We were both in the same place. We had the description down to what color the train cars were around them, how many cranes there were, there was a little wooden dock, a blue generator truck, and on and on.
He said he was having some weird graphic problems though so maybe that had something to do with it.
 
There are a few places that look identical, though I could have been a glitch, but I have never experience this problem.

look at the port of Cherno and Electro, they look identical inculding containers and stuff.
I would think it was that.

I saw gameplay where people wanted to meet up, and it was always this.
Use the map I emblemed, it will help you a lot

Also the glitch at Berizino is still there even after playing a bit in arma2 and OA. Didn't solve the glitch.

And put a .50 in someone's head
 
Hey all. I'm Bob in game. Might change it to something else in game whenever I'm given the go ahead as a member. Had an interesting time last night at the NEAF when we had a dc'er take out two of our group providing overwatch, but hanging out at Rog with the group was awesome. Looking forward to running around to find a chopper and other vehicles.
 
What is the key to getting into a server? I keep getting stuck on the loading screen. A friend and I spent over an hour and a half online earlier and only played for maybe 20 minutes of it and then we both got kicked from the server.
 
got attacked by a town of zombies at stary sobor while cycling the tents...
only 1.5k blood left. If anyone is on nearby and can give a transfusion leave a message ha.

after I get a refill me and tree gonna be checking vehicle spawns and downed choppers (and looking for better backpacks)
 
Ibo, Newt and I just did some heli practice. Turns out we really needed it! :P

Everyone should get some training, especially with landing. (crashing doesn't count!)
 
So battlecattle and I set up an ATV at NEST, will be good for ferrying parts for choppers. I also set up a tent which battle cattle and I are claiming if thats ok. Droped that 50cal and silenced m9 I found In one of the tents not sure which. I also borrowed an M4A1 from one of the tents for the ATV mission but I never had to shoot it and it made its way back to camp safely. Battle cattle and I are on standby at NEST untill needed.
 
Me and tree got an ATV up and running (the one we found by olsha earlier) and delivered to NEST. We did take the fuel parts from the camp though. Please be nice to it, it was a 15km run roughly to get the rest of the parts...

I request that it mainly be used in organized ops to gather parts from secured areas in order to fix other vehicles.

Wherever its destination is, should ideally always be a secured area.
We don't need someone taking it into an unknown hotzone like cherno and getting blasted by a "Cpt.D!ckwrath"...

I'm just REALLY attached to this thing... I want it to be a permanent fixture in my life. Like the bacon fat coursing through my arteries.
 
Hey guys, Played alot today, gonna give an update.

Tree and Battle got an Atv running. They were gonna park it at nest.

Also, Spotted the Ural Civilian heading east* out of Novy trough Guglovo. I opened fire on it. The driver had on a ghillie suit and pulled over where he took position behind the truck. I was in a really bad spot as I had proned in a field when I spotted him. He had me pinned down and sniped me through a bush. Looked through the players online and the only one I recognized was Satan. It was possibly him.

As I made my way back to south I started dieing of thirst. No drinks in camp. Ended up going back to my body which was left untouched and retrieved all my gear and saved my life.

And, If anyone nabbed a m4a1 sd and the mags out of Ibo's camp, I would be really happy to get it back. Although I don't know that anyone took it, it was just sort of gone, might of been a tent issue.

Well not to interesting little gun fight, I was pushing up the east side of the map about roughtly 1.5 clicks south west of solnichniy and passed into a medium value barn to check for supplies when I heard gun fire to my rear and made my way up to the top perch inside the barn and kept watch out of the little window when I saw two players advancing quickly in my directions. One had a m4a1 cco sd as primary the other had a cz550, I sat quietly to see what they where up to. Player with the m4 sd moved up to enter the barn and I had eyes and sights on him as he spotted me didn't even get a round off as I put a warning shot into the door next to him and he dodged under the lower floor on my side of the barn. Waited patiently knowing that as long as I stayed up in my perch I had tactical advantage and would most likely be suicide to try and go down the lower stairs. After a couple mins he started talking at me over open voip asking me if I had a gun? seriously i chuckled a moment and he tried to convince me to come on down to him, yeah really like I was going to and live, but of course I don't reply and like to make him sweat it out wondering it I had disconnected or was waiting for his little noggin to pop out, about 15 mins later his buddy makes a mad dash into the barn, I fire a single round at the steps to keep him pushed back. player with the cz550 ducks behind the crates on the other side of the barn, but he certainly didn't know that I could see his every movement because the rifle barrel stuck out, about 5 mins pass and I am keeping eyes on his the one guy across from me and making sure his bud doesn't pop out on me. I see him positioning and he makes a wrong move exposing his knee I aim and put one round into it, he ducks back but made wrong move number 2 and moved to far back and I was able to scoot over and stand to deliver the final 2 rounds right into his head and send him back to the beach. Soon as his friend see's his buddy died I hear screw this over open voip and the quick scurry of feet out of the barn. I re-positioned as I wasn't going to risk a possible fake out, I waited for a while and heard nothing but zombies moving. I logged out there to take a break, will see if I run into them again.
 
When I can get online again I will be mostly in the forests looking for vehicles and camps. Fluid do you have any idea where he could have been taking it? Also Fluid I have an cco sd back at nest. Go ahead and check there next time you are online.

@ Newt, can you make a list of the areas of the map you have checked already for vehicles and camps so I can avoid those and focus on the other ares 1st?
 
Nope, I have no idea where he could have been taking it. I made an error in my earlier post. He was heading East. He went through Guglovo, so it is East of that posistion unless he brought it back west.
 
in case any one didn't see this, it was posted some time today.

Please Note: As of update 1.7.4 the spawn locations for Hueys have been changed. Exact locations are currently unknown

there are two supposedly confirmed and one unconfirmed locations for the new spawns.
 
Getting a hang on this flying business, just need to pollish my landing. Ya'll should do some training too, would suck if we finally find a chopper and then crash it:p

I'm working on a scenario in the training editor that includes extractions from LZ's with AI's. But when there are enough of our people online we can replace them with real people, then we can get people some door gunner training and stuff.

I've had practise in arma 2. When I was stil playing the free version, I liked airlifting vehicles and people to the front line.

1 tip: Don't jump out the heli if the tail rotor is damaged close to the ground. A pilot should still be able to put down the chopper almost gently while spinning. Don't want to stand on the ground when a spinning chopper lands though...
 
I just want to thank Walker for trying his hardest to take out the helicopter.
 
Sounds like someone snatched the heli before us. My guess is on Mr ian and friends
 
I'm pretty sure we had server hoppers take it from us last night while we were seconds from repairing it and getting it airborne.

By thanking Walker I think he means walker attempted to shoot it out of the sky.
 
Hope the person who took it is not a dick and actually uses it. That way we can have another go at it. Would suck to see it get hoarded away somewhere.
 
Yeah last night was pretty lame with the chopper. After spending all that time to get the stuff and then having all of those people who drove and escorted that slow as hell boat down the coast only to end up with us all dying to server hoppers...just lame.
 
Hey all,

Long day/night for everyone who was online. We tried hard but were bested by server hoppers. Checked logs, they hopped 3 times, together, for about 45 minutes each time (on another server I guess), came back with different items (Jerry, windscreen, etc). There were 2 of them, checked GUIDs they are new people never signed on before tonight. Not our old friends. Just random server hoppers like the large majority of the user base. Apparently they had friends on another server getting the items for them then transporting them to/from the coast so they could hop back on our server with the goods.

Fact is, there were only a number of servers (guessing around 100) that were not locked/passworded by cheating admin/clans. And about 100,000 users trying to hop to find those choppers. Without us cheating, there really was not a good chance at all but I guess we got close.

I managed to shoot their airborne chopper as they were going around the coast shooting folks, about 6 times with the AS50. It was hard to get a good line on them as they were circling me shooting with the MG and I was running like mad to avoid fire. But eventually they ran off to the far north, and we saw that they died a while later (well one died and one D/C'd). Never to be seen again. I think either their chopper got stolen or they crashed it. Hopefully it respawns again...

We should have a few more spawns added soon, possibly again at the island. We have a new ATV, 3 new boats and a bicycle so we should be geared up well enough for another go against a new batch of ghosting cheaters when the time comes.

As for ghosting cheaters: I am going to work on training missions that allow some of us to play the parts of cheaters, teleporting around, invisible, godmode, etc, so we can get better at defending against this.
