Montoya. I would never believe he got into this position based on the performance of Williams at the start of the season.

With Williams now so strong, he's got a pretty good chance.

Well I would say I want KR to win it, but he just hasn't had the luck to win it. But I guess we all can't wait and see if he some how pulls it out and wins the WDC. But if he doesn't win it, I would like to see JPM win it over MS. I have now also become a JPM fan, along with already being a fan of KR . . . but with them on opposing teams, how does that work???

Well, considering Schumacher already has 5 world titles, I think a little change is in order. I'd like to see JPM or possibly Kimi win it.

Well I agree change is in order, but I think if Senna would not have had his accident back in '94 . . . MS might not have the number of titles he does (and I definitely don't think he would).

I voted for Michael (as I would) but I have a sneaking suspision that it could be JPM's year

If Montoya wins in Hungary, and he should, he's about there I think. I think Kimi's a little too far back, with a car disadvantage, to be a genuine threat, and Ralf's hurt his chances with the penalty.

Im a big Schummy fan, but I have to say Bridgestone is just not at the same level of Michelin, and that Williams are dominating Ferrari just as much as McLaren, so therefore JPM should win. Specially with Ralf's penalty.

Should - but we're talking about going up against Michael Schumacher here. He is still leading, he has Barrichello in his corner, and Bridgestone aren't standing still. I think it's very evenly poised, with a slight leaning in Montoya's favour...

I say as of right now JPM has the biggest advantage right now . . . the Williams has proven to be very quick and the Michelin's have been great. Williams look all the more impressive when you consider how well McLaren is holding up against Ferrari, especially when you consider the car is basically two years old. I also agree that Kimi is going to have a hard time winning the WDC considering the number of points he is back. He will definitely have to get lucky and both MS and JPM not get very many points. But it going to be great to watch the whole thing unfold, and I can't wait to watch it all.

I also want Kimi to win, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. He's much too far behind, and unless he suprises us all, he's not going to be able to pull it off.

I think MS is going to win. Although he personally isn't my favorite driver, you have to admit he is good at what he does. I have confidence in him and I'm sure he will manage.

Besides, Montoya is probably one of the biggest risktakers out there. He may be a good driver, but I can just see him doing something stupid that will ruin his chances of obtaining the title. I'm sure MS knows this and I bet he's going to use it agaist Montoya somehow. We'll see.

Ralf has also been doing well. If he can get out of his little penalty, than I think he might be able to pull it off. But that seems fairly unlikely.

I'm surprised you think that Montoya should win in Hungary. It's not really a track that suits car or driver (JPM was woeful there last year). Of the four races remaining, I would say that MS is pretty much a shoe-in for Hungary. That then leaves Monza, Indianapolis and Suzuka.

I would think that Monza will be fairly equal, perhaps leaning towards Williams - it depends how far the wick can be turned on that BMW engine. Indy should be a Williams benefit, and Suzuka will be the interesting one. There's no doubting that Schumacher is never anything less than awesome at Suzuka, but I think that with the power of the BMW engine and the new-found aero efficiency of the Williams, this could be a straight title fight harking back to 1998, 1999, and 2000, where Michael and Mika motored off into the distance, making everyone else look like amateurs.

I think that three of the four best drivers, in three of the best cars, are in a position to win it this year - even if things are looking a bit bleak for Kimi. It's been a good-un. Personally I hope Montoya does it. I've been supporting him since he came back to F1, and he's frequently made me look a fool. Hopefully he'll redress that by the end of October.

I agree with you hoping Montoya pulls it out. Kimi is just going to have a hard time pulling in enough points to really catch up. But at least it'll be exciting for the rest of the year for all of this to unfold.
