Because banning a single IP doesn't really work because they're not usually static. You have to ban a range of IPs, which in turn bans innocent people with similar IPs.

Josh, if you dont mind, did his IP start with 172.?

Because those are AOL IPs, and banning a 172. would mean NOTHING.

Well, I disagree. The guy became seriously unhinged at the end there, even with multiple people trying to help him and calm him down. From reading other threads, particularly some of the 'girl trouble' threads, it is obvious that DT has serious problems relating to society.

He can only seem to see the world as US versus HIM, even if he has to manufacture those feelings himself. A number of people spent a long night trying to help him get back under control, only to get bitten for it.

I won't say he never posted anything worth reading, but I will say his behavior at the end was totally unacceptable and uncivilized.

Maybe so, but we could just put him on our ignore list and that would of done the trick. He deserved more chances, i always feel yuo should forgive.

The ignore list is a feature for people who don't necessarily like another person and don't want to read that other person's posts; not for people who constantly disobey rules, spam the forum, type in all CAPS constantly, etc. We tried telling him several times that we weren't "BSing" him, and that we didn't hate him, but it didn't work; he still went crazy in 99% of his posts.

even so, typing in all caps. Thats not a big offense. I do see that we swore alot, but he didn't go around the filter unlike some ppl. Also as i stated before we should forgive and forget. Give him another chance. But now that seems useless because he probably doesn't want to come back.

I'm sure he would pack up and leave sooner or later
