Every time I drive this f1 car I lose the back end around corners and I can't seem to keep up with the other f1 drivers in the seasonal I turn the asm on and it helps but I would like to know if anyone has a helpful tune or driving advise for me thanks

Throttle control. Don't just jam it on in a lower gear in corners, gradually press the throttle and don't depress it fully until you're basically pointing in a straight line.

there's a bunch of tunes in the tuning forum

Edit - I tuned my FGT after trying over 7 different setups in the tuning forum, ended up with a slightly altered one for my own. I'll post it when my Bob has finished Nur 4hr. May not be the fastest-lap-time tune, but I find it easy to get consistant lap times as the car feels very stable to me.

This is the one and only car I use skid recovery force for and I have no problems controlling it afterwards. The car's fictional anyway, so I don't feel bad about using SRF.

It's based on a real world car and very much possible though.

I used the Ferrari F10 suspension tune on it,left the ride height at 0, and set the dif to 5/10/5. It's still squirly when you get on it too early, which doesn't really matter because all cars will do that.

OK my setup

ride height -5/0
springs 18/16
damp ext 8/8
damp comp 8/8
anti roll 7/7
camber 3/1
toe -0.05/-0.05
LSD 15/30/30
downforce 70/90 (max)
brakes 7/4
trans - varies by track

There's probably a few minor changes I could make to LSD, camber, toe but honestly after messing with it for ages I'm happy to leave it as is. However, this tune doesn't work in the wet. I need to look for wet setups. Like I said though there are a number of tunes in the tuning forum and it looks like different people prefer different driving characteristics. You need to find a setup that suits your driving style.

Also remember to be gentle on the throttle exiting corners and very gentle on the brakes if you trail brake into corners (it's easier to to just back off acc/brake if you need to lose the last 5% speed though). Being smooth is the key to the FGT - that and it changes direction slowly (S-bend).

Is f1 2011 pretty hard?

The cars in the game are similar to the FGT in that you have to control the throttle or you will lose the rear. I used to think it was really hard driving the Peugeot 908 and Audi R10 in GT5 because of their power, until I played F1 2010 for a while. When I came back to GT5 those cars just seemed 'normal'. :)

throttle control, correct, when turning lift gradually, partial throttle,
then accelerate gradually and when straight give it all you got,
have fun

I race the FGT online and i found a ride height of 0/8 helped ME sort out MY spinning problem, the spring setting i used was 18.5/19.2..mt diff setting is 60/5/5,weird but it works for me...warning:i am not a tuner but this helped me

Getting this car in a spin feels so heavy and uncontrollable it's almost exciting.

I love the FGT and wish there were more online rooms that run them. The fact that there are so many different liveries, could really lead to some great looking racing. I have 4 FGT's for this reason.
Yes...the secret is to be gentle with the throttle but also, the car tends to be unstable under heavy braking and it's important to brake in a straight line and be completely off the brakes before you turn in. Something which can help though is to set your brake balance to 6/0. Completely remove the brake from the rear(although this is only a balance and you will still be using some rear braking).

Another tip:-I struggled to get to grips with the car until the engine limiter was introduced to the game(sorry sim). Use the limiter to turn the power all the way down to below 500, I find 490bhp very nice. This will make the car so much nicer to drive and again, can make for some really good racing. This will help you to master the car and as you increase the BHP again in steps on 100, you'll easily find the new limits to driving the car.

If you are getting really squirrly on a RWD car like the FGT - trying adding toe-in to the rear. That will make the car more stable when getting on the throttle coming out of turns.

I think my FGT tune runs front toe OUT of -0.35 and rear toe IN on +0.20.

try these setting on FGT

i have been using these settings forever. got them from ReikoNagase and they work like a treat

Downforce: Front 70 Rear 90

Transmission: Top Speed: 390KM/H - 242 Miles pr hour (adjust depending on track ie increase for Oval vs decrease for Monaco)

LSD: 15/45/55

Suspension
Height: 5/5 (10/10 for Bumpy)
Spring Rate 17.4/17.5
Dampers E 8/8
Dampers C 6/6
Roll Bars 7/7
Camber Angle F 2.0 R 1.0
Toe Angle F 0.00 R -0.20

Brakes: Brake balance 4/1

no aids except abs 1

only advice, is practice and keep the following in mind
- if you spin out = giving too much throttle in or coming out of corner. don't mash pedal to floor but rather do it progressively
- brake in a straight line before entering corner or you will lose car balance

I know what you mean, i gained so much more throttle control from that game.

All great advice.
It's a gradual learning curve, start off slow, get used to the car, and try going a little quicker every time you are feeling more and more confident. Practice practice practice, is the nest advice you will get.

The settings i posted are for online,i forgot to mention. Why dont you guys think of joining the fgtc in the forum,i race and if you have the time its a big test, much harder than any a spec race.

Dont get on the throttle until your wheel is straight

= now you know how to drive every car in the game. enjoy.

I'm amazed no one messes with the damper settings. Dampers make a HUGE difference in turn-in, sustained cornering, and exit.

Adjusting toe will solve the problem but it will also burn up the rear tires unnecessarily.

I'm assuming you're losing the car once you've exited the corner and begun to apply throttle. The FIRST thing I would do is make the first 3 gears quite tall, 1st and 2nd set to as tall as it will let you. Turn down the rear bound/compression setting in the suspension menu. This will allow weight to transfer to the rear much easier. If you've gone more than 3 clicks down and it isn't enough then start softening the rear anti-roll bars.
