Thank you, strange restriction....Is this requirement anywhere discribed? Two stints with medium tires are not allowed for example??Racing Hards are required.

It’s in “Race Details” on the right of the main race screen before you click “Race Entry” under Required Tires. You only need to do one lap on the mandatory tires though, and sometimes you can get away with only using them on the back. But that seems to have been removed as an option lately.
Edit: This is from GT Sport website.

Thanks!
In my german version of GTS is no mandatory tire, just minimum. tire :racing hard and maximum tire: racing medium.
A little bad description in my opinion so it was a misunderstanding in my part.
You fast guys with your 29's! Sometimes I feel like I'm just getting slower, but I know everybody else is just getting faster. I can't figure out where to go faster to get anywhere even close to 29's with this combo. Of course, the answer is...everywhere. I think my biggest issue is R130 (?) (T2) I've watched top replays, and even if I seem to get the turn in point, and speed right, I can't keep in in bounds without going slower. Oh well, maybe I'll spend some time hot lapping the A combo and try to dip into the 22's. My (best) optimum was a 22.8 and every good lap I've had has also had some pretty big errors, so there's room.Very eventful night in race C.
Jumped straight in, qualified 2nd and battled in the top 3 for the first few laps. Unfortunately, heading into the right hairpin I had a huge lockup and had to ditch it.

Lost heaps of time, ruined my tires trying to get back on track and dropped right down to 17th. Car was undriveable so I ducked into the pits for hards on lap 4.
Got back out there and went on a bit of a hunt. Worked up into 8th a bit behind a pack of 3. Pushed hard on worn tires, then, coming into the very last corner, I saw a rare opportunity and I went for it!

Unfortunately the draft got the last laugh and a couple of them made it back by. Was a close finish though and the best race for 7th I’ve had

I then went away, spent some time in qualifying and out of nowhere set a 1.29.428. Half a second better then my previous best and 10th in Asia
Jumped into the next race, started pole and 2nd stayed within a second the entire race. Was a real battle and a hard earned 8th ever victory!

My fiancé has her hens night on Saturday so I’m gonna give this race a total hammering. I think I’m more excited for the weekend then she is![]()
This week in Brazil has made me completely change my settings in race. I have gone from BB -2 to BB 0 and sometimes +1. Turns in better, much better. The Karnival of Kaos kontinues. A couple of nights ago I got a BC&S done and headed off to Brazil. It was crap. I qualified with the Supra, had a hard time setting a decent time, started P11/15, locked up and got sideways in a cloud of smoke at one of the slow corners (I posted a matching pic with a BMW some time back.. same corners, same screw up). Dropped back to P15. Manageed to struggle to a P12 finish. SR back to 99, DR dropped 450. I was less than happy.
Tonight, I went in with the '17 lexus (I've never tried the '16). Improved my time by a couple of seconds, which was a few tenths slower than my fastest time set with the Beetle a month ago. I started P3/16. Happy with that.
Race starts, and off we go. T1 was a bit of a pain because the Porsche in front of me decided to be a road block so I couldn't mash the loud pedal on the exit like I was all lined up for. A bit further up I was passing him on the inside and instead of giving me room, he decided he wanted to trade paint. I wasn't impressed. That slowed me down to allow a bunch of other cars to catch up.
There was a Beetle up my arse shortly after, which gave me a king hit at the same corner I locked up on a couple of days ago. I ended up sideways and off the track. By the time I got going again I had dropped a few places. After that I just could not get the car to turn the way it had been, more places lost as I crawled around the outside of corners because it just wouldn't turn 🤬 in. This continued for most of the rest of the race.. this was more than just dirty tyres, it was almost like damage was on
.
I managed to claw my way back to P7, but it was a struggle. Watching the replay, I saw the Porsche that gave me trouble trading paint several times with the Beetle that hit me. The profile of the Beetle driver suggested that the hit wasn't deliberate, but the down side with Kudos is that it only looks at the collective races, not individual races, so you don't know if someone has driven dirty, then did some clean races to get SR back up then more dirty driving in a day.
SR blue, DR went up 200. Another day above DR 1.

There's a project for somebody. Where the optimal shift point is for gr 3 & 4 cars. I know the Veyron needs to be short shifted. The Ford GT and the Vette used to, but I think one of the updates changed the shift point, and on the Ford maybe all the way up to the flashing bar point. The gr3 Vette seems to be about equal from 1/4 bar to 3/4 bar. I've been shifting the Jag at about 7/8. If I go to flashing, it seems to slow. I usually watch the spedo and how fast it climbs pre and post shift. If it climbs faster post shift, I shift earlier.-4 seems to be the sweet spot for me. Also short shifting in the Supra is a must. I shift when the bar reaches the suggested gear indicator in bumper cam.

MR cars are a different breed... You need to have a small amount of gas on at all times. I usually use brakes and gas at the same time with those, but I am a far way from competitive in any MR. Slightly better in the Mclaren 650 but not even in that.It was turning in just fine till I was punted. I did a few practice laps with the '16. Was similar times, seemed a bit more nimble. Also tried the NSX since I'll be using it for @Kuraudo 's Hat Tric Series. Erm, I think it's going to be a very long race. Off throttle pirouettes seemed to be the order of the day. When I was able to set consistant times, it was similar to the Supra... 2s slower than the Lexus. Think I'll run the 'vette tomorrow. I was 0.003s off my Lexus time and I know there's more to be had.
That's a good place for testing. I used it to compare BRZ and 86.You can use SSRX to test shift points, do a standing start and clock how long it takes to get to the end of Sector 1 when shifting at different points.![]()

I will post a top 10 time in my region at least once, even If I have to do it at 1:00 AM on Monday!
@Rexracer702, I always use the in cockpit shift lights on the gr3/4. Even if you think cockpit view is stupid, you can switch to check...and relate to the r v bar. I have always shifted the vette one or two yellow bars from cockpit, if you even see the red light it’s slower.
I’m like you though, seat of pants deal. It Makes a big difference definitely. Maybe custom race grid start route x? Is that the best test method? Never thought of that.. I think it’ll be oval bop though...maybe that doesn’t matter...
I’ve also done a slow roll flooring it at Mt Panorama up Mountain Straight, and just checking top speed at braking point...I’ve had good luck with the in cockpit shift lights, may not be to the thousandth, but they’ve been close in terms of best for me. I think uphill downhill does have a small effect also...
Usually you don’t wanna see red on those...
I like this must try in my Merc ... lol.
A bit off the topic I love racing in cockpit view no matter my disadvantages as long as I am clean & fair. I wish all cars had a cockpit view.

Glad to see someone else is enjoying Fuji. I sti find the back half just evil, but the first half is a fun flowing setup. Despite my grumbling I would say about half my races have been good there with some fun and challenging battles. Had a real back and forth over 3 races with one Thai driver last night. They got me twiceWell having said previously i wasn't fussed about this weeks combo's, i have just had one of my most fun races at Fuji.
Start 19th on a 1:33, and apart from 18th place everyone else is on a 1:31 something.
Turn 1, i play it safe, brake early and cruise round the outside with a good exit. Up to 12th with chaos on the inside. Make another pass during the lap, and then p10 gets a corner cut penalty, so i get p10 by end of lap 1.
Then keep it clean and consistent with all laps in the 1:34's, picking off a few more places along the way. Get to 3rd by lap 8 with a 5 second gap to a big group and decide to stay out rather than pit and come out in traffic. Car gets slippery by lap 11, lap 12 i let 2nd place back past after he pits but lose a couple seconds, and manage to hold off 4th place at a 1 second gap for the last lap and a half to finish 3rd.
Sadly, the game gave me a #2 on my door, so i got bugger all DR!![]()
I have been starting on hards and pitting on lap 7 or 8. When I went mediums first I really struggled in the back half, but I am not that good at saving tires. What tyres are you guys putting on first for race C? Mediums or hards?
Im going mediums if I’m starting in the top 6-7 and hards if I’m further back. Try and get away if near the front. If near the back let the mid pack “sort” itself out then try to hunt places down for the last 5 laps. What tyres are you guys putting on first for race C? Mediums or hards?
Edit: and why?
