That's the FIA final in December, it takes place in Monaco right? I saw here the other day on GTP a list of the Nations/Manufacturers races, and what tracks they'll be at.....The end of December there's a TBA....A new track coming as a latish Xmas pressie it would appear! :D

They have one of the December races on the 25th, ho ho hoooo!

The FIA GT Final is on next weekend in Monaco. Haven't seen any official announcements about any new tracks that may be introduced at that event though.

Edit: Also, as seen with Spa-Francorchamps, it can take several months for a track to make it in-game after being used in an official event. So I would wait and see.

Which means that the next TBA track on the FIA Manu event (not sure if there's a TBA in Nations) is all of Tokyo Expressway layouts combined on rainy weather.

Sounds like a good description of Monaco.. I know I'll be avoiding it during the dailies... ya just know there will be pile ups at the hair pin and the chicane at the end of the tunnel at the very least :banghead:. That track is more Monza than Monza!

Race C... All those tiny to major bump,rear/side contact, and impose penalty to innocence is total farce. And by far most driver is total unworthly challenge. All they know is gas pedal not apex curve. Guess I go slower car race such as current Race A. Havent gone Race B yet but got time Q 1.59.xxx. But Im gonna stay away Race C.

2x Race B
P9 > P8 on the first, uneventful.
P10 > P7 for the second. Bit of tussle on the last lap as a crashed front runner catches up and brings a tail with him. Some argey bargey between the two of them and one goes off 3rd last corner but I'm spared and hold my position.

Blue S both races, net DR gain about 300.

My stituational awareness has improved a lot over the last three weeks and it's showing in the results. I'm not much (if any) faster, but I seem to be losing due to being mugged from behind a whole lot less.

Edit: Also worked out why a lot of cars seem more docile recently than I remember them from previously... DS4 R2 button crapping out, it hasn't quite been giving me full throttle a lot of the time. Swapped controllers and everything's back to as twitchy as I remember :banghead:

The twisty turny turmoil of Race B continues. Went in with the porsche this time. Beat my qualy time, which had me starting lower down the list than my last slower race. More DR/Cs I guess. Started P8/16.

So another crap start... wheels turned when Auto drive let go. I managed to make T1 this time. I was doing okish at times, but my propensity to chuck it into the corner meant that I kept loosing time... and position, from sideways action instead of forward action . I managed a 0.5s penalty, which meant I was driven through. In the end I finished P9.

SR blue, the death from a thousand cuts continues.. DR down 23. Another day above DR 1 .

Attempt 3. This morning I was matched into a sea of green and yellow. Only 2 racers from north of the equator. To make matters worse I got tangled up t1 and came out lap 1 sitting last.
Rather than quit I went with the old fortune sometimes favors the foolish deal and pressed on through. I no stopped it to podium.
Lobby wasn’t the strongest though.

Every time I try race B I lose a 1000 DR lol. Last time actually 2500 DR since I dropped back down to DR.B. I'm up to 2:03 lap times now and managed to get to the finish before the timer ran out, not in last place! My clean streak is building but with one race a day before losing interest again, people are getting much faster than me getting back to grips with the track. Got to put the effort in, but the track is so meh.

Meanwhile I did the Tokyo south inner loop endurance race, love that track! I got excited for a second when I saw Tokyo south for Fia but it was the wrong, boring version without the docks / containers. Too bad the AI is so slow, with the detuned Porsche doing a 2 stop, still almost lapped the entire field. That track has such nice flow. It has only been featured once in the weeklies :(

Guess I'll be looking for races I missed in GT League again today. The AI is not much better in custom race btw. Who programmed that lapped cars suddenly get the speed boost after you lap them so they start pushing to pass you again, to then slow down again because they get the blue flag :banghead: Also why are the offline physics so weird. The AI seems to be on rails, no satisfaction in a good punt. (But using them as guard rails works way too well)

Wow, first race was poo. Saw @Mc_Yavel and was hoping for a nice race. Didn't happen, i was on pole ad left lots of room i thought for t1, kept way outside. Watched 3 or 4 blue triangles chainreaction into me anyway. Since i saw it coming i was able to keep the car under me and get back to speed only in 4th. Then i see it, a 5 second penalty, for being hit off the track. I almost quit the race, but kept at it and got back up to 6 from 10.

Also, always fun to watch someone call someone dirty that you know is not....

Interesting start to the day.... race 2 now

Well that was a bit better and a bit worse. Good clean battle to start with a trusted opponent for top spot. Then one of the clowns from yesterdays first race forces me wide last turn and i almost spin. Got back past him and he clearly hit me at least 2 more times. Not hard, but hard enough... after the race i asked "what are you doing out there" he said "fighting a canadian war" as he was behind myself and yavel. He then said i was wrong and it was yavel who had been bumping me. I guess he doesn't know the we have had like a hundred races together. Also all three of us had red sr, his was down to B yavel and i still S

Third race was the kind that makes you forget about the other two. Three star win and good clean competition. Short break, back for more later.

Oh and, happy friday folks :gtpflag:

Did a few Race B's on the EMEA server last night from 6.30pm Mountain time, so 1.30am UK time. Finally did a qualifying time of 4:23.426, just to ensure I start as close to the back as possible; 15th & 16th. Race pace was anywhere from 2:03 to a better 2:00.

EMEA is just so much more competitive, IMO, than the NA server. Can be just as dirty, but generally people wanna race and not bash.

Anyway, results were favourable with finishing spots ranging from 5th to 8th, and got as high as 5 CRB's. Going for the 6th CRB and 4 corners from the finish line, some bell tries to drive through me coming out of the corner. Orange arrow, #6 CRB gone.

The 5 CRB's did get me from 77 to 99 SR. Started the week at 48, so Race B has been very kind, and cleaner than I imagined.

Started the week with the Genesis, but finishing with the better handling EVO.

I want to mention that I did some fairly extensive testing of the Nissan group C I was recently gifted.
It has a very raw dark livery. A perfect match for the cars character. It’s @sturk0167 again! Thanks!
Initial testing was a lot like this...
I could picture the artist/livery designer as Roman...

After an hour or so the JGirard in me kicked in and it was like...I had a bit of control. Not at the limit, but managed to tame the beast some...

Next week will be Le Mans...fingers crossed...

To the artiste...(it really is Sturk btw)

Cheers

Today was another good day at Maggiore. 4/4 lights-to-flag victories, I've got a clean race streak of 9 going

Took a bit more than it should have, though. Servers kept dying on me and disconnecting me during matchmaking. Thanks @sturk0167. :dunce:

Edit: Next week announced!

Race A: N100 @ Yamagiwa II, 3 laps, SH

Race B: Gr.4 @ Bathurst, 3 laps, RH

Something weird is going on with the next races. Race C is listed as N200 @ Tsukuba, 5 laps, SH, which is a typical A race. This is followed by a race with no label, which is Gr.3 @ RBR, 5 laps, RH. Looks like a B race. And it gets weirder; both of those races will only run from 7am to midnight GMT on November 25th. There's no actual C race in sight :odd:

Race C for next week actually starts the week after.

That's pretty odd. I don't believe I've seen that before.

Apparently I misunderstood what I read. :dopey:
The event will physically occur in the country of Monaco, rather than racing on the Monaco track. Oops.
It's a good thing. That track in Sport Mode would be horrifically disastrous. :scared:

It would be glorious! Bus stops, walls, blind corners, nasty pit entrance. Added challenge, cone launch a car into the pool!

Next week some Bathurst racing. GR.4 though, meh. 3 laps triple meh. I wonder what race C will be.

It seems the week after has Tsukaba N200 and RBR GR.3 as A and B. No rain, no interest.
