Okay. It makes life so much easier when the games have a built in screen capture system. I've tried fraps with some games before but it slows down the game too much when saving the shot.

There's like a half a second pause when taking shots. FRAPS causes slowdown, because it takes a lot of processing power to convert the bmp to jpeg or png right then and there. It's more efficient to use photoshop.
 
OMG Event. That body pile is nasty.

I can't wait to get my new VC, X800GTO2, and get this game. :) I loved the demo. I don't know why, but I love having the living crap scared out of me.
 
I may settle down to some F.E.A.R next week, hoping i finally get time to take some screen shots next week Vip.
 
Vip I finally have tooken a lot of screens. Running most settings on max, and the rest on medium. I am also running the game still in 800x600 with 4x AA.

But Event what screen capture software did you use to take those screens, the only way. I have been able to take screens with is the print screen botton.
 
Running the game at 800x600 is rediculous. You'd get better results by turning the resolution up and some of the other settings down.

I am not turning down some of the graphics settings, i rather have it look more nice in 800x600. Then it look bad on 1024x768 in F.E.A.R.

Ok these 2 screens are for Vip:

- Default brightness in game with out flash light on.
- Brightness put up in photoshop 7.
 
More Screens, running most of the graphic settings on max, with the rest on medium. Got it running on 2x AA aswell.

AGP 256MB GF6800 GT, but if I had a PCI Express card. Then I would have more frames. Don't worry Vip there is a 1024x768 version of that screen coming up.

And I told you i would give you the amount of blood you wanted Vip.

I don't mind taking screens of gore for him lol.
 
Well, lets put it this way... I know the difference between something called REALITY which is real and has consequences as well as amusment or FANTASY of a world that stimulates my interest or imagination. Does that help? :dopey:

In other words I won't go see the Matrix and right after put on a trench coat, grab some guns, and shoot up everyone.

Speaking of this game... I just saw the Underworld DVD I just got with my Senns PX200s and well I think I've instantly got my dose of F.E.A.R. if you know what I mean. :scared: OMFG did they OWN! I didn't think this movie was scary at all but this time with deez bad ass cans I'm afraid they've kicked my ass. :scared: It's about 5:30a.m. and well there's no way in HELL I'm going to sleep anytime soon. All I can say is...

Does FEAR actually look that bad with softshadows off? :odd: Why doesn't ATi play it with softshadows on? (see here) Please no "ATi sucks" comments from the nvidia fanboys... :rolleyes:
 
I would put soft shadows on, but i need to get some better ram. Before I put soft shadows on.
 
Oh man F.E.A.R looks lush with all settings up aswell as 4x AA and 1024x768 res on. Planning to get new screens this weekend Vip.
 
TVR what vid card are you using? i've had F.E.A.R since the day of release cause it looked so cool, but i don't wnat my com to screw up if my com can't handle it, but so far i havn't run into a game i can't boost up to make on my overclock 9800PRO. Will it work on full max?

I am able to watch high res of all those vids, because I am a sponsor of RT. Who made Panics. I still reckon Red Vs Blue is better.
 
Gosh... what can I say loaded the demo and well... I'm at a loss for words literally. I would've posted some screenshots but I had to go to this stupid thing called work. :rolleyes: I was itching to bring this bad boy to work so I could play but it's just unrealistic unfortunately. :grumpy:

All in all wheither it's Softshadows off and a Dvi to Vga adaptor I'm really really really satisfied. :D (can you tell I'm trying to be reserved with this post?) :evil laugh: Bring em on!

FEAR. Press F8 and it sends the screens in bmp format to C:\docs and settings\all users\shared docs\monolith productions\FEAR. Then I used photoshop to batch save them as jpegs.

I just tried that and it worked!! To get screen shots from FEAR just hit the F8 button any time during the game.
I have been messing with the settings but there is just no way my old PC will be able to handle this game.
Did you guys know that if you set the settings to the highest quality then walk in the water, the water creates ripples anywhere you go. The only other game that I have seen do this is Kameo for the xbox 360. 👍
I cant wait to get my new PC so I can play FEAR in the highest settings. I know I will enjoy it a lot more. 👍

CAMAROBOY69 you know I can run everything in high now, so expect to see the same kind of Blood screen i took a screen of. But even better looking then my last screen.
