 15 million car to earn heaps of money. The two lap la Sarthe race is only worthwhile *if* you get the clean race bonus. Same as the Gr1 race at Monza. I've been using the 3 lap Red Bull Standard race to get my creds.

Question is, what car should i go with? I am usually a BMW kind a dude.. in the game, and it seems solid, but i have a feeling that some of the other cars, like the supra, could do the first lap with a lesser nerf...?

The M3 is awesome around the ring. On the second lap I was part way into the Nordschleife before I was down to half a tank. That was just short shifting, no messing with the fuel map.

N24 is addicting though. Tripped over myself in both of these races. However, I was behind a jittery fuel saving AMG GT3.
In the 86, I caught some grass on the outside curb, just as got 4th place. daggone near last, but moved up. At the start, pesky TT couldn't keep up with me otherwise. There was a row of them finished 3rd-8th. Something like that. M4 won from pole.👍 I think one RC F on the grid.
