Explanation for increasing HP

I noticed recently that my F599 '06 increased from 803HP to 822HP after some races without any more tuning from my side.

Does anyone have an explanation for this HP increase?

Cars in real life need to be "run in", maybe the same thing occurs in GT5?

Yes I've heard few people mention the motors get more power as they are broken in.
