Female Drivers.

Well, I'll agree that the drivers are supposed to look generic and basic. However, I absolutely can't stand Danica Patrick, but she's still pretty talented, and would have won quite a few other races if not for car trouble. She has lots of top tens and she won an Indy race at Motegi....that's only average at best?

She won a (one) race three years ago. Yes that average. I wouldn't say "great" is fitting. Is she better than me? Sure. Probably. I'm just a lowly solo 2 racer. But as far as the rest of her peers are concerned? Average. Which I guess is good... For a girl. (kidding).

I care for one! In fact I even emailed the creator of the mygranturismo.net site to add a gender option in because I was sick of seeing "grrlpurple has x number of cars in his garage" every time I logged in...

It wouldn't have hurt PD to put a female bodyshape in that suit as an option, especially since you can now pose in your suit for profile pictures.

Just because racing is dominated by the male gender does not mean that it has to be exclusively masculine ;)

Even the 'My Chemical Romance' suit in PS Home has the female version. You are right though, it wouldn't of hurt and is fairly simple to incorporate.

And truth be told, I'd probably go for the female character. Not being a woman, I'm getting quite tired at staring at men in racing suites as it is ;)

How about they change "his" to "its"?

Nah, just kidding, But if they've made an option to choose gender at the start of the game that wouldn't have been a problem.

As for "female bodyshape" in the suit options, they could've added it, but there's a lot of flat chested girls out there, one can pretend it's a girl anyway :)

I mean, I'm kinda fat, I don't get the option to make my driver fat :(

(Don't take this post to serious, I'm just having fun & discussing, it's a game after all)

i still think the driver model right now could be male or female. if they enhanced one to look more feminine, ladies would find more to complain about, such as "why does it have to have large breasts" or the opposite. no one is ever going to be please.
 
Now that I think of it, having an option isn't the way to go. I think it should be tied in straight through your PSN. Gets rid of the hassle of the selection and whatnot.

If the Mods find his behaviour needs to be dealt with they will deal with him.

"Nothing happened", how do you know? He might very well have been given a warning.

Where all else fail, IGNORE! that usually solves it, if you don't acknowledge him, he will go away :)

I doubt the debate would rage on that far... unless PSHome opens up a surgeons office :scared:

Theortically though, all it takes to make a "female" avatar in this game is to simply shrink the racing suits. Those MCR suits I said about are just like that, the female's verision is simply a tighter version of the guys.

This is one of the most clueless threads I've ever seen lol I'm female myself, and I don't care about which gender those drivers have, as long as the cars are present. It's a racing game, and I have to stick with the opinion of the majority, the number of female drivers is so little it's not even worth it and many people would try to do funny stuff with an option like that...

Is there any girl or women who is playing gt? Last but not least can you/they drive a clean lap?
I m not racist, just wondering. Maybe you girls drive better than me, who knows :)

This is a battle nobody and even more importantly no women actually care about.

Anyway as said before there is no way of telling if the drivers in GT5 are female or not which is probably a move by PD to avoid idiotic arguments like this, if you are going down the road of "we must add females and males" then why not ad trans-gender and hermaphrodites ?
