Do you think Gran Turismo would be better if developed for the PC?

Whats your problem, dude? He is right....or why do you think, multi-platform titles are buged like hell?

No, he is not right. Nor do bugs have anything to do with graphics.

Speaking of bugs * casts an eye at GT5 *....

Those are PC only. All multiplatform are ports. They do not make it on PC because of piracy

If said games are PC only. And if They do not make games on PC because of Piracy. Why do said games exist? And why do they make money?

no one is talking about bugs, graphics, try and keep up.

Do you want to say, you just see the fact of hardware to make it possible to let GT5 run on PC?

So when this is, how it is...I say yes, GT5 can run on PC better than on console.

If you see it realistic and in more than one way...you can definitely say NO

And here we start again. So this is just the fact of "hardware", but hardware is not the only thing you need to develop a game. Or why was GTA IV on PC as buggy as on console?

You guys are so fixed on your PC hardware, that you ignore the fact, that PD is a part of Sony and the only way to get GT5 on PC is to make it multi-platform-running, because for Sony, the PS3 is always a platform to run GT5.

2. Its all down to the developer to take the advance of the hardware(that is why there is game with the nvida and radeon compatibility list.

There is no such list.

Yea you an tweak your PC at top but not everyone will do that, and not everyone will pay a fortune to make one.

And? No one in this thread is telling you to.

too much self win in this thread, anyway

Seems to me there are a few PC people going 'the hell are these people talking about? million different kinds of ram? Hundreds of different kinds of Graphics standards? $5,000 PCs to run games?

LMAo, no, Pc games can look and be way more complex, more processing power - more complex, get a clue, most complex simulations used by the military, are PC for a reason.

I would say it is much easier to code for a machine which is designed to JUST play games, than it is to code for a machine that can do hundreds of other things. I'm taking a Game Design Technology Degree.

Developers are developers, same principles go into both systems, console developers just have a better base to start with.

Not necessary true . I would think it easier to build GT5 on the PC with 4GB of ram plus virtual memory than trying to cram everything in 512mb of ram. PC you have more flexibility. In fact as more stuff was being added in GT5 PC hardware was advancing so it wouldn't been a problem while PS3 stayed the same. This is why head tracking can't be used in racing yet this would be no problem on the PC as you point out it a lot better at multitasking.

GT5 would better lot better on PC.... triple screen
By the way, Window 7 is a lot better when it comes to gaming than Vista or XP.

Yes, much better. 2000x Better graphics, and most importantly mods, mods and more mods. Check out Rfactor, they turned a game with almost no content into a monster of racing games with every track or racing car you can imagine available, If GT5 was on the PC it would be amazing.

Nope all games are ports. For gaming rigs however they make sure it uses latest hardware properly that is the only difference. That is why nvidia, intel exist. But as I said it is not prefered option. Millions of racing fans play on consoles. May be millions play on PC too ? but majority are pirates

No, they are not all ports, valve make all ther games primarily on PC, as was battlefield and its dx11 garphics. Learn some facts. post a link proving all Pc games are ports?

Then explain iRacing. GTFO

Still doesn't surprise that more people play iRacing than rFactor. 30K vs. 6K

Adding directx11 support means nothing  As I have mentioned before they make use of latest hardware that is the only reason.

I din't know Civilization V is on consoles lol and you are trolling this thread

i just posted a link where thr DEVS say its not....................... your ignorance is amazing. Your trolling to then if I am, im at least posting facts, not the ramblings of a dillusioned fanboy.

Yes. ps3 doesn't have enough memory to display all the detailed content. It's responsible for glitches and bugs and then people start complaining A LOT on an internet forum.

You have to be a troll. Civilization V. That's a port, right?

Steam says you are wrong. So utterly fundamentally wrong its insane.

We can bet, that he isn´t wrong. First of all, every person can have as much account as he like...like on console.

Second....You can buy every SimBin-simulation with Steam...and I saw them all cracked on internet

Saying you can bet he is not wrong doesnt make it so... I just posted links that PROVEd he is wrong, can't read?

He is wrong. Civ V is not a port. End of the debate to be honest. Nor Bad Company 2, as already proved.

GT-5 is cracked on the internet.

GT-5 is cracked on the internet.

Most 360 games get avaliable on internet and some even before actual release date but most people buy game on consoles unlike PC games.

If GT5 would be better on PC there would be something like GT5 on PC. There is not and there is a reason for it.

I don't wanted to have to buy a new PC just to play a game (my laptop would certainly not run it), and I don't want to have to hunt for drivers and tweak setting to stop it from crashing. And I really don't want a tacked on online mode that has to run on whatever servers the community has decided to setup with no structure, or anything like friends lists.

But that is fine because it would never happen anyway. Nobody is going to spend so much money developing an PC game. I will quite happily stick to consoles thanks.

won't happen. even though PD is it's own company, it's still subsidiary of Sony, Sony won't let that happen. contract issues and other politics just won't let that happen anytime in the future.

also PC = easily pirated at time of release

and Console (especially Xbox) = Pirated a week before release.

consolers need to get it out of their head that the PC is the only player in the warez business..

I know loads of people who buy games on steam. PC games are way ahead of consoles for online gaming, and thus most PC games have been made for online play for the last 10+ years, and if you want to play online these days you cant play cracked software.

Even Diablo 2, a 10 year old game, you need a legit copy to play online, and online is where the game is.

People buy games because they want to play up to date software and they want to play online, and thus there is not a huge gain in getting pirated software. Also console games have been pirated since always, i remember when i was a child getting my PS1 chipped so that i could play copied games.

My steam account is full of games, and i know quite a few people the same, so no i don't think piracy is a big issue now, less of an issue than it used to be.

Valid concern.

Just about everything you said there is utterly invalid and wrong. You do not have to hunt for drivers. Online modes in PC gaming is not 'tacked on', PC Gaming has been doing online since before Consoles ever even dreamed it was possible. Console gaming takes almost all of its multiplayer features from PC Gaming. There are centralized servers and well as decentralized servers in PC Gaming, just as there are on PS3. All you do in GT5 is join a lobby with a list of games being hosted by other people. The same thing PC games have been doing since the early 90s. Also PC games have had many different varying levels of structure to their multiplayer experience, and the Steam system does everything that Xbox Live or PSN does.

I will quite happily stick to consoles thanks.

No one in this thread is telling you to go switch to PC gaming. We're just asking you to stop spouting ignorant crap about the PC.

Yep, good post. the console gamers ignorance in this thread is crazy, they dont know much of anything how far ahead PC is in hardware and in the online space.

You seem to have said that a lot. That the majority of PC gamers pirate their games. Why don't you try and back that up instead of just asserting it?
