Just looked at entering Autopolis, realised I only have four Gr.2 cars and three of those are Meta candidates :banghead: Xanavi Nismo GT-R, Motul Autech GT-R and Raybrig NSX. Asia region top ten qualifiers is alread eight NSX and one each of the GT-R's.
I don't like driving the metas (regardless of philosophical and ethical concerns, I suck in them), looks like it'll be the RC-F for me.

Also tried a few Q laps at Maggiore, eight seconds off the Asia lead time and no consistency, need practice or I'll be a hazard in race.
There is a good chance that the GTR is so numerous on the list because it was the META last time we ran Gr 2. It's the car people are most used to.
I think I will try all my Gr 2 this time around.

Doood! Get a grip!!! It's only Monday.... Not enough time to establish what will be the "META" for the week. Just drive whatever :dopey:.
Let me re-phrase:
I don't like driving the metas, I can't drive them fast or consistently. Looks like it'll be the RC-F for me regardless of any philosophical concern about choosing metas or not.

There is a good chance that the GTR is so numerous on the list because it was the META last time we ran Gr 2
There were (and still are as of five minutes ago) only two GTR in the Asia top ten, though one of them has taken top spot. The rest are Raybrig NSX.

I must be in the wrong mindset or too tired, I'm 9s off the pace for C, 8s for B and 5s for A. I'm usually a lot closer than that on at least one of the three races. More practice and more sleep :)

Just had a look at this week's daily race, now THIS race C is more my type strategy wise: Multiple compounds and people having to choose when to stop. Time to see if I still make the ole' "Start on hardest compound, finish on softest" strat still work.

Now I may have to go shopping... someone's Q'd an RC-F in the Asia top ten :banghead:
On the good side.... my initial laps on Race C sucked cause I'd not read the race conditions correctly and I was running Q sessions on the harder tyres.... dropped four seconds, now I'm only six seconds off the top Asia Q time.

Does this mean we have to start spelling colour "color" (I prefer kolor myself ;)), and aluminium, "aluminum"?
Well, you have to use "color" if you want your text colour tags to work, because HTML and BB Code is American :D But otherwise no - the AUP merely specifies "English" and doesn't make any mention of regionalised variants. Even Australian.

Of course I have to use US English for the site's articles, but my posts are all in good, old-fashioned, proper English like what the Queen says.

So " It's made of 🤬 so it's really light. I put MR 🤬 on it and painted blue, and red and some other 🤬." works?

Ok, do you remember what your best QT was at Spa on TCS 3?

::gulp:: yes, it was 18.8 Supra default , 911, 19.3 no tcs

Man, I love the regular layout of Lago Maggiore..I hate that we only ever seem to see the reverse layout. It just, to me, feels so unnatural. It's like going the opposite direction on an oval.

I hope we see Spa more often. Last week was the most I've played this game since the dailies turned to weeklies.

that is just tragically

At least it's not the 60hp Fiat.

My guess is that they are getting $$$ from a couple of manufacturers to keep their cars in rotation. It's the only explanation.

Just have given Race B a shot as I had an break from good old work.

If you compare it to the races, we have seen last week on the Red Bull Ring, this feels (for now) like wellness. There is some room for mistakes, you can use several lines without loosing to much pace.... Maybe I have this week a chance to get back to an normal SR rating, Spa and RBR have beaten me down from S to C.....

First race, qualified with an 2.04 with much room to improve and started on P10. To my personal surprise the lobby was quite disciplined and the first corners were smooth without accidents. At the end of the first lap I could climb to P6 and started the pursuit of the better positions. Put some pressure on the cars in front and they made some small mistakes so I could get to P4 in the last lap.

That Belgium guy on P3 (let`s call him B1) in the AMG GT3 lost traction at the exit of the last straight, so I and another Belgium dude (He´s called B2) in my draft could close the gap. Last three corner I overtake B1 and he was getting a bit furious, sticked his door into my left side in the last left turn and B2 was clever enough to go to my right side for the last right corner before the finishing straight.

There I was caught in the Belgium Mercedes sandwich with my Lexus and the gambling began.

B1 on my left wanted to avoid the barrier on the left, B2 wanted to go to wide to have traction and I wanted to go straight. Cause of my wider line I could accelerate faster out of the corner than B2 on my right, but I was not able to give B1 any room because of an Mercedes adjusting my passenger side mirror.

Unfortunately the barrier on the straight braked B1 efficent but rough to zero and I crossed the line with a few inches in front of B2.

To be honest, I am really suprised that I was not penaltized for this finish...

First day report from daily race B. Lost spots in every race, penalties seemingly everywhere, SR wrecked on main account. But at least I have a good reason. The wheel is helping me be smooth, but I still have to get atune to braking points (they seem to work better) & turn in (seems quicker). But, it didn't stop lower ranked drivers driving like complete morons.

But, I did get another example of not giving up until you cross the line.

Fully chromed cars are often a signal of what's to come

What aboot Canadian eh.

Actually since I'm an immigrant from Europe I use UK and US English which is the same here anyway with the Queen still being in charge sort of. Color and colour. I always spell kerbs but I should probably use curbs.

It's all confusing here in Canada. The metric and imperial system are used both, water temperature is in fahrenheit, air temperature in celcius, speed in kph, height in feet, distance in km, measurements in inches/feet, larger weights in pounds, smaller weights in grams / ounces, fuel in liters, water in gallons. Then it gets really confusing in the kitchen

First morning in a long time I have not turned on the ps4! Memories of Spa.

Bloody GT86 and BRZ again!!!! Seriously PD, what the hell?

No surprise. Race A is now a pass for me. I miss the times when daily races were more original and varied (before the switch to weekly races). The game felt fresh each time I opened it. Now I think "ugh, these 3 races all week..." unless it's a good week like last. Oh well, I can use the time I spend racing on other games.

Well I've been right through brand central and I know what my next two daily workout cars are going to be... the only two Gr.2 cars that I didn't have and have just bought. I'm going to give the '08 NSX a run and see how bad it is (or I am ;) :p ).

Erm, yeh...about that. I just came back from Race C and it wasn't pretty. Fuel as it turns out wasn't a problem... I was short shifting when I probably didn't need to, but tyres... I wasn't able to do a no stop on hards.

My race was a comedy of errors. I qualified on hards, and since DR/Ds seem to be afraid of fast race cars, they were scarce. P15/18 for me.

The race started off crap and just kinda went downhill from there. When auto drive let go it was mid corner. I had the wheels slightly turned ready, and as soon as it let go I went strait onto the kerb and spun :banghead:. We hadn't even crossed the start line .

I was circulating with short shifts and taller gears cause, Race C. The track seemed as slick as a greased pig on a honeymoon, so had to use a light touch, but that didn't stop the wheels from spinning, but I managed to hold it together for a while. Some people started to pit and I figured I would be right to gain some places. The hards just didn't last and I started coming off track or spinning out. Had to pit and in the end the race timed out with me in P16, having been lapped by 8 cars :nervous:. I managed 2 x 5s penalties, both from hitting walls.

SR Blue, DR dropped by a bit over 700.. all of last weeks points from Spa gone . I think I'll be doing Race B this week, there just won't be enough DR/Ds in Race C.

Hmmm, I should think mid 36 on c race would be pretty good. Did some laps and didn’t quite get there, little sloppy doppy. Lexus tcs 3 bb0 37.1 Autopolis...
After Spa, well, you know, having the new track was fantastic.
I’m kinda on a quest to use the non meta and run default tcs and bb0.

There's no strategy here tbh.

You don't have to use both compounds, fuel isn't an issue and the hard tyre offers no benefit over a stint as a consequence.

It's a straight up one stop (probably at the midpoint) on mediums.

Also, there is *always* at least 1 Japanese track.
For race A they could soon again use that small kyoto driving park + Miyabi to battle overly used Tsukuba.
I think there was never on weekly races the track Blue Moon Bay Speedway
Alsace and Saint-Croix rarrelly appear.

It's a shame because Alsace and Saint-Croix are great tracks.

I remember once quite a while ago...I don't remember which track it was but they used Group B cars and it was a blast. I was hoping that would be a semi regular thing but they never did it again.

There are so many potential great track and car combinations and they keep sticking us with the same crap. It's disappointing.

It's been over a year now, but BMB has been in the weeklies (187 races completed there) We've even had it in reverse, so pointless.

It was on more often when we still had dailies, always an SR disaster due to draft bumping SR Downs.

Blue moon bay infield A hasn't appeared in forever either. That's a fun track, much better than turnopolis.
