Fifa 13 *FUT Tips in OP!*

I did try a bit of Ultimate Team in Fifa 12.

But I never really liked it, and felt it was wasted money on the packs.

Might try Ultimate Team on Fifa 13, but won't be paying real money for the packs.
 
I've got on fine on FIFA 11 and FIFA 12 without buying packs with real money. I just trade in the market and make coins, buying for a small price, selling for a bigger, easy money!

I'm really looking forward to career mode, it looks amazing from what I have seen. However, in past FIFA's I have never been a fan of career mode as I find it hard to play against the AI, but I feel this time it will be different!

You don't have to put any money at all into FUT to get 20,000 coins. 20,000 coins is maybe like a weeks worth of standard play on FUT. Win 30 Online matches and you get 20,000 coins or more just from that.

If you have the patients. Buy the Bronze 400 coin packs. Then just sell the players in them. You can usually make a 400 or sometimes more profit.

I usually end up putting some real money for packs just because I like to see if I can get a rare player every now and again. I know some people who buy a ton of packs and pay money to get coins traded to them from people who sell their coins. I think it's like $10 for 100,000 coins. Which really isn't a bad deal as you can get a killer team for 100,000 coins. Not to mention and in form card or two.
 
What kinds of online matches? So far, I've not seen a way to play a single match at all. It's all seasons/tournaments on and offline.

I don't know for FIFA 13 but in FIFA 12 FUT you just click Play Match > Single Match > Online and bam. I'd assume it would still be in FIFA 13. If it wasn't it would be a pretty big hit. I would suggest playing online though. For winning you can get anywhere from 650-1100 coins. Even for losing you can get anywhere from 350-500.

I always play career mode in the Fifa series, and sure will in this one too. :dopey:


It's one of the few things that will never change. A good singleplayer mode. :)

Loving the game so far, Started my career and bought Neymar, Lucas, Hummels and Welliton. I like the new transfer interface and counter offer mechanic. The catalogue is pretty cool, Theres plenty of extra boots (Im eyeing up the whited out F50's for my pro:)), and even better are the Vintage Jerseys even though there are only English and german ones there so far, You can bet they will add some Spanish or Italian jerseys in the future. In my first game (friendly) i beat fiorentina 5-1 in the Bernabeu, Wich i was pleased with. Then it was Borussia Munchengladbach in the next game, Ozil scored two very smart goals and ronaldo scored a missile of a freekick. But next is my greatest test so far!.......

At home to Norwich City :lol:, Then i got Barca in the super cup.

I havnt touched any online modes yet, Just want to get a feel for the game, But i will in good time.

Ultimate Team is making me play of Professional.. This is going to be an issue if this persists, I want to play my :censored:ing game I paid $60 for the way I want to.

What do you mean? Are you just playing a Pro tournament? They are varying difficulties. Or is it something else?

On another note, The King Fahd Stadium is great, Looks awesome in game.
 
It was a single player season, I started off 3-0 winning by one or two goals each game. I go to play the fourth game, the only options that appear are Professional through Ultimate. I obviously lose, then the next game it lets me go back to Semi-Pro.. so freaking stupid.
 
So, the FIFA Team specific covers came out today... not at all happy with the Chelsea or Newcastle United versions.

Chelsea has Lampard, Hazard and Torres (Left to right). Wait what? Yeah you read that TORRES. Why does the waste of too much money make the cover when they could have put on so many great players. Like idk... Petr Cech. Who has worked his ass off as probably one of the best Keepers in the world. And has been there since 2004...

Newcastle has Cisse, Cabaye and Coloccini. I personally think that Ben Arfa should have made that cover over Cisse. Cisse has been horrifically bad this year.

Why you so strange EA.

Skills games are fun, will be wasting many an hour, I think.

Though I can't work out how to flick it over the bigger bars in the dribbling skills games, ideas? I can get Messi to run it back up off his heel by pulling right analogue towards and then away, but it always hits his back.

Click down R3 or Hold L2 and flick R3 3 times in the direction your facing. I do the R3 hop method though, Seems easier to judge.
 
So now I have my copy of FIFA 13 now for myself. Went and bought some FIFA points in UT, but the only truly good player I got in any pack was Sergio Ramos...though he does look like he goes for a lot.

Now though I'm currently doing my career mode with Spartak Moskva. Building up my team to good things.

Sergio Ramos is probably one of the best Defenders in the game. He will sell for a ton of coins! That is really lucky to get that in a pack. Best thing I've ever gotten was an Edin Dzeko.
 
Loving the game so far!

Started a career mode with Brighton & Hove Albion, signed a few decent players. Won my first league game 3 nil against Charlton. I'm playing on professional aswell but I might put it up after my first season.

Ultimate team is good fun however I only played 2 games as the servers were playing up. I won my first game and got the win, but in my second game I won 4 nil and got disconnected from the EA servers after the game had finished and it counted as a loss... So I'm refusing to play it until I know that won't happen.

Anyway best get back to my career mode!

That would cost me about the same price as the game. So 120 dollars is just way out of my hands. Shipping things from the US into Japan is just ridiculously priced.

Getting sick of jerks who act like winning at this crap is actually a helpful life skill, I envision some twelve year old kid that hasn't left his house in a year laughing at someone who can't do five star skill moves in any situation. I wish you could be paired with someone who wouldn't run your face into the dirt every game.

Wouldn't ya know it, as soon as I actually put a good game together Ultimate Team crashes in the NINETIETH MINUTE :banghead: arrrhggghh

It isnt just down to the stats, If it was the game would be boring. The other thing isnt just a problem on FIFA, Theres idiots everywhere nowadays online, on all games. Although i would agree with you that FIFA seems to have more than a fare share of them though.:lol:

Well the thing is I wasn't getting beat by skill moves, etc, I was getting my defenders beat by runs.. I mean the whole point of better chemistry is to eliminate that, especially when its against a team of the worst players ever assembled with no chemistry.

And its awesome of them to do it on a Friday night when some people have free time..

Yeah, I least want to be able to go get beat by those jerks if I feel like it. I mean how much ingenuity does it take to do this on a Tuesday at 6 AM British time/1 AM US time when no one is on? This harshed my mellow..
