That doesn't look as hard as the Greek super-special in 2.0, I remember struggling alot with that stage back when still I had 2.0. If only I had that game now.
I don't remember the stage actually being that hard - Sweden was always the ahrdest one for me, but I've always struggled with snow driving in these games - because it was largely symmetrical. The problem was that I just couldn't work out where the bottom half of the circuit actually went, because it felt like there were more overpasses than underpasses.

But that game had some great stages. particularly the super-specials; Sweden, Greece and the UK were all fantastic. The Kenyan one was a little bland, though.

There's also a fifth TeamVVV preview featuring a Rallycross ice stage
I was going to share that one, but it's not too difficult to one we saw earlier that shows the same stage.

Keep in mind that I was about 12 when I last tried that Greek super-special. I'm sure if I gave it a go today, I wouldn't find it anywhere near as hard as I used to. The Swedish super-special was quite difficult as well if I recall.

I've noticed something a little odd about these super-special stages: if you started both cars running in the same direction at the start, they'd have a head-on collision. Instead of running two rings around each other, it's one continuous course. I've also seen it in that six-minute Italian video preview, showing a stage in Norway (or maybe Aspen).

And if you compare that video to the one showing the Smelter rallycross stage, you can clearly see where the two cross over; the rallycross is a (significantly) shorter version of the super-special stage, run around the smelter building itself.

Been waiting for this. Thank you for posting. Kept forgetting to go to their site lol

HAHA same. ISR one is a good end'er. And their opinions on it are more than enough for me. I know this game will FAR surpass 2, which was more or less garbage. I jus never understood how you make a game worse than the one before lol
Many hours are going to go into this game.

Sorry for being a little late to the party, but is there any indication of a car list yet?
I believe it's been posted in this thread already. But, just to refresh, this is a post from the official forums that a guy has been putting together.
Any car with an "S" prefix has been clearly identified in a video or picture, any car with an "R" prefix has been referenced in preview text or another news source.

Sorry for a (possibly) noob-ish question but does anybody know if either the PS3 or 360 versions support triple monitors (like GT5)?

Ta... :)

There have been videos of triple-monitor action; check out the MLP videos of Norway and Michigan. But I don't know what setup they're using.

So... Is there a superteams pack?? Or is it just rubbish.
I assume you mean DLC. There hasn't been any official word on it.

You can get the superteams pack as part of a bundle from game ( uk only ) if u pre order the game . It's only 4 cars that u can already get

I just checked the net, seems odd they would omit Pike's Peak? People are saying this is due to them not wanting to simply put in tracks they've already done before

I had been looking up pike's peak vids and getting excited hehe. But at least we will get the cars so it's really not a super huge deal I guess. It's not like I'm a die hard fan of that hill or anything. someone in this thread posted a link to a pikes vid and that got me fascinated by it

Codemasters have said they've been forced to run shorter stages because they don't currently have the capacity to make longer ones with their graphics engine. Longer stages in the game will likely be two existing stages put together rather than stand-alone stages. It's a little disappointing, I'll admit, but from what we've seen already, the stages do look quite challenging.

I'm not too impressed by it. I don't know most of the bands; UNKLE and Run DMC are the only ones I'm really familiar with (and in the case of Run DMC, I only know one or two songs). DIRT 2 might have been disappointing, but it had some really good stuff on it, like The Automatic.

Havn't heard of most either, Biffy seem to be in everything though, good tune that, Furyon also awesome, seeing them in July.

My soundtrack will be nothing on that list, the sound of revving motors, gravel and then the unmistakable crunch of Aldo crashing and barrel rolling down the road.

I was reading this and agreeing...
And then I wept.

But presumably I'll be listening to the sound of me on fire falling off a cliff as well. :D

Monaco head-to-head:

So, we've got the Monaco waterfront gymkhana arena, and now a head-to-head stage. Maybe there will be a Rallye Monte Carlo DLC pack at some point.

FTFY. 👍

Ordered it from ShopTo. £32. Cheap as chips.

Well that makes it sound better...

Thanks for that. I've just cancelled my Amazon order! :)

Wow interludes, you're keeping in touch with this game like I was with HP3. 👍

It'd sure be ironic if you turn out to dislike this game when you get your hands on it

Eh, what else am I going to do? I'm up-to-date with all my work; assignments submitted, lesson plans written, paperwork filled out.

Fired Up! Once I saw official support for T500RS wheel (on Codemasters site), I pre-ordered from Amazon.com. This will be my first Dirt series game.
