So evidently WWE is experimenting with AI-generated storylines soon. 🤡

On lighter news, Tony Khan being buddies on AOL with former NWA World Champion Lou Thesz is mind melting

Yeah, hearing that. It'll make it really hard for me to keep watching as someone who is massively against generative A.I

Writing is such an underappreciated part of media despite being the most crucial, its sickening

Tony Khan wins by doing absolutely nothing. Hell, even Billy Corgan's LOL-so-random approach to booking at NWA will end up better than this.

And the thing is, they're going to inevitably need to bring in proofreaders to clean up the mistakes and identify unusable ideas, because there's no way one guy (who's also apparently going to be busy finagling Trump's bagel) can do it alone so they're not even reducing the headcount if that's the goal behind this. It's just going to slow down the process even more, the same way that AI generated coding needs people with programming experience to check and fix all the errors to make it usable.

Just put it through Universe Mode in WWE 2K, it'll come up with a better story

I mean, you're not wrong. The rivalry arcs that 2k25's universe mode has are the most vanilla outlines of what makes up a pro wrestling narrative, but at least they were written by actual people who understand the concepts of what a storyline needs to make sense. And not something like "Bobby Lashley is a weeb now because he played the most recent Assassin's Creed game, I guess".

Seth Rollins has ben stripped of his WWE World Heavyweight title and the title is now vacant, he needs surgery on his right shoulder and will be out indefinitely, he got the injury after hitting Cody Rhodes with a Coast-to-Coast headbutt during their match for the Crown Jewel title. CM Punk was number one contender for the title after winning a triple threat match on last weeks Raw and was due to face Seth at Saturday Night's Main Event in two weeks.

There was a battle royale main event last night to determine who will face Punk for the title, it was won by Jey Uso who rather shockingly eliminated his brother Jimmy and LA Knight at the same time on his way to winning.

We also have new world tag team champions in AJ Styles and Dragon Lee who beat Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, its a good move as it gives Styles a new focus as he heads to retirement and I think its Dragon Lee's first title in WWE, Finn and JD's reign was pretty terrible with only a few title defenses since winning them in June.

I hope Seth recovers from this incident. There's a lot of intense action now in these WWE matches, I've seen some of them on Youtube the past 2 years especially.

Taro Okada you absolute sicko I love it.
Bozilla at 5' 11" and a swole 200, Kashima literally being a human beansprout at 5' 4" and maybe 100

Even funnier is Kashima got kayfabe tricked into accepting the match because of language barriers

Here is the card for WWE Saturday Night's Main Event tonight.

Intercontinental Championship-Triple Threat Match.
Dominik Mysterio (c) v Penta v Rusev

WWE Women's Championship.
Tiffany Stratton (c) v Jade Cargill

Undisputed WWE Championship.
Cody Rhodes (c) v Drew McIntyre

World Heavyweight Championship.
CM Punk v Jey Uso

Just the four matches but the show will be filled with ads, like before the best way to watch is not live but later on when you can fast forward though them.

Cody will lose the title to Drew if a gets counted out or DQ'ed which is what Drew demanded last night, CM Punk is the heavy favorite to win the vacant world heavyweight title and I think he should, Tiffany Stratton is on a long reign as women's champ so I can see her losing to Jade, I can't see Dominik losing his IC title.

CM Punk is the new World Heavyweight champion, he beat Jey Uso in the main event of SNME last night and it was a good but not great match, its Punk's seventh world/WWE title.

We also have a new WWE women's champion in Jade Cargill, she dominated Tiffany Stratton is in a surprising squash match in which Tiffy had little offense, the storyline before the match was that Tiffany was beat up and hurt following Jade's attack on her last week but I don't know if Tiffany is legit injured or not, she had a pretty great title reign at 302 days and lost the title on her 10th defense.

Both Cody Rhodes and Dominik Mysterio retained their respective titles and they both used heelish ways to win, its not surprising for Dominik but Cody has been doing it a bit more lately, it was a good show overall last night and perhaps the best SNME so far, also with less adverts!

The other news from last night is that there will be a tournament to determine John Cena's last opponent at the next SNME in a months time, its a 16 man field with competitors yet to be known but they will be from all three WWE shows and it starts on next weeks Raw in Boston.

Usual chodes in the comments dragging on Ridge for a botch from three years ago that could literally happen to anyone
Also yikes that is a terrible look for WWE amid their record income

Ridge Holland is the most tragic outcome of fan backlash. The botch was a freak accident that just happened to be on TV and was never allowed any chance to regroup from it.

Lets not forget, Somoa Joe had a freak accident with Tyson Kidd that killed Kidds career. Joe was lucky he was already a household name and it was a Dark match. If Joe was anyone else and the match was more public their career would be done there.

I really do hate wrestling fans.

WWE have handled Ridge's release terribly, I hope they rectify it because he deserves better.

WWE have got a few problems right now.

Over-priced tickets, too many sponsorship and product placement deals and generally poor booking has seen attendances and viewership decline more recently, the Halloween edition of Smackdown drew less than a million viewers and had the lowest attendance in years.

Its been like this for much of 2025 and many people think it started after the Raw Netflix debut back at the start of the year.

The booking of the women's US title and both tag titles on the main roster has been pretty poor and there has been a lack of thought and planning in everything they do for TV really.

I think John Cena's last few appearances will carry WWE until the new year and it just as well that it starts tonight with his last appearance in Boston.

I always said the mid card Women's titles were a mistake. There is no room and weve seen the consequences. Womens US Title lacks many competitors and has almost no TV time meanwhile the Womens Intercontinental Title has robbed the Womens World Title of any spotlight, probably due to Becky Lynch

They either need to be merged back with the original Womens Titles or if we really need a mid card title for equality. Ditch both the Mens and Womens US Titles and only have 1 midcard title for each gender.

Guilia held the US title for 113 days, she didn't really do a lot with it and had no proper storyline and is randomly teamed up with Kiana James, she lost the title to Chelsea Green this past Smackdown in a match that lasted just over a minute 30.

The women's IC picture is a bit better, Becky has held the title for a while but Maxxine Dupri has two wins over her but not proper wins, one was a count-out and the other was a DQ. Maxxine looked great in both matches and has improved a lot and the crowd was behind her both times, I can see Becky dropping the belt to her soon. Its not much but at least there is a storyline there.

At the cost of Iyo Sky did nothing with the Womens World Title during her reign post-Wrestlemania, Naomi got a decent month in and now Stephanie is struggling to fight screentime. Also what are the World Tag Team Championship?

Theres just not enough screentime around for another set of titles.

Honestly...these last few months have soured me on wrestling as a whole again. I still think about trying New Japan World, but...I've found I don't seem to care even about the wrestling at the moment. It's probably an extension of the charred lump that is my burntout brain, but AEW has put me off, WWE disgust me anymore, and the more I learn the less I want to give any support to this industry. I've started questioning why I ever cared, and I'm not thrilled with my own answers...but even so, all the junk on display right now is just that, pops for things that amount to nothing, gratuitous violence that makes it less notable (Mox and Darby), and of course the fully mechanized WWE Corporate Machine that I'm expecting an announcement eventually that Disney has finally bought a large portion of TKO. Add that the few YouTube channels I went to for wrestling are now basically news and regurgitated lists with everything else behind a wall, and I just don't need it that badly anymore.

Sorry for venting, just wanted to say my peace...and I think the inevitability of tonight sealed my feelings.

To be honest, now is probably as good a time as any to step away for a few months. There's a lot of things in pro wrestling as a whole that are in an uncomfortable state of flux at the moment and it's going to be a while before fanbase opinions mount enough pressure to make it all shake out. Tuning out for a while until at least the Wrestlemania reset comes into effect isn't going to make you miss anything really important.

And, without trying to sound facetious here, using Universe mode in WWE 2k25 is a good way to get a lot of that negativity out in the meanwhile. I've found a lot of it comes from frustration of thinking about how this storyline or that title shot should have been done better or more logically, and the game mode is good enough now that actually using it as a booking sim to make things play out differently is a viable alternative. (and you can throw trash cans at Logan Paul's head whenever you want, that's fun too)

We have a new WWE Intercontinental title, and his name is John Cena!

So the night started off with a Triple H and John Cena promo which Dominik Mysterio interrupted, they then had a random match for the title which Cena won, amazingly its his first ever IC title and he is now a grand slam champion. It was a great moment and I don't think it harms Dominik one bit as he is still considered as one of the future stars in WWE.

Elsewhere the men's and women's War Games matches are set, Rusev and Sheamus made it through to the next round of the Last Time Is Now tournament to determine Cena's final opponent, Nikki Bella turned on Stephanie Vaquer.

Thing is with Dom, he characterised as a coniving little 🤬 weasel. So getting wrecked by someone can't really hurt Doms character since that isn't the point of Doms character to actually be equal footing in the ring.

Dom is very much an old school type of heel who's expected to eventually get his comeuppance in a big way, so getting clobbered for shoving his nose in where it wasn't wanted and losing his belt as a result of that arrogance is pretty logical really. It's the classic "🤬 around and find out" scenario.

I mean losing the world title on an injury and roll-up is a time-honored tradition but COME ON THERE'S BETTER WAYS TO GO ABOUT IT THAT DON'T MAKE THE FORMER CHAMPION LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT

Its been reported that Smackdown will go back to three hours in January. :indiff:

I miss the first half hour of the show when I get home, I don't really mind an extra hour. I stay up late on Friday nights anyway :)

Also LA Knight is taking on a mystery opponent in the Cena tournament first round tonight, any guesses?

There is also a mystery opponent in the tournament on Raw as well, taking on Solo Sikoa.

Many people want Jericho, but his contract ends after Cena's gone. He may be a surprise for the Rumble, though.

As for my predictions, I think Knight will take on Vikingo and Solo will have Hendry.

I think Joe Hendry will definitely be one of them, it looks like he is signing with WWE.
