Young_WarriorAnother funny one.
Young_WarriorShe crashed her husbands beloved car. And because she wasnt hurt its amusing to the sterotype that woman cant drive.

Of course they have helmets and Hans devices, but at that speed having a very stiff structure and being well strapped into it is more beneficial than having crumple zones.

And the Skyline is a unibody, which doesn't offer as much protection as a proper tube frame.
Downforce depends on the "bernoulli" effect (low pressure zone) in the small gap between the bottom of the car and the pavement. How can it "fly" aren't the aerodynamics supposed to do the opposite of lifting?
Yes. The basic structure of a tube frame, regardless of what it is made out of, would have prevented the car from seperating. It would, however, have wrapped itself around the pole completly and the driver still would have died. I doubt it would have looked as gruesome as this did though.skip0110Very true, points well taken.
But I still think a tube frame car would have fared better. Yes, the driver still would have likely died. But I don't think the car would be in two peices. And if we looked at a slightly less violent collision, I think the tube frame car would be safer than a C/F tub like the Enzo.
At least that has something to do with the topic. Cripes. What does that take it down to? 395 left?

He did 85 in a 35 and crashed? Well, he must be some crap driver, or maybe he was doing it in the rain.
