Eh, what else am I going to do? I'm up-to-date with all my work; assignments submitted, lesson plans written, paperwork filled out.

Im sure your going to love the game. I really cant see (after all we've seen) how it could be bad. I am very excited.

Soundtrack announced:

Crash Tactics - 65daysofstatic
That Golden Rule - Biffy Clyro
Blind Faith - Chase & Status (feat. Liam Bailey)
Storm 3000 - Leftfield
Cherry Moon - Lorn
The Answer - UNKLE featuring Big in Japan (Baltimore)

I'm not too impressed by it. I don't know most of the bands; UNKLE and Run DMC are the only ones I'm really familiar with (and in the case of Run DMC, I only know one or two songs). DIRT 2 might have been disappointing, but it had some really good stuff on it, like The Automatic.

I've shortened the list to show the only songs that I'm familiar with. The song Heaven by UNKLE was used in the first DiRT 3 trailer last year, so I'm not surprised to see one of their songs added to the game soundtrack. The Leftfield track is the only one I actually listen to, so that will be my immediate favourite for now.

I'm sure some of you have noticed that one of these song was part of the GT5 soundtrack.

I've got to stop watching gameplay videos. After all, I want some surprises on May 26th ...

^^^THAT there... is a... GREAT SURPRISE!!! :D :dopey: Indy is that same weekend, so I'll pick this up next week when I get paid. ;) --- Randy

My soundtrack will be nothing on that list, the sound of revving motors, gravel and then the unmistakable crunch of Aldo crashing and barrel rolling down the road.

Agree!

I think he meant the lack of music, he won't be able to hear you crash from another lobby... only Trolleys wrecks can be heard across the entire community.

Oh, really?
Nah just his, in your words, paedophile-like voice as he goes over the edge of the cliff...

A lot of people were excited for Hot Pursuit 3... and when it was released, a lot hated it because it wasn't old-school enough, or because you can't turn without drifting, etc

Pretty sure its dependent on region. In Australia we get games on a Thursday, not sure about you other countries :P.

In this instance we have a much better benchmark (i.e. Dirt and Dirt 2) to give an indication of what to expect. So far I'd be happy if it drove exactly like Dirt 2 and just had more cars and tracks. Any other improvements are icing on the cake for me, I would be willing to place a good some of money on me enjoying this game alot and for a long time to come.

If it drove like WRC 2010 but had more cars, track and a more exciting career mode then I will love it.

Tip #1 for wheels, set the E brake to one of the wheel buttons . Dirt 2 was initially very difficult on wheel, but you get used to it fairly quickly.

FTFY... Noob.
Can't stand people that can't use the correct word

But yeah, as long as you don't sell it, I can see us playing for a long time.
For anyone wanting to race online, we are fast...
Well I say we... Drag is fast, and I'm usually at the back in the car that looks like it has been through a crusher...
Use of headset is advised although you will have to put up with our nonsense, mainly spouting utter mince about Golfman.

Release day all nighter anyone....? :D

Can't stand people who need a new line for each sentence, but live and let live I guess (going for most ellipses per word also?). The childishness in us has already begun and the game isn't even out yet :sly:, hurling out insults under the guise of 'banter' which is always a way of justifying acting like a dick.

Seriously though I'm game for an all night run, particularly if I can put off going home until after release day and assuming I do just be an idiot and spend money I don't particularly have in order to get it 👍. Plus being at uni means I can jack the network again for hosting purposes.

Bah it's easier to read. And fair enough I use far too many ellipses (the plural of that is? :p )... < :sly:
Banter? What's that?

My last exam is on the 25th - Incidentally the day that Dirt 3 should be at my house. :D

Codemasters have said they've been forced to run shorter stages because they don't currently have the capacity to make longer ones with their graphics engine. Longer stages in the game will likely be two existing stages put together rather than stand-alone stages. It's a little disappointing, I'll admit, but from what we've seen already, the stages do look quite challenging.

Ah thats a very good explanation 👍

Any word on the cheapest place to buy/pre-order it currently? ShopTo?

The plural of ellipsis is ellipses I believe.

Yep Shopto is £32 as Nigel said. Amazon is £37. No brainer really.
Although you have no brain. So...

I see. Probably could've Googlerised it tbf. :p

If I have no brain, you have been repeatedly beaten by a corpse falling on a steering wheel. So what you're saying is you're so useless you are in fact inferior to someone with no brain, food for... whatever it is your 'brain', if you can call it that, does that's closest to a thought.

Also 👍 for the verification on price, I'll probably make an account tomorrow or Thursday and place a pre-order.

Now where's Golfman to make a tonne of complaints about Dirt again?

:ouch:
Yay!

I know, I'm considering PMing him to come back, just so we can troll. laugh at him shower him with praise?
That would be a little harsh after he lost the bird of his dreams: Shell from checkout number 3. She is always free :indiff:
