i cant seem to beat this race:ouch: the closest i came was 1 sec away from the leader. that was on my thir attempt, i did it another 5-7 times and couldnt get that close again. what mods and suspension setup did everyone use?

Try painting it pink. just kidding, actually do drivetrain mods. They help with the sluggish shift times, and a high performance set of rims might help (it says so on GT Auto; I am not sure if it is true).

I dropped the front Suspension so it turns faster and had the clutch and flywheel and tranny mod. Its amazing how different the car behaves with less front ride hieght.

Its all about the setup!

Drop the ride height, tweak the toe and camber, add some aero parts. Its races like these that help understand how to set up the car. Took me several attempts but I got fist at the start of the last lap finished by a few seconds. Btw I use a dualshock controller.

Don't change the Oil , I did and had to Buy another one as the Oil Change takes it 1 measly BHP over the Limit :grumpy:

Slow in - Fast out

Tsukuba is one of those tracks where its actually quicker to drive slower, especially in a low powered FF car like the Fiat.

Going into a corner too fast will rob you of speed coming out of the corner, sacrifice some of the speed going in to gain in coming out, and you will win it, also make FULL use of the whole track.

With slight mods, and no tuning, it is more than possible to win by a good margin (and yes, with the pad too)

This, the race could probably be won with a stock fiat by just going slow in and fast out. Focus on coming out of the turn with the max speed, and that should get you the seconds you were looking for

It took me a few attempts, but finally I managed to catch the leader in the last corner of the last lap ;) You can't upgrade power but apply those light windows. It will take of 10kg and you will meet just the limit of 1000kg.
Furthermore, I used the shortend gearbox and chassis enhancement (?), some aero parts and reduced its downforce rear almost entirely. I worked 👍

I didnt do any modification, used the fiat as it is after purchase. Won on my third attemp. Yes slow in Fast out.

You have to hit the brakes very late in every corner.
Its easy - i finished 2nd in first run, miles behind the 1st Audi A2.
Then i've bought sport air filter and removed windows - was 1st on beginning of 5th lap.

No it's not. I didn't even use suspension mods.

My 500 was stock apart from a sports transmission and lightened windows. I'm currently uploading a video of my race to youtube.

There's some valuable advice above. Keep it up, you'll nail it.

I finished second on the first try, but needed 40 mins. to get first - it's not that easy.
Only used the close ratio transmission (not the fully customizable), air filter and the simplest sport suspension, I didn't feel like spending a furtune on an (admittedly cute) Fiat 500.

Use every inch of the track and then some more! Be VERY aggressive in cutting corners. Steer as little as possible and conserve speed.
Maximize exit speed, don't break too late!

Dont allow overtaking to kill your lap times. Focus on clean fast laps, not overtaking.
Draft whenever possible.

The reference is 5 secs per lap. If you are slashing the lead by (AT LEAST) 5 secs per lap, you have a chance.
Starting the last lap, you should be no more than 5 secs away, or you're not going to make it. 4 secs deficit should be more than enough.

Good luck!

And here's my video

Excellant Last Lap Pass , given me a few Idea's .

Couple of Questions .

Manual Transmission Yes / No ?

What Top Speed did you set it too ?

Slightly Off Topic

What Capture Card are you using ?

Just put one one thing for tuning: close 5 gear ratio gearbox. that will do the trick. If you wont win then, you never win this.
