Two more matches made for Wrestlepalooza off the back of last night's Raw, both are tag matches with The Usos reuniting to take on The Brons also a mixed tag team match with AJ Lee and CM Punk taking on Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

AJ Lee of course got a great reaction for her return and she used her first promo in over 10 years to talk about mental health which was brilliant, the other AJ (as in Styles) also had an interesting promo saying he thinks someone is trying to force him out, worth mentioning that his contract is up in February and he has hinted at retirement in the past, it will be interesting to see if this is storyline going forward.

Talking of WWE commentators, it was actually Joe Tessitore who called the show last night with Corey.

WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh was confirmed earlier today, there was a press conference with no media or fans present, Its been reported that WWE got a 'mind-blowing' amount of money to host the event there, it will be the first Mania ever to be held outside of North America, Its also been reported that they have tried to get a few legends to take part and out of retirement, The Rock and Stone Cold have been mentioned.

I don't like this much either, I was of the opinion that if they were going to do a Mania outside the US then it should have been in London, It still could be in the future of course.

Doesn't really matter now. Unless something happens that forces WM43 to move out of the middle east, it will sour future Manias. Like the rest of the world, everything becomes numb, this is no different for me. The money will get them what they want, so I expect Austin vs Punk and Rock/Roman/Cody as the main events.

I wonder how much money they had to pay, I'm guessing several million dollars at least to host a super event like that. It would have been better to have a match near Europe, so I agree with you.

Andrade was released by WWE this weekend, it wasn't a mutual decision and multiple reports have come out since that its a discipline issue, he was apparently sent home from a TV shoot a couple of weeks ago and he wasn't used since, its also reported that he had a wellness policy violation during this run, I think this run lasted for around 18 months.

Other WWE news from this weekend is that Dominik Mysterio is now a double champion after beating Vikingo for the AAA Mega championship at the Worlds Collide event on Friday night. Cody Rhodes returned on Smackdown to attack Drew McIntyre and Cody v Drew has been made for Wrestlepalooza this Saturday.

Raw was pretty good, the face to face between Punk/AJ and Rollins/Lynch was really good with some good lines and AJ Lee took her first bump in over 10 years when Lynch hit her with a man handle slam. Cena opened the show with a standard promo, main event was Jimmy Uso and LA Knight v The Brons. No other matches made for Wrestlepalooza this Saturday.

NXT should be god tonight as its from Full Sail for the first time in five years, its called Homecoming and some former NXT now main roster stars are taking part.

So its WWE Wrestlepalooza tomorrow night. Here is the card.

John Cena v Brock Lesnar

Women's World Championship.
IYO Sky v Stephanie Vaquer

The Usos v Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed

CM Punk & AJ Lee v Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch

Undisputed WWE Championship.
Cody Rhodes (c) v Drew McIntyre.

It was reported this week that Cena v Lesnar will open the show, it was also reported that there was meant to be a triple threat match for the women's title between Stratton, Cargill and Nia Jax but Tiffany still isn't medically cleared so its set for next weeks Smackdown now.

Sami Zayn v Carmelo Hayes for the US title is on tonight's Smackdown also women's tag title match with Flair and Bliss defending against Green and Fyre.

Back to the Cena-squashed matches of the last few years. Finisher spam, may as well be watching someone play 2K on Twitch.

The Cena-Lesnar thing was bad, it had next to no build up and the match was basically a squash, it was a waste of Cena who now only has five appearances left and he has already suggested AJ Styles for his next opponent.

Wrestlepalooza was pretty average as well, Sky v Vaquer was a brilliant match with Vaquer winning her first women's world title which was a great moment and the mixed tag match was good fun but both those matches saved the show.

We head straight to Crown Jewel next in three weeks with the Crown Jewel title matches already set. Last night's Raw saw Asuka turn on IYO Sky and she misted Rhea Ripley good and proper, Rhea looked like something from out of Avatar!

Speaking of Iyo, more WWE/outside promotion crossovers in the form of WWE/Marigold-

And another one for October 26th as Iyo Sky goes up against her one-time tag partner (and longest-reigning/most defenses of the Goddesses of Stardom Championship during a single reign) Mayu Iwatani

As expected.

Crown Jewel is next Saturday in Perth, Australia with the stupid Crown Jewel title's, Seth Rollins v Cody Rhodes in the men's with Stephanie Vaquer v Tiffany Stratton in the women's, also on the card is the team of IYO Sky and Rhea Ripley taking on The Kabuki Warriors plus John Cena with one of his last matches and he will take on AJ Styles.

Also happening lately is the return of Roman Reigns which will probably led to a War Games match involving him and the Usos v Seth Rollins Vision, over on NXT Ricky Saints won the NXT title from Oba Femi at No Mercy plus TNA have 'invaded' which leads to a couple of five on five tag matches on Tuesday with Ethan Page defending his NA title against TNA's Mustapha Ali, they did originally use the 'Invasion' name for the show but they had to drop it because of Israeli political stuff so now its just called 'Showdown'

Santos Escobar is now a free agent, his WWE contract expired at midnight last night and and whilst they did make him a few offers he turned them all down.

Getting rid of all the Latinos then

Making way for Alberto Del Rio maybe.....

Doubtful. AAA got rid of him pretty quickly after the merger, and from what I understand his connection to WWE was through them (I also think it was purely so he wouldn't bugger off to another promotion with the title that Dominik is currently holding). Though Wikipedia says he's got prior history with UFC too, so wouldn't surprise me if he landed back there in some capacity given the whims of the TKO overlords.

WWE has re-signed Santos Escobar, pretty quick turnaround.

Here is the card for WWE Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia tomorrow.

Rhea Ripley & IYO Sky v The Kabuki Warriors

Australian Street Fight.
Bronson Reed v Roman Reigns

John Cena v AJ Styles

Women's Crown Jewel Championship.
Stephanie Vaquer v Tiffany Stratton

Men's Crown Jewel Championship.
Cody Rhodes v Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins is the heavy favorite to beat Cody, simply because Seth is 0-3 against Cody and Cody won the Crown Jewel title last year beating Gunther. I think Seth needs the win and I'd be surprised if Cody beats him. Vaquer v Stratton is hard to call, I think Cena needs the win against Styles after the Lesnar demolition.

Smackdown has already happened as that was from Perth too so it was on earlier, Sami Zayn was having a great match against Nakamura in Sami's US title open challenge, that was until Solo Sikoa's MFT attacked both. Aleister Black had help from his wife Zelina Vega to beat Damien Priest in the last man standing match, so the real life couple have teamed up on screen.

Its been reported that Gunther could be John Cena's last opponent in his retirement match in December, Gunther is currently out with a nose injury but is expected back in a few weeks.

Skull Crushing Finale
The Accolade
Walls of Jericho
RKO
Tombstone Piledriver

All in the same match from the same guy. World class, fight forever because I'd watch it xxx

It was by far Cena's best match of his last run, so fun to watch with some great call backs and an emotional tribute to Bray Wyatt in the middle, Cena used a Sister Abigail and the fireflies were out in force after, Styles played his part and wore some of his old school TNA gear. This was Cena's last overseas match and he only has four more appearances left.

Elsewhere Seth Rollins won the men's Crown Jewel title beating Cody Rhodes in a really good main event that went a little long, Seth cheated to win when he used the watch that Cody gave to him at Mania 40 on Rhodes whilst the ref was temporarily out of action, Rhea Ripley and IYO Sky beat the Kabuki Warriors in a fun match, Stephanie Vaquer beat Tiffany Stratton to become women's Crown Jewel champion in a match that was nowhere near as good as the men's, Bronson Reed beat Roman Reigns in the street fight after the Usos tried to help Reigns but it backfired when Jey accidently speared Roman through a table, Bronson Reed is only the second man to pin Roman Reigns in this decade after Cody Rhodes.

There is another injury situation with Seth Rollins, its reported that he got a right arm injury in his match with Cody Rhodes when he used a Coast To Coast on Cody and he was spotted wearing a sling after the show on Saturday.

We have been here before though, just a few months ago when Seth 'injured' his knee in a match with LA Knight which turned out ot be a ruse for Seth to win MITB, The two Brons did attack and turn on Seth this past Monday in a surprise move as they have only been a faction for around six months, it could be a way to write Seth off TV for a while, but then there is the added complication of the fact that he is the WH Champion and CM Punk is his new number one contender.

We still don't know the extent of his injury, if he is injured.

So evidently WWE is experimenting with AI-generated storylines soon. 🤡

On lighter news, Tony Khan being buddies on AOL with former NWA World Champion Lou Thesz is mind melting
