A freshly ahhh, “serviced” wife is much more likely to be ok with you going to do some racing. ;)
Calm down guys, he's talking about taking the trash out!

Speaking of trash, people in Race C are slowly learning. Have to look at the positives.
They now just punt me often, not completely off!

Also, the average Lexus RC F count has increased from 1 to 8

Thats right, just did 2 races C and in both was killed in 1st lap, then all race clean...
Edit: third time killed in 1st lap... Now just waiting in pitlane to race is over... Same spanish as race before, I must thank him after race;)

Still have not seen a Lexus win it, however - over 5 races C today at DR B/A.

It's good for starting 15th+ and watching others fail, though.

Every day I'm amazed again by how stupid people are.
Not the failing part, nothing wrong if you spin. Don't get me wrong.
Just an overall inability to recognize what racing is.
Saved 3 replays, could fill a 15min video with idiots doing idiotic things.

Yeah, people are being real pushy on the first lap there. People don't seem to realize it is a huge logjam on lap 1. I have had to get the elbows out to do some serious blocking on lap 1 most race Cs as the back up causes people I don't know or trust to try to send it in some real crappy places.

@Skipflap just keep going back. I have had some races lapping at the back of the A+ crowd, then I get a solid B race where I cam really compete. Random matchmaking for the win.

Although now that I wrenched my wrist taking my kid out mountain biking so got to see if I'll be able to sort it out enough to do some more racing this weekend. :grumpy::grumpy:

From yesterday, I was up to P5 by the hairpin on lap 1, people where just shooting off the track everywhere! :)

Yeah, I just watched (some of) it. Nice line on degrading tires!
Can obviously learn something. I'm way too cautious (aka granny) in the final part.

I just did a 20:36 from P18, so I could have won that one too :sly: Second place is exactly at 20:36.

Are you racing under german flag? I check replay - Yeah thats right "DoctorNuu"
I hope I didnt do anything idiotic;)

Sure, I saw a couple of faces like yours in the mirror.:sly:

Unrelated: It's just sad that one is at the mercy of these controller-kids in DR B.
I'm just not good enough to beat their TCS exits. And their punts.

I did an other daily C today and it was like last time, quite uneventful apart that I finally did a good pace overall in the nsx. My total time was a 19:52. (Also I'm tired of gaining less than a 100 dr per race for a daily c race lol)

Seriously? First World DR A problems! So boring if nobody can catch and punt you.

"In the mirror"? Strange mirrors you have if you can see whats ahead of you in them... Or maybe you were driving on reverse?

I am not a quick player (currently C rated and probably only a matter of time before I head back to D!) using a wheel. Is it just me being slow or do players on a controller have an advantage given to them by the game?

Last night following drivers through the a number of corners on the group C race I was surprised they stayed on the track given the speed and twitchiness of their racing lines. Not complaining because I want races where I am at a similar speed to other drivers.

In GranTurismo you can be competitive on a controller, but I wouldn't say the game give controllers an advantage.

My personal experience is I'm faster on a wheel then I was on a controller, you can be more consistent with your lines and that ultimately can make you faster.

Man, some people are unbelieveble... Was doing C, I tapped some german guy that he spins, I stopped and waited for him, also got 1s penalty... When we were just before penalty zone he lifted and turn on me so I go off track... After race I asked him why? He said: I dont trust you... And I thinking whats in his mind? If I were dirty I wouldnt stop and wait for him... Of course it was my fault, but why?

There are car/track combos where the controller with AT and TCS is quite hard to beat.

I very much respect these guys for their dexterity.
No wonder, if you have seen what some guys can do with RC cars where everything happens >3x as fast.
Unfortunately a big portion of them has no racecraft. They treat you as AIs and just drive into every gap that presents itself.

And then there is the entitlement/revenge rammers as you describe. You do something by accident and they feel you deserve to be hit back. It's just sad sometimes.

Some of the fastest people I know in GTS are on a ds4, with no TCS and MT. Others are on a wheel, with no TCS and MT. There there is people on wheel and ds4 with TCS on and AT,and vice versa.
None of that is a key to win. They are all just different control methods. Ultimately the wheel probably is the fastest because if you go on a WT you have no choice but wheel.
But for all of us that never will go to WT is just preferences.
If you feel others are faster than you with TCS on then turn on TCS. If it doesn't hinder you it is a tool. Real life GT3 has it.

Don't underestimate controller players, there's a few in the world top 50. I regularly race one who races hard but clean on controller in chase view.
I don't.

It's just that they usually don't respect my line at all at DR B. Squeezing into every gap.

@darth_tails : Looks like a good week for getting into TTs

I don't think this is exclusive to ds4 players, but with the latest influx of new, inexperienced players it's naturally a higher percentage of controller players. The majority of wheel players have been here long enough to know how to drive. However, there are dirty wheel players too

The main reason for trouble is their more "digital" driving style of full throttle, full brake combined with impatience and a more direct/straight line into the corner.
It's always the same pattern: I take a wide, smooth entry, not expecting a dive from 0.5sec back. They head straight into the gap. I wonder what their thinking is. Do they think I make a mistake by going wide? Do they just think this is the way to overtake?

Can confirm the Lexus is probably the car to drive for race c after spinning off two races in a row with the nsx. I got a win yesterday with it and finished second to another guy using it also. Very forgiving for the race, tire wear and traction are not issues. Even managed to shave a few tenths off my nsx time with the Lexus, down to a 1:37.6xx, very nice car to drive.
