Saw it on Saturday. I actually didn't mind it, I thought it was done well. The Rock's performance wasn't too bad, but it was nothing special. The first-person viewpoint I thought was done fairly decently, I was impressed. Through all of the bad reviews it got, I expected a dull, boring action/sci-fi movie, but it surprised me. The only part I found really corny was the name of the young guy - "The Kid". Either way I enjoyed it.

By the way, the main character, "Reaper" looked a lot like JD Fortune from INXS ... well Rock Star: INXS, anyway.

The first hour or so of this, wasn't very good. For a "popcorn" flick there wasnt enough action at all.
But as soon as the Rock started going mental, the film perked up alot & i thought it was great. the FPS mode bit was really good i thought. & it was the most like a "game" i think out of all those game-film adaptions.

But i definately prefer Resident Evil, much better film.

It was cheesy, it's not exactly ment to be oscar worthy material. Its a brainless action "popcorn" flick.

i liked the "Semper Fi mother******" line, twas funny.

This movie came out on DVD last week, have you guys rented it yet? I watched it tonight, I thought it was pretty good. It was like "Resident Evil" meets "Ghosts of Mars". I don't know the actor's name, but I liked their choice of that dude from "Bourne Supremacy" and "Lord of the Ring". OK, that's kind of confusing, let me go search his name.... Karl Urban! Yeah, that was pretty good choice. The Rock's character was little far fetched(between Urban character), but overall, it was a well done Hollywood Action effort. I've never played the video game, but I really enjoyed it. I'd give a "B-". 👍

What can I say, I loved those two movies. I can see why Ghosts of Mars get bad rep, but I thought Resident Evil was actually done right. Actors, sets & design, storyline, I'd give that movie "A-".

a6m5, great taste in movies!! i love Resident Evil & ghosts of mars was pretty good to (precinct 13, but on mars).

And i did actually quite like Battlefiel earth. I have only seen it once and that was on Sky years ago, but i liked it then.

Plus Doom was pretty decent fodder.

I said i QUITE liked Battlefield earth. And to be fair, Quentin Tarintino actually said he likes it too! i'm not saying its an excuse for liking tosh, i just didnt find it as bad as everyone made out.

I support knowone, except me! if i like a film, i say i do, if i dont i say i dont. Play name the bad movie and chance are i like it!
