My problem with the promo is it capitilises on the criticism of Cenas retirement tour for a cheap pop and burst praise by just admitting theres a problem but isn't actually doing anything with it so the problem still exist.

It's still going ahead with nothing interesting to make it worth it.

I'm not looking forward to their match and I doubt many people are, Cena listed off some names he would rather face and he mentioned Dominik Mysterio, Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, The Usos and Jacob Fatu. I'd take any of those over Logan Paul.

That segment at the end of the show where Paul took Cena out was re-shot and was shown on USA, it was shot from a different angle and no-one knows why.

Its WWE NXT Heatwave tonight, here is the card.

NXT Tag Team Championship.
Hank & Tank (c) v Darkstate

Chelsea Green & Ethan Page v Tavion Heights & Tyra Mae Steele

Jaida Parker v Lola Vice v Kelani Jordan
(Number one contenders match for the NXT women's championship)

Jordynne Grace v Blake Monroe

TNA Knock-outs Championship-Triple Threat Match.
Jacy Jayne (c) v Masha Slamovich v Ash by Elegance

NXT Championship.
Oba Femi (c) v Je'Von Evans

I've been watching NXT pretty regularly for a few months and its been good.

AEW Forbidden Door is also on tonight from London.

A couple of title changes at Heat Wave last night, Darkstate are the new NXT tag team champs having beaten Hank & Tank, they are a four man faction but it was Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin who won the titles, Ash by Elegance is the new TNA knock-outs champ having pinned Masha Slamovich in the triple threat, previous double champ Jacy Jayne lost the title without getting pinned, Ash by Elegance was known previously as Dana Brooke.

Blake Monroe beat Jordynne Grace, Lola Vice is now number one contender for the NXT women's title having won the triple threat match, Ethan Page & Chelsea Green beat Tavion Heights & Tyra Mae Steele, Oba Femi had another successful NXT title defense this time against Je'von Evans, he has held the title now for 226 days and last night was his 10th defense.

Raw is on earlier tonight as it is from Birmingham UK, Roman Reigns will open the show.

So here's a small story from the lower level indies that's blowing up because the line between planned spot and unplanned beatdown got crossed several times over

I just saw the video, man this was bad and totally uncalled for. Slamming the guy on the ground, going full mount and hitting an unconscious guy in the face with like twenty haymakers.

For you guys who don't follow MMA, Raja Jackson is former Pride FC and UFC fighter Rampage Jackson's son. Rampage constantly ****s with Raja and makes fun of him in many videos and I guess Raja finally let out all the pent up anger. Absolutely childish and immature behavior and he'll likely go to jail over this.

Becky Lynch dissed Birmingham and Ozzy Osbourne last night and his daughter Kelly wasn't happy about it, Ozzy was from Birmingham and its also the birth place of Black Sabbath and Metal music, Becky said the only good thing about Birmingham was dead and she later said Ozzy had the sense to move to LA because if she lived in Birmingham she would want to die too. Kelly responded by calling Becky a disrespectful dirtbag and Birmingham wouldn't piss on her if she was on fire.

Away from that it was a good show which was made great by the crowd, the main event was Bron Breakker v LA Knight, there is still no word about the women's title situation and the title won't be defended at Clash this Saturday but Vaquer has been promised her title match, Roman Reigns got a great reception and had a brawl with Bronson Reed, Becky Lynch v Nikki Bella for the IC title has been made for Clash.

I mentioned the crowd last night and some of the chants were great, JD McDonagh had a match with Dragon Lee and they ripped into him about his big head and calling him 'a **** Finn Balor. they later chanted 'you fat bastard' to Paul Heyman!

I forgot to mention a couple of things.

It was Penta v Kofi Kingston last night and Kofi won plus he kicked out of the Penta Driver finisher, I think that's the first time someone kicked out of it in Penta's WWE run.

There has been a lot of distraction's and DQ in matches lately and honestly it been pretty exhausting to watch as its happening so much you just expect to happen, however last night it was Finn Balor v AJ Styles and of course they had a good match which Styles won clean in the middle of the ring with a Styles Clash, no interference or distractions from Judgment Day, it was really refreshing!

Not 100% sure. I am not really wanting to upgrade to the bundle since I don't use Hulu.

So Smackdown has happened in Lyon, France. And the big news from it is that we have a new United States Champion, Sami Zayn beat Solo Sikoa to win the US title for the first time, it was a good main event match with the now usual distractions and shenanigans from MFT, Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu but Sami did win clean in the middle of the ring after two helluva kicks.

The show started with another fiery exchange between Paul and Cena but this time Cena definitely won! The Street Profits are new number one contenders for the WWE tag titles and will face WYATT SICKS at Clash on Sunday. We were supposed to have a women's tag title match between Flair/Bliss and the Secret Hervice but Piper Niven was unable to travel for some reason so we ended up with Chelsea Green v Bliss instead. Michin beat Kiana James in about eight seconds! Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton got into an altercation.

We also got the reason why Cody Rhodes has been off TV lately, his wife Brandi has given birth to their second child so congrats to them, I didn't even know she was pregnant! We will see Cody at Wrestlepalooza.

Here is the card for WWE Clash In Paris which is on Sunday night.

Roman Reigns v Bronson Reed.

WWE Tag Team Championship.
WYATT SICKS (Gacy & Lumis c) v The Street Profits

Women's Intercontinental Championship.
Becky Lynch (c) v Nikki Bella

Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook Match.
Sheamus v Rusev

John Cena v Logan Paul

World Heavyweight Championship-Fatal Four Way Match.
Seth Rollins v LA Knight v Jey Uso v CM Punk

Its an okay card but nothing special, only three titles matches.

Its been reported that the Reigns/Reed match will open the show, I actually think Cena v Paul could main event but only because Brock Lesnar could appear and attack Cena which will set up their Wrestlepalooza match.

So I'd be really surprised if AJ Lee doesn't return soon, Becky Lynch helped her husband Seth Rollins retain his world heavyweight title by hitting CM Punk with a low blow and Seth then hit a stomp on to Punk onto a chair. Tag team match incoming?!

There was no Breakker or Reed to help Seth as they were banned from the building, they attacked Roman Reigns after Reigns beat Reed in a good opening match, Reigns then put a guillotine on Paul Heyman which led to the attack on Reigns with two spears and three Tsunamis, two when Reigns was on a stretcher.

Cena v Paul was match of the night by far and it surprised the hell out of me! There were a lot of call backs in the match with both of them using other peoples finishers, Paul used a Zigzag but Cena used an End of Days, A Code Red and a Styles Clash and I've probably forgotten a few!

Sheamus v Rusev Donnybrook match was predictably brutal with Rusev tapping Sheamus out and its only the second time in Sheamus WWE career that he has tapped out. Lynch v Bella women's IC title match was okay as was the WWE tag title match, I've seen reports that the Street Profits are splitting up.

The crowd was insane as expected and the arena was huge with over 30,000 there last night, Raw is also in Paris tonight with Dominik Mysterio v AJ Styles IC title match likely being the main event.

When this all started on Sunday night there was no guarantee that she would come back, but since then all the noise has been positive and it seems like she is definitely returning maybe as early as Smackdown this week as its in Chicago.

If for whatever reason AJ doesn't return then replacing her with Rhea Ripley is the obvious choice.

Tonight is John Cena's final Smackdown appearance, I think he was supposed to have a couple more but it was changed, He is still appearing/competing at Wrestlepalooza, Crown Jewel, Survivor Series and Saturday Night's Main Event in December which will be his retirement match. Tonight Smackdown is from Chicago which is where Cena made his famous debut against Kurt Angle back in 2002 so its come full circle for him.

CM Punk will of course be there, AJ Lee really could be, as could Brock Lesnar...

AJ IS BACK!!!!

AND THEY DIDN'T CHANGE HER THEME!! 😭😭😭

Ohh man what a pop so got as well, she took out Becky and looked great doing it, its not a one-off either as she has signed a multi year deal, plus her new shirt sold out within hours. I loved the look on Punk's face too, he is one very proud husband.

Cena v Lesnar has finally been made for Wrestlepalooza which is in two weeks. Cena faced Sami Zayn for the US title and it was going good until Brock came out and hit an F5 on Sami and two F5's on Cena.

Wade Barrett will be taking some time off for the next couple of weeks, he said he asked for it nine months ago and he had to come out to say that because there were reports that he was being dropped as punishment due to an incident with Nikki Bella in Paris, they have cleared the air since though. Cole and Graves will call both Raw and Smackdown in his absence, still no idea what's going on with Pat McAfee, he will be at Wrestlepalooza but only because its in his home town.

We miss Hulk Hogan, we enjoyed some of his famous battles from the late 90's and early 2000's. My grandpa was a huge wrestling fan back in the day. He still watches it on the USA network. Him and my grandma have regular cable still.

I'm going to say I feel Pat is getting tired of dealing with stuff that requires him to answer to someone else.
A quick Google search brings up articles saying he just got tired of the travel schedule, and with football season starting again I imagine ESPN is paying him much better than WWE is anyway.

Is Pat not taking time off because it's NFL season??

It's the same every year isn't it, he takes a few months off - or am I misremembering?
