That is actually very similar to my setup, but I couldn't stand it after a while. This is an outdated pic. The shifter now has its own stand lower down. I moved my PC here a couple months ago, but I moved it back to my desk after a month or so.

So what the heck is wrong with delaying and fixing up the game. Sure the game won't be here for Christmas, but you will get your pre-ordered copy or have the right to cancel it if you see fit, and if you do you have not gained nor lost anything.

Read my post again and abstain from adding in your own believed nonsense, My complaint was about being promised the game in Nov and then for whatever reason SMS have chosen to use, withholding it until next year. If they couldn't deliver what they wanted and it was so obvious then they should not have announced a release date.

So at the end of that story, what I want to say is that even though the game is delayed your money will not have left the retailer's hands.

The retailer doesn't have my money I never mentioned any of that as it was not relevant. Get your facts straight and stop thinking you speak for me, it's very arrogant.

Those release dates were soft dates meaning they were likely to change, the process of delaying the game started weeks ago but they have to submit a date of sorts for the consoles companies to go yes you can release it.

build a pc.. i made the bad choice of buying a ps4. There is nothing to play on ps4. Driveclub sucks so bad, Gran turismo.. well you have really to put a lot of faith in it as last two games were so bad.. and pcars will surely run better on pc and you can already play it. If you are passionate of racing games the ranking is:
- PC
- xboxone
- ps4

I'm just a pussy cause a like plug and play and do not have time to dedicate myself to build up a proper pc. But oc is the choice.

well racing* wise, if you have the ps4 you have nothing to play. I'm playing other genres.

If I had of delayed the PC build until next year now that the game won't come out till then I would have been able to buy later model components for the same price and ended up with a better machine but guess what - it doesn't matter and it isn't SMS's problem. Instead, I can enjoy Assetto Corsa and rFactor.

If you have bought a console and maybe a new wheel in readiness, cool. It will be ready for it. More time to build or perfect your racing set up and play other games. Not having the game you bought it for ready straight away isn't going to render your stuff useless.

I'm not a WMD member but I fully support the decision. I bought GT6 on day one and I'm STILL waiting for that to be finished so I'd rather have a finished game from the get go. By the sounds of it there is plenty to fix up.

I also have a CSW2 on order and I revamped the cockpit ergonomics, now used for AC and RRRE. Totally worth it. It really takes time to figure out the perfect layout and distances of pedals, seat and wheel.

Later release means I can get the latest GPU in spring and enjoy full quality I always wanted.

The only thing I regret was selling my TIR5 , now it's much less immersive to play Elite.

yall got months now to build a pc and play pcars on the master race in the glory it should be played at with maximum fidelity....and while you're at it.... there is Assetto Corsa that can hold you over, iracing, grid, older sims, etc....

i know this is a big console site because it's for GT....but some of the fear people have over pc's is just hilarious... it ain't going to bite ya :-p and will give you a vastly superior experience with no licensing issues on pc for your wheels :-p

I think building from now till release will allow you get great deals. I brought my parts in a time frame of a week had i used a site like part picker, i would have saved a lot of money and by buying over time the cost impact is less. I would expect tonnes of deals round christmas time so hold bit back. buying a titan by saving for a few months is hurts less than not saving.

This seems like more of a complaint against the weak PS4 racing library than anything SMS have done. They're not first party, it's not their job to prop up any given system.

I'm mad because PCARS looks finished, I can't imagine what else need to be done to it. It's been 3-4 years....and now it's delayed another 5 months? Could we at least have had this date in the first place? LOOK at what is coming out from the end of oct to dec that isn't racing games, there is your answer...if they didn't have to compete with other genres's and games for christmas it probably wouldn't have gotten delayed....instead they delayed it when nothing is coming out so they get the glory and in turn continue to improve the game...they were severely over shadowed by other games this holiday

It looks finished to you because the videos people put up are of when the game is working right. It's sort of frowned upon for WMD members to post up videos of seriously buggy stuff, the intention is to fix it before the public sees it.

Trust me, it's not finished. It looks great (mostly) and drives great (mostly), but the AI isn't where it needs to be, the systems aren't where they need to be, the career mode isn't where it needs to be, and probably a whole bunch of stuff that I don't get around to using isn't fully functional either.

Of five races I had today in pCARS, only one had no showstopper bugs pop up. And even that one had an AI that crashed and knocked a wheel off, yet was still trying to crawl around the track on three wheels. Which was kind of funny, but it's not quite right.

It may look finished to you, but it's really not. Complain about how they handled the dates if you like, but the delay is the right call.

Why do think when I post the ai there em was such a curfufle. The was potentially the first time they saw pcars in a rawish format. While I'll appreciate what digiprost does I get annoyed as he and many other just a lap or two of a car with out other cars. This annoys me as people end up with false impressions. So my videos will always put it across as it is. To help people have REALISTIC expectations.

Still, I think he's made the right choice. He's disappointed, and so he's voted with his wallet, as is right.

When the game comes out I hope that he'll be impressed enough to buy it then. It doesn't really matter if people buy the game in the first day or the first week or the first month. There will be plenty of time post-release for those who aren't sure to find out if it's the game for them.

The only racing game that I know of that might come out between now and then for PS4 is F1 2015. The Codemasters F1 games haven't really changed much over the last five years, so I think we know what to expect there. pCARS is pretty different.

Thank you, and yes, I'm currently voting with my wallet. If they were to release a demo for the PS4, I may be persuaded, but I haven't had a chance to try the game. Perhaps if they release a demo for the PS4 version closer to release my interest may be piqued again.

I'm as disappointed as the next guy , this is the game I've been waiting for for a long time as I love racing sims and I'm a huge fan of Endurance racing .
But I'd be even more disappointed if they released a game that wasn't finished , I have massive respect for the way this game has been put together using the sim community . A demo would take the sting away though just one car and track would do (SLS GT3 and Spa )

Yes that would be nice. Come on SMS, Just one little car and track for hotlapping. Pretty please!

Canceled my pre-order today. Might revisit this next year, but I was ready to buy this in a month and then they push it back like that? No thanks. I'm sure there will be other racing games to come out on the PS4 by Spring 2015.

Why cancel pre-order, if you're going to buy it later anyway? Seems like more work for no reason.

You have to remember though that people come on here without having read every post. Plans can change as we've found out, even if this one won't.

It can be quicker to get the answer straight from the horses mouth than work out what search terms hit jackpot. It's also still nicer to get a WMD customer service advisor than an automated message.

Personally I've read through the whole PCars thread but not everyone has the time. I think most people who come here really appreciate the effort the WMD team are putting in.

So a game with a sales potential of $100's of Millions of dollars was delayed to make some room for an admittedly good, but relatively tiny niche' game, available on the relatively tiny PC market only? Can't get on board with that one
