Nice photo! Shared in game? I have not been racing well, but the competition has been clean and i am really happy i started racing. That was my first race that you were in. I am getting better at my consistency and not messing up, but am getting faster and faster rooms
Yup photo shared. Your livery was too pretty not to take a shot of.

That was a good grid. I had a few laps of back and forth with the Argentinian driver who started 3rd as well as a few others. Some mistakes were made but everybody seemed to own up to it and worked together as much as possible. You and #1 were considerably faster though, like 5 seconds, so I feel the rest of us were just happy to keep up.

Second Daily C run of the week for the 'Vitessa V'.

Shaved nearly six tenths off my qualifying time (3:06.395) to start 13th in my 17:30 slot, again in a DR A/A+ lobby but this time with a 962C and 787B thrown into the mix. Been gradually gaining confidence in the R92CP in time trials, and this carried through into the race on brake balance +1. Started cleanly and gained one place at Mulsanne Corner on the first lap when a German Calsonic car ran too deep. Lost said position after sensing the German going up the inside at Indianapolis, and another when I pitched sideways over the outside kerb. Ended up collecting the German Calsonic car in the process, which held us up and brought an Italian Nissan into the mix. Lap 2 saw a line of 4-5 cars forming a queue for 8th place, which I gradually caught up with and followed closely for a while. 8th place broke away, but the Dutch and first German driver went wide at the first Ford chicanes, each picking up track limits penalties. In tip-toeing around the chicanes, I give way to another Italian in a pink Nismo Advan Koito car, and again at Dunlop for a French West car fighting back from three seconds' worth of contact penalties.

Penalties ensured I would climb back up to 14th and continue to shadow the train for what was now 9th. The French 962C was gaining fast, but any pressure from him or the recovering first German was nullified when they both came together at Indianapolis. At Arnage, the British Calsonic car loses it and gets ghosted; the French West car picks up a 1-second penalty for being hit and another as he starts getting aggressive with a GTR-style R92CP. By this point, we're up to 12th, and the blue Calsonic car might give us another as he fumbles through the Ford chicanes. On exit, he lights up the rears and veers into my path; the West and British cars fly back past to continue their scrap. Almost ended up in disaster as the West car abruptly cut me off as I tried to get the slipstream on both of them down Mulsanne Straight; needless to say, they touched and lost momentum as the blue Calsonic car gives me a sudden, but welcome push on the outside apron.

Up into 11th now, and a further punt from the West car on the British Calsonic driver gives me enough of a cushion to pull away from the fighting. Next, the ghost of a Dutch car appears in view on the run into Arnage, and I brake earlier to give him the space he needs. The Dutchman looked fairly shaky, as I could tell from the way he scraped the Armco going into Mulsanne Straight, and the slipstream gave me an opportunity to try and make a pass for 10th. Having set purple first and second sectors and stuck close to his rear endplates, I get a better exit out of Mulsanne Corner and make the pass stick before Indianapolis. A Ford chicane respawn and 1.5-second penalty for another British Calsonic entry promoted me up to 9th.

A little disappointed to find that I lost another 293 DR points through this race (then again, this was a mostly A-ranked lobby), but very pleased with my pace in this one. Set a 3:05.560 just before entering matchmaking, which while too late to affect my starting position here could very well come in handy later on...

Ok ok thanks , so which tracks are most eazy or most safe ? I liked red bull ring couple weeks back.

If you are on a 33.3 you are not far off my pace (32.7). First question, what car are you using? I think the Viper is worth about 3 to 4 tenths and my preferred weapon is the Aston Vantage but my best optimal time is with the Viper.

For sectors, you need to be mid 23's in sector 1, low 23's sector 3 ........ it's sector 2 where sneaky loss of time happens as it is very complex. The exit out of the left hander after back straight is critical (start of sector 2), get this wrong and you lose a SOLID half second, need to get on the gas really, really early.

I am losing 3 tenths on the left hander before the final turn. I cannot get through there flat whilst other high B and low A drivers do and I get gobbled up entering that last corner.

Speaking of which, man in S races I am seeing some very good drivers but almost always ruined by one or two clowns that try to pass in impossible places. They really do cause mayhem as qualy times and pace are so close.

Yes, you saw that right. After watching a little bit of @Tidgney's stream, I decided to have another go at Daily Cs in the 21:00 slot, just to see whether I could get matched up with him. And what do you know?

Started 8th with the time I set before the 17:30, then saw the Finnish driver starting in 4th mysteriously pull off to the side before the start line. Made a better exit from the second Ford chicane than the Dutchman in front, allowing me to pull up to 6th before we even reached Dunlop. Was lucky to avoid the Dutchman as he got punted through the apex by the R390-style car further back; unfortunately for him, he then lit up the tyres and shot off to the right before the bridge. Had a minor issue when the 'R390' behind tried to get past through the esses; I was on the inside, but had to back out when we made slight contact. Got back up into sick-th via the power of slipstream and a 1-second penalty for the 'R390' down Mulsanne.

Gained another place when Antomix (3rd place, Calsonic R92CP) bottled it at Indianapolis, then saw a Castrol-liveried car spear off into the barriers at the Porsche Curves. I was up to 4th before the first lap had even been completed! Despite feeling tired and a little sloppy in places, I hung in there until the end. There were times where my tentativeness allowed the British and Ukrainian drivers behind to get closer, but then again, I was more focused on keeping the 'Vitessa V' on the road and within boundaries. Eventually, the gap between myself and the cars behind grew to between 4-5 seconds, and I crossed the line penalty-free despite outbraking myself on my final run through the first Ford chicane.

Thank you so much Tidgney for the tips and advice in this week's Daily guides. Feel like I'm learning a lot from them, especially with the 4th gear trick through the Porsche Curves. Best result of the week so far; I think it'll take something extra special for me to top that at DR 56K. :gtpflag:

In race A
Here's me getting a track limit penalty, and then me not getting a penalty on the following lap.

I'm not certain, but I don't believe it had anything to do with the inside curb. At this point, my best guess is that when the outside curb ended, I still had my right-side tires on it.
Does anybody know for sure? @Sven Jurgens ?

And by the way, doesn't it seem pretty lazy of the developers not to provide detailed track limit diagrams for each track?
Them: "We're not gonna tell you the rules, but be sure not to break them".

Had it a few times where I have not got penalties and got penalties going over the same corner on different laps and I definitely went on the grass :D

@VulcanSpirit I will think the Castrol colored car was in my livery.
I am starting to think it must be jinxed. That and my JPS livery for the R92CP has been on the pole car of my last four races and every time they have spun off...

@sturk0167 I was very happy to see you in my race tonight, I moved up 4 spots but you moved up 14! That's seriously fast!
Hope we see each other soon again!

Good job! The cars you passed were probably a lot faster than the ones I passed.

Yes, you can really savagely cut the inside so long as you stay on the kerb, but don't go four wheels past the white line on the outside.
If only it was that simple ! On the exit you can go over the white line with all 4 tyres as long as you keep 2 on the kerb, then the kerb finishes half way around the corner, if you're not back inside the white line by that transition you get pinged with a penalty. No wonder it's a mess, the rules are different from one metre of track to the next.

Haha competitors, the jokes on you. B race points to me still 99 despite your efforts to kill me!
B race right now on NA is a COMPLETE

I :::::might:::: try a C but after what I just went through I dunno.
At some point this week, it would be nice if we could team up at LeMans. Also, it would be cool if we did a voice chat, so we can plot and scheme during the race. 👍

Sure! Gardens was so fun last time!
The only negative is I gotta use the little mic, my headphone wireless mic hasn’t ever worked right.
But heck yeah hit me up! I’d be down rn really...

What time will you be available, tomorrow? I'll need to make sure my SR is in the 90s beforehand.

Just pm when you’re above 90. No work right now :( Seems like the way races are right now it might be good to have backup. 45k to Aplus 99 room the fricken guy top 20 on the server got bombed turn one. I was punted and bombed several times, I mean you KNOW how bad I’ve seen it but this one today, I’m taking their points off the table and not returning them.
Interlagos is like that though. When a crew of idiots is in there you just gotta try again later...
You should checkout that replay if you get time.

I’ll be doing some Race C’s tomorrow night too, hopefully I’ll see you guys out there.

@NevilleNobody
Have you tried the VW gr3? VGT? I’m curious what other input methods find.
Has excellent power...The one with no roof...

Gave it a whirl. Solid 3 to 4 kph slower than aston or viper across start line, good cornering but too sketchy on exit. Also struggling with take balance, gonfeont and I lock up, push it rearward and she switches around. 1 second off my best time.

there is a certain chess game to play when you are managing how that draft impacts your race... I've considered letting a guy pass as I get onto the Mulsanne straight, because you may want to be behind and then draft into a pass, rather than being passed. Would be helpful to team up!

I took your Aston out for some laps. I like it! Within a tenth or two of my best time.
I might have to give the competition a taste of some British muscle!

Tried a few rounds of Race C in the Porsche, enjoyed it a lot!

1st race-Not great and caught a punt lap 1. Disconnected on last lap, close to end p14 I think. Drats!

2nd race-Fun! Saw some buds out there, slippery 1st lap. Chased P7 from lap 1 on. Few chances to fight, but I played safe, I bombed him a little on one corner by accident, but let go.

Last lap starts with me on his bumper suddenly and I now start racing. Just a clean smooth battle! He defended well and I wasn’t poking too much, and it was close. P8 catches us and stay tight n clean.

Near the end I got too brave on the brakes, and came very close to punting him, so I threw myself at the wall last second! Lol Lost both spots but great fun!

Just cool to push with one person for 4 long laps, and then duke it out at the end!

Slowly getting more consistent, but not enough to get much braver than this, and still hold steady.

Raced C from the back a few times today. First race had @sturk0167 and @RacingGrandpa . Sturk was right behind me, until I got punted in the second corner. First of 3 in that race. It's been an SR drain for me, though I'm still hanging on to B on my alt. Got my first win of the week from 15th driving the 92. Probably my best race so far. Thought it was pretty clean, but still ended with a red B. Had (2) .5 second penalties, one in the Mulsanne corner. Still don't really know what I'm doing to get that one. Got a 2 second on the first lap when I got hit by a guy that blew the first chicane and hit me when he came back on track. Other than that, I was going well. Did 3 3:10.1 laps, which seems to be a good race lap for me. Maybe I'll race with the big boys in A/S tomorrow and see how I do. Might have to try some other cars. The Mazda looks to go well, and is suprisingly hard to catch on the straight, even with the 92. Maybe it does better in the draft? I did notice that the 92 doesn't gain much drafting. Must be rpm limited I guess.

Wow, just did a few qualifying laps on race C, mmmmmm that's fast, don't think I have been on that track before and it's only the second time I have been in the Mclaren VGT, think I will give racing a miss for now, need a bit more experiance with Gr 1's, but good luck to all you guys that do. :)
