I agree with your opinions about the match, it wasn't great and felt weird and it also felt that the crowd wasn't really into it. It wasn't really a surprise that Cody regained the title but I'm actually getting a bit bored of babyface champion Cody now, Drew McIntyre's title reign lasted for 56 days, right now its Cody v Randy Orton for the title at Mania but that can and probably will change, I think Sami Zayn will be involved now.

There was a nice verbal promo between Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley to start the build for that match off, R-Truth (who is now bald) and Damien Priest won a tag team turmoil match to be number one contenders for the WWE tag titles, There was also a great backstage bit between Miz and Danhausen who has had a great week.

Jordynne Grace injured her right ankle when she landed awkwardly in a match on a Main Event taping before Smackdown last night, we don't know the severity of it yet.

A couple of interesting matches on Raw tonight, Oba Femi v Rusev and Penta defending his intercontinental title against El Grande Americano.

So the WWE title picture does look like a lot clearer now, It is planned that the title match at Mania will be a singles match between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton and not a multi person match, Drew McIntyre is set to face Jacob Fatu but I don't know where that leaves Sami Zayn, one of the original pitches for the title match was a Hell In A Cell match between Cody and Drew which I think could've been really good.

Finn finally turned face, but Judgement Day beat him up after tough-loving Dom.

And Seth pulling a Naruto with all the masked men was kinda funny.

I've seen enough. CM Punk needs to drop the World Title to Danhausen and Roman Reigns needs to lose his contendership to Kit Wilson and the main event will then be Danhausen vs Kit Wilson

Randy Orton turned on Cody Rhodes last night, It was during the main event contract signing segment when Randy hit Cody with a low blow and Cody got 'busted open', there was no RKO but Randy did hit him with a chair shot to the head when Cody's head was on the steel steps.

Its the third year in a row that someone has turned heel on Cody Rhodes in the WrestleMania build up, first The Rock then last year was John Cena and now Randy Orton.

First time is totally understandable, because it's the Rock and of course he's going to put himself into the main event. Second time I'm willing to forgive, because nobody would have expected Cena to turn for no real reason. Third time though, Cody just looks like a schmuck for not seeing it coming. It's really showing how WWE is scrambling to get any kind of interesting main event going.

To be fair to Cody, he must've taken up after his childhood favorite IIRC of Sting
:sly:

edit because AEW Revolution spoilers but
Ronda Rousey showed up, may or may not be All Elite

Pretty interesting Raw tonight, AJ Lee defending the women's IC title against Bayley plus a Brock Lesnar appearance where we could find out his Mania opponent, I'll be stunned if it wasn't Oba Femi.

Even HHH's booking can't fumble this one

It was a great moment when Oba lifted Brock up like that and hit the fall from grace on him.

Both Penta and AJ Lee defended their Intercontinental titles against Dragon Lee and Bayley respectively in good matches, Becky Lynch ambushed and attacked AJ Lee after, CM Punk-Roman Reigns part 3 was good but not as good as the first two IMO, they got the crowd involved more but it got physical for the first time when Punk snapped after Roman called him old and Punk hit him with a right hand. Danhausen cursed Grayson Waller.

"Danhausen 3:16 says 'I cursed your a$$'"
That had me rolling

Little bummed that Austin wasn't there, but still a good show.

From the reaction today Brock/Oba could well overshadow the 2 WM main events

@GTvsForza We don't get the stuff in the ad breaks here but I know that he had a T-Shirt cannon and that when he went to disappear he went the wrong way. I can't wait to see him wrestle now.

A couple of other things too, it looked like Oba Femi cried a real tear just after Lesnar left the ring which shows how much that moment meant to him, Randy Orton had a little segment where he was meant to give Michael Cole an interview but he was on the phone instead saying 'ill see you soon' to someone and then he said that he was a killer and that there was more than on wrestling royal family, finally I noticed that someone had a sign that said 'Ruthless Depression' at the early part of the show but I never saw it again so I guess it got taken away.

Maxxine may be joining The Vision. During one of the backstage segments, Theory was talking to her after her loss to Nattie.

Caveats being the first few TJPW shows were attached to SXSW and prices were cheap but still WWE technically being outdrawn by a relatively niche promotion is kinda funny

Ted Dibiase jr. was found not guilty of his fraud crimes.

He might involved in the Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton feud afterall

I'm thinking that this is to get Rock back into the Cody story. If it isn't Rock, then my second guess is Shane McMahon.

It could be Randy's dad.

Orton will be on the show tonight, both men's and women's tag titles are on the line.

Randy Orton explained that he still loves Cody Rhodes and that it was the voices in his head that told him to attack Cody, he was wearing the blood stained shirt from the attack and he later turned on Matt Cardona who confronted him backstage, Orton called Cardona a mark and an indie stooge hitting him with a cheap shot, later Orton invited Cardona to the ring to apologize but Orton full blown attacked him and took out his left arm with a chair, Orton was seen speaking to someone on the phone again with no clue given as to whom he was talking too, Cody Rhodes wasn't on the show on Friday night.

Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu were meant to have a match but they brawled all over the arena throughout the night which led them to both falling off a high platform outside at the end of the night, This will probably lead to a big stipulation match between the two at Mania, something like an I Quit match I'm guessing.

Damien Priest and R-Truth are new WWE tag team champs in only their third match as a team, they beat Tama Tonga and JC Mateo of Solo's MFTs in a distraction filled match when WYATT SICKS predictably got involved, this feud between the two has dragged on so much and its stupid, they are fighting over a light!

Carmelo Hayes beat Ilja Dragonov in a great US title match.

At this point, I want Danhausen to curse MFT so this feud can end.

The feud between Solo's MFT and the WYATT SICKS has been going on since last summer, it started off well and things were great for a while but like a lot of things in Wrestling it got stale after a while, Solo took the Wyatt lantern from the Uncle Howdy and there has been some back and forth there and whilst I get the significance of the lantern at the end of the day they are fighting over a light, its just stupid and its just gone on for a long time now, both faction have won the tag titles off the back of this so they both got something out of it, Its probably turned into the worst storyline in WWE right now and it has to be ended.

I don't think the stupidity of the feud being over the lanturn is a bad idea in theory, it could've lead to a lot of funny hijinx that occur each week especially given its Solo Sikoa and his comedic timing is untapped potential while he has been miscasted as a serious threat.

The problem is entirely that it's not stupid enough and that its dragged on.

Punk and Reigns has finally escalated with Roman hitting him with a superman punch, a spear and a powerbomb through the announce table.

AJ Lee v Becky Lynch for the women's IC title has been made for Mania which is now in three weeks time, Oba Femi overcame Brock Lesnar again but it wasn't as dramatic as last week, Paul Heyman had Seth Rollins 'arrested' for violating a restraining order against him, ISHOWSPEED was on the show last night but got cursed by Danhausen and the pops for him are getting louder, Finn Balor returned and cost Dom Mysterio is his IC rematch against Penta, this will likely lead to a match between them at Mania or maybe a triple threat for the IC title.

No Gunther again this week and that's three Raw shows in a row he has missed, his Mania plans are unclear.

Gunther was originally supposed to face Rey Mysterio at Mania, but after he got injured (again) that got scrapped.

Unsure if that was going to be Rey's retirement match, unlikely since I've heard that he still has years on his contract.

Cody Rhodes will be on the Pat McAfee show today, it will be the first time we have seen or heard from him since the Randy Orton attack.

If anyone wants to feel old, the last episode of WCW Nitro aired 25 years ago tomorrow. (and strictly speaking the second-to-last episode of WCW content as there was one episode of WorldWide that aired on the 31st)
