Since tyre wear is not an issue, just slam BB all the way to the front to avoid oversteer.

Yep, front BB was the first setting I changed. Mitigated it to an extent but I still had trouble with oversteer in places. It's racing on a knife's edge, you don't know when it will flip out and kill you at the next corner. I appreciate those who like that kind of racing but me personally, it isn't very fun and I would had preferred the Evo instead. Too bad, love the track, hate the car.

Says the one with the creepy avatar :lol: Studio Ghibli is awesome, Hayao Miyazaki is my idol.

However would it be more or less creepy to put him on all my cars

I'm racing in SR.D, looks to be permanent for now. But the brake check penalties actually work down here. People are brake checking in SR.D to try to get rid of you :lol:

I cannot, for the love of God, string together a lap for Daily Race B. I keep binning it in the second half of the lap. :ouch:

That car and course combo is too rough for consistency at qualifying pace. Stitch a couple of runs together in post with emphasis/highlight reel on the locations which keep causing trouble unless done perfectly.
 
Wow, some guys just don't have good racing etiquette. Racing in race A, I'm being very patient trying to cleanly pass for the number 2 spot. He/she kept crowding me, even though, I was obviously faster, but I continued to race clean. Finally, on the last lap, on the last turn, I found a hole by braking early to get a run, and he/she cuts down into me to try to block, but it didn't work. I come out ahead and finish second, and proceed to tell them good race, even though I thought they could have been cleaner. They proceed to say next time don't use them as my brakes, when I braked early to turn in under them. Anyway, it was a fun race but that ticked me off, as I raced clean while they were blocking for 3+ laps.

Race B is a disaster, as everyone uses you as a wall or their brakes.

I tried TCS5 and still oversteered off the track. CSA and ASM should be allowed exclusively for this car, lol.

I'll keep at it since I enjoy the track although I imagine the actual race is nothing short of chaos.

I find it easier to drive it with the TCS off... you get more feel to work with and the big rear tires hook up pretty well. Just have to really mean it when you push the go pedal.

that said, my lap time is awful so far, I’m not anywhere up to respectable pace. May never get there. Hats off, @afc5150 ...nice lap time!

Made a killing in Races A and C tonight, on my alt. Corvette was good for repeatable top 5’s and 500 DR per race at DTG, and the Mini race is really pretty fun, just have to avoid hair trigger contact penalties and keep it online. Got a win there and mostly easy top 5s and podiums. Fun combo.

Struggled to get a meaningful time in race B, can't get below 8.30.....

Thought I might as well join a race, resigned to starting at the back, but found myself in p8. Two cars with slower times than me, the rest all A drivers with no QT - oh, and @GOTMAXPOWER on pole nearly 35 seconds faster than me!

Got punted off twice by the no quali 'experts' behind me, and finished last!
 
After reseting my DR yesterday from 35k to 15k I was so upset I decided to take a long break from the game. However, the decision wasn't strong enough and I started to recover, which went quite well and after a 4 wins in a row and some 2-5 finishes and then 2 more wins (never had 6 wins in 1 day before...) I'm on a good way to get back DR A, being now at 27K :). I didn't think I can earn 12K in just 4 hours... I really like race C this week, and the mighty McLaren 650s, very fast, forgiving, sweet handling and good on tyres with BB2. It keeps the pace until the end of the race when other cars seems to struggle with the tyres. And it's great that this group 4 race is not FF dominated, there is always a full grid of different stuff.

How exactly is this DR reset working? I'd like to avoid it next time. SR level needs to drop 2 steps lower than DR or more than 2? I was DR A and I think SR C when that occured.

That is it exactly. There are levels to the reset as well. A drop from DR A gets you reset to 15K, down below that the next step is to 7K. I am sure from that low SR it gets close to total DR reset.

I think most people are scared of race B so the matchmaking isn't great, almost no A+/A are entering so the grids are badly unbalanced. Some races only 5 cars finish, the GTA system of only putting the timer up when 50% have finished would work well for races like this.

I'm scared of it, but I'm still giving it a go...... :scared:
 
Well I ended up creating myself some time to go racing last night and did 6 race A's with the Mini and was pleasantly surprised as actually had fun in Sport Mode (Weird, I know!)

Brands Hatch Indy Circuit seems to work well with the 05 Mini and although I dislike Sports Hard tyres was actually able to drive quite well, always finished in top 5 and had one win and 3/4 for the remaining races, SR has improved which is always a positive! 👍

Think I will stick with this race unless the penalties start rolling in, have a 59.329 so I will have to look at the qualifying hot lap video to see if I can improve that any.

Join us! :) Putting anime girls on your liveries makes your car look 600% cooler, and gives you a speed boost! You should also ask my friend Gears (I don't know his GTP name) about Nene (not pictured below). He will introduce you to the Nene Lovers Club, and before you know it, you'll be putting her character decals all over your car. :)

As for my night I have decided it's time for the ultimate test of my 'skills, bruh', gonna race the '65 Mini since i see it gets a power boost and see if I can win with it!

Sonic is cool, and it matches to race car, hes fast right? Only anime I know is Dragon Ball Z, I even like it. Imagine livery with Vegeta:) but girls? Bulma livery? Nah...
