You are right about the Brabham Alfa Bt 46,and its victory at Anderstorp 78`.I just thought i`d mention that the Team owner was a young Bernie Eccelstone, and the reason he put the fan car on track.
It was stubborn Bernies revenge on Colin Chapman(L-team-owner), that had designed the Lotus 89 sidepodded with rubber curtains that sucked the car to the ground. The car was banned before it raced, but Lotus threw in some of its developments in the following, and Eccelstone got pissed.
The fan car spewed debris into and onto the cars behind, so Bernie knew it would be deamed illegal. What an ass.He couldnt cope with Lotus winning days, and I dont think he misses the controversial team, but we do.
Bring em in GT4, yes the forbidden ones to!

Japanese 4speed manual in GT3- ZZII untrimmed? 💡

Hi there 💡

here are my 2 cents about F1 cars in Gt4:

Sony just got the FIA license right. They're gonna use it to do a couple of Official F1 games and Rack the money up and then they will use it to put real modern F1 cars in GT5 as their license will be about to expire.

Because:

the license lasts about 4-5 years maybe and;

this leads us to 2007 or 2008, wich seems to me a very plausible release date for GT5.

See ya :sly:

That is not the one I found. It is the Lexus IS200 with 4 speeds on the standard tranny.
Are there any more?

I usually watch the Australian GP and maybe the Japanese race but the rest are on TV late at night .

I missed two races last year sadly, both to HSC level tests (Brazil and Canada) but this year I'm going to avenge myself :D Tapes are for sissies :p

The idea about not including F1 cars until the license is about to expire... damn, that's clever. Any GT game is likely to be more enduring than any annual F1 game, it makes so much sense.

Does the F1 licence cover older F1 cars as well?

Does it cover cars by teams that no-longer exist?
(Brabham, Tyrell, BRM, Alfa Romeo, Arrows, Lotus, Eurobrun, Simtek etc - even a Simtek would blow away a Toyota GT1!)

Perhaps it can only cover teams/cars from the past 5-10 years?

It seems as if PD got caught out with the F1 licences with GT3, especially when it came to the PAL euro version.

A Simtek eh? There's a reason against including engine failures.

The license would only cover current F1 cars I imagine - so Bernie can make people pay to make GPL and other such games too.

Thats what i'm saying - does Bernie have a right to licence older F!? or only stuff from his reign?

Before Bernie ran the show, was the FIA/FISA(?) who held the commersial rights to F1?

I'm sure that GPL wouldn't come under his durisdiction would it?

Poor Unclie Harry, I cant imagine a world whitout F1 fri-sun every other weekend.I`m gonna watch Silverstone at German tv tonight, even though Schumi won! The bloody red monotony!Go Kimi, go Webber.

I wouldnt trust Bernie to watch my dog outside the Localshop, he has made F1 nico wreck, and thats where all the problems spire.Williams has non, and I think we maybe could do whitout Cigarettesponsors.Make the cars red green and silver again? No. But something

The GT Apex Shigeno had only four, but that was a"rare" car.And youre right about the Lexus Is200!! 👍

I am making my first official prediction for GT5.

2nd or 3rd quarter 2008. Around August 22, 2008. This will be a Thursday. Around 6:00 AM PST.

The game will be playable on the PS3, but will not be backward compatible with PS2.

That's just out of the blue man, but they usually do come out in the summer though.
I think it will be in October in that same year.

Thanks, that's really useful and relevant 👍 Not to mention accurate since backward compatability is already on the speculative list of PS3 features.

I don't know if there'd be any way to actually find out the reach of Bernie Ecclestone's power but considering just how much he does control and his F1 company, I wouldn't be surprised if it had 'F1' in the title it was related to him.

I meant no one who posted after it (F094/H and Eagle).

Monty, My GT Apex SS had 5 gears as standard when I checked last night.

If they are serious about the driver simulation dogma, they are bound to have Openwheel-wing cars. F1
Uncle Harry: My GT Apex SS also had 5Shifts standard.Youre right.I had to check it.
But all my 190 cars are tuned, so I have been trough some. The four shift gearbox, is thrown out em all! Maybe start the game, Load the 10mill from concept and see what we find. There must be more Japanese fourspeeds.

Imagine the McLaren Mp4-19b in GT4! Thats a proper race machine!

I'm sorry but racing around Nurburgring in those F1 cars, with the DFP wheel and online against 6 other knuckleheads is gonna own and kick 32 flavors of raindbow sherbert ass!!!

I've never heared of raindbow sherbert ;), I was about to welcome you to GTP isamu but then I noticed you've been here since 2001.
