TorqueHappenS08GTP: In closing, is there anything you would like to say to the GTPlanet community?
KY: The feedback we receive from our users – the positive and the constructive feedback – really provides energy for our company and really motivates us to do more. I think if we can keep up that relationship with the community, that would be great! Lastly, thank you all for your support!
from when Jordan interviewed kazunori. pretty self explanatory.
TankAssWhy? I can think of reasons why people would not want Kaz to visit GT Planet. Just look at some of the unnecessary things people have moaned about and suggested.
EliteDreamerAll feedback is useful, may it be positive or not.
Indeed I did miss that.Reality:
Which you seemed to have missed.
No, TankAss is right here. There is a lot of constructive feedback on GTP, but at the same time, there is a lot of whining from people who aren't able to realize what is practical and what isn't. Just take a look at the motorcycle for DLC thread, many of the people who agree with it think that motorcycles would be a great addition for GT5, yet they don't realize that this can cause GT6 to be pushed back, and the addition of cars to be ceased.Any game developer, or any developer of any product needs criticism.
JordanIt was made very clear to me, in multiple, kind comments by someone closely involved with Gran Turismo's development (not Kazunori), that GTPlanet is an valuable resource for them. So the answer to the OP is "yes".

nitrorocksI've never seen Jordan post in regular threads before. Why is that?

GTPlanet is a great site, but in the end it is the users' themselves that cast the general response to certain topics. The majority of people on GTPlanet seem to be mature and thoughtful, but to be quite honest I was disappointed by some of the attitude that many people were having during the first 12 months of GT5's release. It's great to hear that the response of the people behind GT is positive.

👍👍👍👍Jordan: Sometimes, truth isn't good enough, sometimes people deserve more. Sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded.
TankAss95: We'll have to seek you.
Jordan: You'll look for me. You'll condemn me, you'll set the moderators on me. But that's what has to happen.
TankAss95: Because he's the hero GTPlanet deserves, but not the one it needs right now...and so we'll ask him, because he can take it. Because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector...a dark knight.

I'm sure you have proof of this apparent hypocrisy of specific people, then.
I am aware of such cultural differences, but that doesn't really apply to this conversation or how the complement was delivered.Jordan, not trying to devalue what you've been told, but be aware that being extremely accommodating toward others in business relationships, towards customers, guests, etc, is a japanese cultural thing, a sign of politeness. Sometimes (at least to the eyes of westerners) it's hilarious because a person in order to avoid saying negative things that might hurt another person's feelings will answer in the most indirect way or even lie (for good) and expect him to realize that.
Probably the most common example: when in Japan you ask a person for something and he answers "that's difficult", he really means "no".
Another common example - A: "Would you like more X ?" B: "That's a little [too]..." (= "no")
Or, for example, when you're a guest in a house (in Japan) and the owner asks you if you want to stay some more time, you're expected to politely refuse, because he doesn't really mean it.
I think they read GTP, but they don't view it often.
But I also think that Turn 10 reads GTP to see what GT fans want in a game and include it in Forza. Look at all the things we wanted in GT5 that appeared in FM4.
TokoTurismoI've noticed that too. There was a car I asked for, and it's in FM4. Funny right? It was that sky blue Jaguar.
I wouldn't be too concerned about that: the XKR-S is a highly sought after new Jag in general, and also one Jag would probably want to show off as much as possible in video games while it's fresh. Besides, T10 have their own DLC suggestion thread on their own forums, so there's bound to be lots of crossover.
Considering GTP is far and away the most visible online location for all things GT, it'd be silly if PD didn't look here. How often, and in what capacity, is unsure, but we do know they're very aware of us. It'd be very cool if they ever contacted Jordan for something similar to the "Forzalopnik" DLC T10 did a while ago 👍
