Best Looking DeLorean

See you later guys :)
I will have the room up a little early and be public in the Open Lobbies.

No troll will be able to cheat anyway since the only car option available is the DeLorean and
BHP & Weight are locked to our numbers.

As a last minute addition I will award points based on the F1 system. Just to see who can get
the most points and be crowned the "Time-travel Champion".

Well done, cgg. 👍👍

I'll have the rest of the results up soon.

Thanks for another great race challenge Jocke
I thought it was real fun, started to get the hang of the DeLorean after a while. I could definitely go for some longer DeLorean races
some other time. How about right now?

It was unusual seeing the replays and the entire grid made up of only DeLorean's.

Thanks @cgg @FergusMik @SmileyWRX @copes24 @Team Ape @raw6500 @nonka

Thanks Jocke, great fun racing at 1.21 gigawatts!

Saw this in Edinburgh
That's great bb. There are only ~6,000 of them left in the world.
One of the gtp members owns one. :) @synchromesh

Post #1 is updated for the final time now and all necessary information should be there.
The big day is on Wednesday, October 21.

Qualifying will start at 20:00 GMT and there's no telling what might happen when we all
reach 88 miles per hour.

You are welcome to sign up. Hoping for lots of DeLorean's.

My Dad and I are fans of the movie and we're going for a real cruise October 26 :)

Strangely enough I've never raced in any of your BTTF events @JockeP22!!
Although I must have a go at them later in the past.

I shall attempt to make this one on the correct date though. But due to calibration problems I might have raced in it the week before. I'll let you know how I got on.

Here's the preset lobby and the regulations are
available on the far right.

I found that a pitstop takes ~50 seconds from pit entry to pit exit
after some testing done in September.

Play your cards right though and you won't have to pit because 50% of the fuel
should last you ~23 minutes and the race is only 40 minutes long.
Those with greater pace will obviously burn more fuel.
It could be a close call.

It depends on driving style, and some might choose to pit anyway
since the tyres will have degraded to around 5 or 6 towards the end.

My best test lap on new tyres came down to a 1:56.113.

I chose the Special Stage: Route 5 location as it has very similar surroundings
to the Twin Pines Mall car park at night.

It's a shame Polyphony never made this car into a premium model in the game.
Just look at these incredible interior shots;

You can change the paint on your DeLorean's if you wish, it is not prohibited.
There's even a gold-painted one in real life;

Comfort: Hard
Aids: Only driving line
I've just tried a few laps, partly because I don't know SSR5 Reverse.

No ABS with the square button could make me a bit of a hazard, particularly at turn 1. I'll try to keep out of everyone's way. :scared:

I've just noticed I was using Comfort Soft instead of Comfort Hard tyres. I'll try again soon with the correct compound. :dunce:

We're in the same boat, Mallet.. erm car.
I'm afraid Biff stole everyones ABS along with the sports almanac,
so we won't be able to use it. It'll be good with an extra challenge.

Is there any chance you could use the stick Mallet? As you squeeze the brakes on the controller rumbles to signal imminent lock-up. It's brilliant, and in that respect, better than pedals.

Alternatively you could wind the brakes right back, so they're only locking up at lower speeds.

Or alternatively, given the nature of the race, if you lock up and crash, just rewind ten seconds and take a different approach!

Cheers, (always full of brilliant advice) Zo.

There is actually a chance that I could use the DFGT.
I'll most likely stick with the square button though. As you say, if anything bad happens, there's always the time travel option.

Edit:
In the correct thread this time, here's the soundtrack for the day (the one in the bottom middle of the photo). :)
