The car show shots are in the Videos and Photos forum -
here. Didn't want to post them in this thread lest I violate the rules!
Thanks, both of you. That thread made my day.
M5Power
Any idea how many there are in the nation? There's at least one registered in Denver. I'm not exactly desperate to see it like the Veyron or the Enzo, but it would be pretty nice and I'm surprised you've seen more than one!
Unfortunately, I have no idea. Come to think of it, I've been wondering where some of you guys come up with the sales statistics for various cars. Is there some common website that I'm just unaware of, or is it a subscription service?
On to this week's batch, mixed as it is:
BMW M5 E39

Illegally parked, but who cares when it's such a cool car?
Porsche 911 Targa 4S

Had to look it up; I thought it was some cheesy rebadge. Neat, though. That makes it, what, one of 42,000 possible 911 combinations? At least when someone says that they own a silver 911, they have a good chance of being one of a few.
Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG 2001

Non-supercharged, but better built. Sold less than the later, faster, cooler version. Still looking for the same-era S63 (
http://www.mercedes-amg.com/, then Engine Room -> History -> 6.3L V12).
Lotus Elise

I really wonder what stops me from ditching the STI and picking up a two-year old Elise. Oh, right: it's tiny. Wait, that's a good thing....
Mazda RX-7 Turbo (1990?)

Love those red wheel centers. A friend of mine has one in blue that he's been rebuilding for three years. I think the only excuse is that he's doing it mostly by himself. Good thing he's got two other cars to drive in.
Chrysler Aspen Hemi

Why was this made? Wasn't the Durango supposed to do this job? Oh, right: it's got a 'Hemi.
Chevrolet Corvette Z06

I saw this getting off the highway way ahead of me, and thought I lost it. A fantastic example of what US car companies can do when they get their heads out of the sand. Is this the special orange that was offered for a limited time, or is it just a standard Z06 color?
