17th to 4th. Would have been 2nd if I didn't get nudged and pushed off track 5 times. Oh well. Leader won by 40 seconds.

Just had a few runs on race C with my NA alt. Talk about a total idiot on track. It was me! Couldn't get through Ascari to save my life. No matter how good I was driving I kept throwing it away there. Then halfway through my last race I wondered why I was in 3rd instead of 4th? :banghead::dunce::dunce:
I had spent all races slamming through in the wrong gear for what I was doing.
Oh well. Live and learn. At least I didnt take anyone else out although me spinning off the exit might have scared them a bit.:scared:

Race C. Started next to last to 4th to 13th to 10th to 7th. That was in two laps. The rest of the race was me bump drafting another Aussie flag with all other Japanese flags ahead and behind.

At the end, that player says, "If you were trying to help, Thank you.".

Race B. Started 11th in the M6 M Power. Freakin' RCZ that started 15th, using a sneak bump tactic at T5 hairpin. As I'm at the apex, bumps me, I go wide and sneaks up the inside, riding my passengerside door. SO, I don't go crazy, but we go around next lap. As we're getting to the end of the lap at the uphill before the underpass, it goes wide at the douple right. I go up the inside, but stay on the accelrator to give me understeer and as the RCZ is turning down, it bumps into me, slowing it down.

It catches back up to the same hairpin. Does it again! THIS time, I ride the brakes. So, I'm not going too wide. It bumps me the second time and it didn't work because it nearly comes to a halt. While its accelerating, it goes into a spin. The car behind, bumps it outta there into the grass. The RCZ quits. What a punk. I finish that race in 8th.

Well race b has been very kind to me this week. Started the week in low B lobbies, and was able to consistently land a podium.

once I qualified in the 46’s it was even better! Prolly ran 10-15 races getting podium and clean races for the most part, and my first win in awhile.

A lot of great n clean racing upfront, and made some new “friends”. People who raced hard n clean with me, with some props in end game chat, really helping to encourage more clean racing when we meet again!

Had one of my best races right on p1s butt for every lap, looking for a chance at every corner, with patience. Got side by side in t1 last lap, and tried to take the inside, leading to some contact. But we both made it out the corner ahead of p3, and I slowed to let him back in p1 cause I was alittle overly aggressive. Amazing race by him, and p3 right behind!

prolly only 2 none clean races. One wreck that was my fault, didn’t know where to go in traffic on second hairpin. Felt bad... the guy wait for me after, and got taken out hard ;(

Now I’ve landed into the highest DR I’ve had I think, and had two good races in these lobbies, even starting p10ish in this tier.

Goodluck, and thanks for the races!! Hope I can hang here and keep fighting for that A DR!

I actually did some practice this morning for the next race C... shock horror! I found the supra pretty good, Ferrari not too bad, not sure what the tyres will be like at the end but the multiplier isnt high

I always go into Ascari in 3rd, then come out with a fast exit speed.

Does anyone know if race length has an effect on DR gained? I know SR is dependent on race length (due to being able to get more clean - or dirty - sectors in a longer race), but is DR the same way?

SR is governed by race lenth, DR is governed by size of field and DR scores of other drivers relative to yours. A large field or a field full of higher rated drivers has more potential for gain than a small field or a field of low rated drivers.

Edit: Of course the same thing applies for DR loss. If you finish badly in a small grid you'll lose less DR than finishing badly in a big grid.

I took a peak at next week's races, don't get it.

Race A N300 3 laps Tokyo South inner loop 3 x 6.56 km = 19.7 km, decent length for N300 I guess
Race B GR.3 3 laps Mount Panorama 3 x 6.21 km = 18.6 km, wth? That's a 6 minute 'race' ...
Race C GR.4 10 laps Sardegna A 10 x 5.11 km = 51.1 km, 2.75 times as long as race B with slower cars.

3 lap sprint race at Mount Panorama, no thanks.
GR.4 at Sardegna, I'll pass.
If PD somehow got the rain working for race A I'll boot up GTS again. Otherwise my hiatus continues.

Haven't exactly nailed down East Coast yet. but when I hit a sweet spot I try to fit in at least 2 or 3 good races.

Early morning is the only sweet spot left. 8 am to 11 am EST was still relatively decent. And then after 11 pm EST. Or maybe now it's 1 AM EST, kids are going to bed later and later without school.

So let's go, any guesses for race A car? Thinking likely to be 1981 911, greddy Fugu or one of the Imprezas. But I am probably way off. Where is the super bee or the Pantera?

They have a great selection there to throw us some curve balls. Even the crown athlete and the supra street cars.

How about the Plymouth XNR.... also probably way off and I'm not even sure it's the right class. It would be a pleasant change though.

I decided to hold off on doing this week's Dailies until after Saturday's FIA races, and boy am I glad I did! I ended up getting a DR reset from being at the top of A/almost A+ to the bottom of DR B, all because of 1 race at Monza. It's a shame, because even with the complete chaos, I had a lot of fun driving from the back of the grid (I didn't set a qualifying time). I did over 20 races at Monza, and managed to win 3, with all of my wins coming from 17th place on the grid (including 2 races where that was the last starting spot).

Because I wanted to avoid being taken out at the start of the race, I avoided setting a qualifying time for Race C until I knew I was done with it for the week, but when I finally set a time, it was good enough to put me in a tie for 45th in the Americas.

Looks like I'll be racing the Dailies this week as well even though I don't like any of them. My DR is at 26k and I need to get it back to at least 40k before Saturday...

Morning! I dont know how are you guys, but Im happy with Panorama is back. It could be race C with some strategy but still its better than some Tokyo or Alsace... About racing. Yesterday I spend couple of hours to build my SR back, got few poles and wins during the process so happy end:)
Edit: also got 6 CRB in a row

Race A is '89 Nissan Z, '07 Nissan Z or Greddy Fugu Z. Interesting choice :D

Managed a couple more races at Monza yesterday, first one went badly, 1s penalty from the chicane, and then getting a huge punt at parabolica left me in 18th, and managed to get back up to 13th by the end. Had one driver following me down to parabolica in the middle of the race, and got the feeling he was going to punt me, I went with the standard racing line, turned in, but then eased off the turn, sure enough he went flying across in front of me exactly where I would have been, and then way off the track, very satisfying!!

Second race I avoided the chicane penalty, and found myself up in 9th, had some great racing all the way through, even side by side to the line as the driver behind took parabolica much better than me and was coming past, less than a tenth in it at the line, but I held on for 5th place, one of those races that reminds you why you keep coming back to sport mode!! SR back to 99 after a dip in the week, and DR over 20k for the first time ever!

Excited for Gr.4 this week, hopefully the new BoP adjustments should have taken the edge off the FFs, looking forward to some good racing!

Back to B/S as well after two days in purgatory. Mt. Panaroma looks like another SR hell, so will probably stick with race C. RCZ still seems to dominate for me - even with last week's BoP adjustment. Will play around with some others tomorrow to see if I can find something that runs similar times with less squeal given tire wear is activated.

I'll never use cockpit in this car.:yuck: Was good though. Tyres were perfect for 8 laps. Barely a red line on the fronts and no wear on the rear. They fell off a cliff last lap. Slophy next.

Edit: If you can dispatch players quickly, it's super fast everywhere but the front straight(without a tow). However, with others on worn tyres, it's corner exit speed is the one-hitter-quitter.

Edit2: French cars done. Megane still feels like it has a V8 under the hood. Excellent mid-range and top end power. Never struggles.
Got up to 2nd Lap 9. Hand was getting numb and not enough feel in my finger braking for Stop Sign Hairpin. RAn sidebyside with the NSX to the Bell Tower. Sidebyside with the WRX after the PZ.
Best run from the back with fastest drivers. Done for the night.

Time penalties in race A are almost all identical. I had a 1 sec penalty for a turn 1 pile up and person behind me had 4.5 seconds. They only dropped back about 0.7 by the time it was served. Going to eat SR for snacks

Edit: they are also Tokyo erratic. I barely brush the wall in the wrong spot, 1.5. Guy ahead power slams the wall twice, nothing.
