Good morning friends,

I finally returned to A S on the alt. I had one quite good race, nice clean A level battling. But, during the succeeding races it became evident that the penalty system change memos have gone out. I shared one race in which I was bombed from WAY outside slipstream range then the driver called me a pig after I introduced him to Dr Wall, and then sent him off with some lotion to enjoy some time on the beach.
Post race there were comments so I uploaded so you can see the post race interviews with my A and A plus competitors under this fantastic new pen system...

I'm right on the verge of losing my A DR at the moment, I've been rather poor recently. I'm giving it a proper go this evening to try and boost myself for the FIAs. Come and join me on Twitch if you want to see how bad it goes!

Honestly just had some adventures in race A. I ended up with 2 clean battles in 3 races, but with assorted monkeys mixed in there.

The system allows you to return favors, but it means you are getting whacked at the start. I have to hand it to the dedication of the people I raced who even with the new version of the system are still maintaining a B or A SR rating.

And I love the warm feeling I have when on a grid start the driver lined up exactly behind your car has a B SR and is spamming the pre race chat with 'let's have a clean race.' They tried to take me out turn 1 and missed. Slammed me wide with a dive on the final turn. They got really mad when I returned the favor next lap. Then missed on their revenge punt. I kept my CRB as i only nudged them to outside wheels on the grass on exit, but they lost SR for punting 3 other people during the race.
:dunce:

If you are into technique and how to race and stuff, I reccomend this book. https://www.amazon.com/dp/0760340501/?tag=gtplanet-20

It’s basically all I’ve gone on and it took me from beginner to A plus driver.
98 percent of what I say came from the author Ross Bentley

My copy arrived today. Thanks for the tip on this book.

You recommended it to me a few months ago when you were coaching me on braking... deja vu.

Chicanes at Le Mans. Guess it'll be all about the newer cars.

Jumping in Spa with the Mustang. Starting 4th(problaly will get stuck at the start) behind an M4, RCZ and P1 650S.

Edit:  That's crazy. I won that at the line. P1 speared off after going wide halfway around the circuit. M4 & RCZ were battling. Keepingme 1 second behind.
On the last lap, They kept it clean until the M4 passed the RCZ at the end of the straight. From there. M4 mustr have been lookingin the mirror too much. Slowing the RCZ. I started to get closer. As they head into the entry of the final turn, the RCZ has a dive. Runs the M4 a bit wide. M4 pushes back. As they exit the chicance, M4 ruins the RCZ wide. I catch and pass as they struggle on the rumble curbs. Cross .1 ahead of the M4 and .5 ahead of the RCZ. Crazy.

Trying the FF Megane next. Fun with the alt this week. ;)

Well I had to try race C, totally clean race so that was good. Q10 in the 787. I wanted something I could drive and learn it as I knew I would suck, but so would many others. Got 1 track pen and I didn't deserve it, but there were at least 5 times I should have got one so no complaints. Didn't crash, had one brief race with a couple of others, one other 787 who was faster than me and I was in learning mode so wasn't making it hard to get by me. Still came home 6th. Good race, but I need loads of practice before trying again. If it stays clean I'll keep playing, but not playing dodgems.

I have done a lot of laps at Le Mans and track limits are strange in a few places and I would think "why the hell did I get a penalty" only really 2 spots that catch you out, just at the end of the 2nd straight when you take the sweeping right before the 2nd gear left, if you go to far left or right even though you think you are still on the track it will often give you a track limit, this caught me out a few times when I was trying to avoid or keep out of the way of another car.

I have mixed feelings about racing there as it can be very messy as it's all about the tow down the straight and there is always a lot of barging to get in the slipstreams.

The key is not to use the hard shoulder on corner entry, it’s easy to get a penalty at the first chicane that way. Stay within the white lines and you’ll be ok.

Had a few race C at Le Man's this morning. It's been pretty good clean racing so far with only corner cuts and track limits being a thing as far I can tell.

I am glad I skipped the dailies over the weekend and used that time to practice this track with the LM55. Track knowledge and having picked out my breaking point is helping a lot so far. Folks really do get tunnel visioned on the straights and seem to forget there are some twisty bits.

Might be a fun week and hopefully my DR might see some upward movement for a change.

The problems you can't know if it's an idiot just because his in a Gr C car. The number one car on the EMEA top 10 is a 787b....
Edit:and the R18 is a great car for qualifying but not for racing so beware of those too.

Is this at the moment?

I'm sure by the end of the week the TS050 is going to dominate and end up being the meta car.

Though, the 787B looks like a beast down the straights along with the LM55. The R18 might fall out of favor for some folk.

Having fun with Daily Race C. I wasn't sure on what's the right car for this track so I checked the leaderboard hours ago and saw that the Pug seems to be the right car so I went ahead for that car and managed to get a win in my first try for this week's Daily Race. In terms of the grid I'm in, its a mix of usual TS050 users, 908 users, and Group C users.

You may notice that I'm wearing Ari Vatanen's helmet because I feel like I needed like a guidance of some sorts for this race since I'm driving a Peugeot.

Had a good shot of the first lap.

In the 787 you don't have this issue as I've not had anything able to keep up even if they are withing range. By the end of any straight you have over a sec to them. Suppose in higher lobbies with people using the boost better it might be an issue, but not C- low B.

got to play for like an 1 hr this morning 1/2 for practice and did 1 race . Qualy was in 908 in the low 1.21. Race was in the TS50 started on pole and won (2 on hards 4 on med) I should be able to get qualy a little lower but I do think the HYBIRDS by the end of the week will be car to beat. I defiantly will try some group C later on in the week just getting my feet wet today...

Yeah, Race B is way more respectful. No diving. Players keeping momentum. Backing off at Seaside hairpin to allow players the room to accelerate. Noone wants the cars b hind to catch up. Been pretty much good for me this weekend.

You see I had the opposite experience. I guess all the races are a pic n mix currently.

Race B is giving me the opportunity to practice with Jaguar who I'm using for the Manufacturer's season. Enjoyable, sturdy car at Spa. Only issue is I almost don't trust myself enough to chuck it in sometimes! The car definitely feels like it will handle it!
Also, anyone high B feel free to add me, or anyone really! Username is the same as here.

No Bathurst this week but thought i'd post this, ever get a little loose through the esses? Go to 4.30...KA..BLAM...OOOOOH

I have that Anton De Pasquale livery all ready for the Bathurst race.... Now I might use another....

And for race C my 787b's are warming up. Just gotta decide what livery to run...
I think Kodak or Fuji Film today

This week will be a NO QUAL week on the c race. With this penalty system no qual will be GLORIOUS!
I’m looking forward to it after the battles on B last week. The great thing about the hybrids is that they are a safe choice.

Personally I don’t race LeMans because it’s safe.
