I tried to run Race B to try and repair my SR after the wreckfest that was Nations Catalunya Race 1. Slammed the exit wall of Death Chicane costing me the CRB and raised my SR...to 89.

Fantastic. At least Race 2 had a decent result.

Got a good lap for race C :D You just keep finding time on this combo, it's weird :lol: Pretty sure a 36.0 is the absolute limit (a perfect lap). I'll try to push it further later in the week.

Dude you're %$#@ing fast. Yeah I agree about finding time, my opt was at 38.9 and I got a 38.6! :bowdown:
These Saubers are really suiting me, closest I have come to WR. I think I might be able to get low 38 if I try a lot, but I have no more patience to qualify. :D

Pretty much now the super qualifiers have all put in times at Seaside. You probably need a low 45 to start ahead of the one lap wonders.It’s still fun. Ive run M4, the pink Mustang, the Ferrari, and the Viper.
The Viper is best but boring. It’s so grippy. The Ferrari or Mustang are my favorites.
I like the Mustang because you can tell Viper users think they get a free pass.
The Ferrari is awesome to drive. It pulls on top too a little bit.
I’ve done many races from 99 gained some DR not much.

Crap luck for me last night. Had a pretty clean FIA race that put me down to 81 SR for some nonsense. Ran two Race B’s and got back up to 91. Then decided to run “just one more.” The end result was me dropping down to 60.

This game really needs a “he was sideways before I got there” algorithm.

Yeah I've lost all confidence in the COD, hitting it more often than not, ruining every race. Not sure what is going on but I've got the yips, cannot race at seaside for now, hitting the wall every second lap.

I find I sometimes hit the wall if I am following someone - so easy to get distracted specially if sparks are flying off the wall or they are messing around
Also some cars obscure the view of the track which is crucial for the exit

It is a nice equaliser tbh - track would be dull without it with no chance of catching someone well ahead
 
I’ve had a bunch of great races on B. Somehow I’ve stayed clean. There’s been a little bit of everything and now there’s some drivers that have the qual times but can’t keep it clean in race. I’m opting out as many A plus have done it seems. I stayed 99 over maybe 20 or more races on B. Here’s a few results in different vehicles:

So since it’s a holiday I will also share this photo. Two A plus crashed then turned to desperation and the midpack did not appreciate it. Anyways huge bumper car madness ensued. Luckily I only took one pen for the guy I tried to take out. Quite a lot of anger here...

I knew it was gonna get ugly. People (myself included) DONT know when to just get the car home in one piece and move on to the next race...I saw this coming..

3 races attempted in the A combo this week, 3 times I've been punted.

Is it possible to get an actual clean race in this mode any more? All I ever see is people bashing their way through each other or throwing stupidly timed blocks.

I just want to get what I need for platinum... but right now I'm more inclined to uninstall it for good.
 
I was fuming during and after a Race B. Was having a clean battle with a TT, Viper and NSX. A Vantage decides to join and straight nudges every one of us at certain parts of the track.

It only caught us because we gave each other room. Yeah, it slowed us down, but I can believe we all wanted a CRB and not an orange arrow. "But noooooooo.... You wanted to be QUAID!"... err, ahem... Excuse me.

Anyway, we're all seeing red and trying to gun for this Vantage. We're tripping over each other and just losing it. The creep winds up finishing 4th and us three are 8th, 9th & 10th. Had to shut the game off and boot up GTA V.

Ok, now I'm convinced this game has something against me. I decided to run some laps to set a time for the B combo. Got into the race, 15th out of 16 which isn't great, but I only did 4 laps before matchmaking, so whatever. Grid starts rolling... 3, 2, 1, countdown and as soon as manual control would be given, the game DC'd me.
 
My RC F is doing a bit of damage. Nooooooobody is using it. I'm not setting any FLs Edit: just set FL :lol:, but it's solid alround. For the RC F to have the smoothest suspension, the rebound is a bit harsh, on the COD exit kerb. Other than that, it's fast, 2nd gear or 3rd gear acceleration out of the Larini hairpin is sharp.

It certainly harrasses the FFs. ;)

Edit: One other RC F is in my current race. 3 seconds back, but that's a start.

Edit2: Also another RC F in last place no time. :lol:

There goes that.

But back to this week, at least in Asia the difficulty in pulling a smooth pass has people just going psycho full send in the first couple of corners. I'm over it. I like the combo actually but it is killing me to see how people are driving there.

Oh well. On to next week, and

N24 is going to be interesting. In Manufacturers, we get 2 laps at the Nord. 2 laps at N24 X5 tyre wear. I'm going the RC F for both of those races.

Wonder what GR.4 cars at Tokyo.

Everyone seems to run with the Sauber Mercedes but the Porsche is much easier to drive smoothly and consistently across 10 laps. Ran the whole race within 1 second of my fastest lap.

I started with the 787 and haven't had a problem so stuck with it, there are usually people much better than me everyone else usually drops out at some point. Getting some good results with pretty standard races.
 
Have they changed the penalty system for C? It seems whoever is innocent gets the penalty, I know this sort of thing happens a lot anyway, but here it is ridiculous. Nearly every time someone passes me and hits me I get a penalty. Luckily most races are fairly clean, but when you get a bad player it really spoils it.
