Nothing I'm really interested in this week; back to feeding the ever-hungry Pocket Infinity and hope next week Xur has something like Ice Breaker.

The higher level fusion rifles are completely OP in the crucibe, one hit kills. I can kill anybody also but almost always the person that kills me is using one.

I'm sticking with my hand cannon but it's annoying when one weapon type dominates.

Well the weapon does have its drawbacks. Especially with the time it takes to power up, as well as how dispersed it gets at range. If you're in range though, yes you'll get destroyed.. Just like with the shotguns..

I know they plan on balancing out a lot of the weapons, but I dont remember reading anything about fusion rifles.

My Legendary Machine Gun is a beast, but man that thing has some crazy recoil haha. Good thing the first perk increases stability the longer its shooting. Its damn powerful too. On the queen missions I was able to just mow down anything, even the bosses where fairly easy. I think I'm going to start purchasing those special ammo replenishment from the Gunsmith. Purple ammo is to scarce sometimes.

The people I go up against the rifles charge up almost instantly I swear.

Isnt there an exotic fusion rifle that fires instantly? I think @Terronium-12 actually has it.

EDIT: Nevermind, its not instant, its just full auto(I think?) from what I'm reading.

Yes, Pocket Infinity.

I'm almost near having that perk too. :D

@Clark, @neema_t - You guys wanna do Devil's Lair a couple of times, or run through a few strikes after I've had my lunch?

I forgot to do it before we finished up yesterday and now I need 25 strikes for Bad Juju.

Double post, Reported.

I played the Raid last night.. Failed horribly. I am now dead set on getting better gear, as I want to get that thing done. I'm on a mission.

I'll be there in 10.

@Terronium-12 @Clark I'd like to join either of you but you're both away or something. Invite me when you're doing a strike, will they be easy though? I need to do one more strike without dying for my Invective bounty. Then I want to patrol because I'm getting pretty close to FWC rank 3, it'd be nice to have it done tomorrow.

Well I still need to do that bounty for Sepkis so it'll be level 8. :p

Ready when you guys are.

Aaaand my wi-fi just went down. Give me a minute!

Edit: turns out my dog knocked the router over and it came unplugged.

It kicked me out of the session anyway.

YOU were actually doing a great job holding the right circle by yourself. I was trying my best holding the upper middle circle by myself. The problem was a couple of the team mates we had really didn't seem to be into it at all. So basically you and I got shafted. So dang hard to find a team of 6 players actually working together for that raid. Makes me even more angry at Bungie for making the rest of the game a 3 player co-op. Because if you have any more than 3 friends all you can play is the raid or MP. I was being very optimistic and putting full effort into the raid just like you were, it was just so discouraging when the other team mates didn't want to be there. Its not meant to be easy, its meant to be very challenging. Oh well.

I didn't even want to reply in this thread today because I didn't want to feel like a downer. But dang that was a bummer last night. I still think overall we did a great job considering we only had 5 players and 3 of them really were not into it. Just need a team of players that actually wants to participated and try, instead of always having stuff handed to them.

Heard there was a really good exotic auto rifle for sale today by Xûr. So maybe later tonight I will get on and try to buy it. I really need a better weapon for sure.

Be warned, one of the required upgrades (to advance to the others) has the AR firing bullets at a considerably slower rate though you do get a damage buff.

@CAMAROBOY69 Yeah I was able to hold on to it for a bit, but Another person is definitely needed. I do not have enough ammo to be able to hold it for how ever long its needed. After 1.5 waves, I was pretty much done with ammo, resulting in me dying or me having to run off to scavenge some.

You're right, the others didnt really seem like they were dedicated.. Hell I was taking down a Minotaur by myself, faster then they were doing it, together.. I was struggling though because of the blast radius on its cannon.. 2-3 close shots and I'll be done for. That being said I had to take to the sky and couldnt stay on the ground more than a couple of seconds. I was jumping all over  Once my friend gets to a higher level, I know he'd be able to help out, but as of now hes only 21. I know @dice1998 is a pretty high level, maybe he can help out :P

Also, I only have about 9 strange coins, I dont think thats enough to buy anything. We hsould power through those weekly/daily strikes with the coins, today.

I don't mind helping with the VoG since I actually want to do it

I was going to save the few motes I had left to possibly buy another exotic engram next week, but I might have to buy a Blessing of IV and try it out.

"Cayde-6 took the Cryptarch aside and showed him a sack of doorknobs. He decoded that mystery pretty quickly." - Ha!

Edit: Two of the three people who are playing Destiny on my friends list right now are using Blessing of the Gifted... I wonder why. Also I'm about to join them, for science of course.

Shut up.

Guys, you wanna do the Nexus NF Strike? I almost solo'd it and we already completed it on Lv. 28 anyway, but now there's a chance for exotics. :D

Same strategy as before albeit with even more caution this time.

I bought the the exotic auto rifle today. It was a killer in the crucible and story mode. I then did the first upgrade and it ruined the gun. It slowed the for rate to crawl when you aim. Il can almost shot a scout rifle as fast. I wish there was a way to remove that upgrade.

The 1.0.2 patch will go live next week, and includes several changes to the Cryptarch and Engram experience. These changes guarantee that Engrams will always decode into items at or above the quality of an engram.
Only Engrams that drop after 1.0.2 are subject to this change.
Cryptarch Changes
Cayde-6 took the Cryptarch aside and showed him a sack of doorknobs. He decoded that mystery pretty quickly.
  • Legendary Engrams will always produce Legendary or better quality items, including Materials or Exotics
  • Rare Engrams will always produce Rare or better quality items
  • Rare engrams will have an increased chance to produce Legendary quality items
Activity Changes
  • Daily Heroics, Weekly Heroics, and Vanguard: Tiger Playlist activities will include Rare and Legendary Engrams in addition to their existing rewards
Item Changes
  • Ascendant materials have been promoted to Legendary to closer associate them with the gear they are used to upgrade
  • Legendary Engram items that exist in your inventory will be demoted to Rare quality when the patch goes live, so decode them while you can. But let’s be honest--even if you don’t, we all know they were blues already...

From bungie.net

I got a exotic bounty today :D. I checked it out and it's a shotgun called Invective. I'm currently doing 5 raids with out dying for it, pretty easy if you play the strike on Earth :D

I hope you like and are good at Crucible, the next objective is to get 25 more kills than deaths in a round... I haven't tried that yet, though I have done it before... Once.

More caution = not falling off the platform? Because I think you'll find I was plenty cautious last time... And is there a chance for exotics now or after the patch?

@neema_t already finished that part :) weird thing is, is that it doesn't have to be in one match. I did it over 3 matches.

I think you just have to get more kills than deaths, and it adds to the counter.

That upgrade really really does kill the gun. I might end up switching back to Hard Light.

What! That's easy! I figured it'd have to be in one round to be any kind of challenge at all. Well I know what I'm doing later.

Edit: One round with the SUROS Regime (cheap, I know) and I completed that goal and got a legendary engram as well as two rare pieces of armour. I should play Crucible more often!

About the SUROS Regime, the upgrade only affects when you're aiming, right? Watching a video (where the player never hipfires) makes it seem like it'd be a pretty good substitute for a scout rifle, though obviously I don't know how good the damage buff is or what the range is like, I've barely used my Regime as I've been working on my Thorn in anticipation of the incoming buff and my Pocket 'All that work for this?' Infinity. I mean, I know the exotic weapons only really become useful after their exotic upgrade but the PI is pretty lame at the start; long charge time, short range and 3-burst battery, but at least it has high impact.

I think this sums up my Destiny play style quite well:
