I rather have Sony fix the DLC issues than give us new cars(not entirely new actually). Sony is ruining Gran Turismo with their marketing BS. Come on Kaz, I know you can do it and convince those greedy bastards to change GT5's DLC to the old policy.

On my phone at the moment so was going to have a proper look through the thread when I get on the computer at home but just thought I'd ask
 
So, are the races going to be pushed back a week? I'm starting to think not too, why not start "early"? But it is all up to you after all.
 
They will be yes, I just haven't figured out yet how I'm going to modify the schedule graphics without making them look like crap. ;)

The way this car is is exactly how I thought PD would make it, with stupid amounts of aero. What I didn't except was for the rear aero to be so much more than the front.

Tried the car with sport softs and it was boring. Understeery, as you can except when the default aero for the car is 15 on the front and 40 on the rear :rolleyes:. Why is it so high? So I tried sport mediums and the only corners around GVS Reverse where my back end stepped out a little (without actually physically trying to make it step out) was the cambered hairpin which is difficult to take in any car, and the last corner which is also slightly cambered and slippery.

Sport hards are too far for this car, but I definitely think mediums are a good compromise. Anyone else who has the miata/mx-5 agree with me on this?

Also, for anyone who didn't know, brake balance can still be changed when tuning is set to prohibited.

I'd be up for sport mediums. The PP level of this car isn't much higher than last season's spec car, and this car has downforce. I guess we'll really just have to wait until everyone has the car before we pin this down.

Great news on the tuning lockdown 👍 now we can use our practice time for driving, not tuning.

I have the original with all the layers, but not the original background pictures. I may just put a black box over the old date and put the new one over the top. I'll get them edited by tonight.
 
Races pushed back? Awesome. This lets us Div. 1 Integra guys race in the first race now :)

If I may ask, what program are you using to make your graphics and such?
 
Alright so I'm not sure whether I can race in this series considering this whole DLC episode. Thankfully they're going to make it available for all accounts as it should have been in the first place, but I'm going to have to wait until December for that. So unless the host can set everyone to use the MX-5, even people who don't have the DLC (someone please clarify?), I could be out of this.

There is one other viable option which is to use my master account, however the PSN name I have for it is ridiculously embarrassing, thanks to my cousin who can't spell for 🤬 :dunce:

Pretty sure everyone would be stuck with the same color/number, and the car would have to be on the recommended list. (which it probably isn't)
 
Maybe a third Division for those who don't have the DLC? So they could race at a similar time, just with the previous season's spec Miata. (Throwing things out there) I think it would be better to just stick with the required DLC to participate thing.

Yeah, annoyed me quite a lot considering I paid a lot of money thinking the DLC would be on all accounts (Which is what it said on the terms and conditions), and I was only able to buy it on that master account as my others are sub-accounts and for some stupid reason you can't put money on them.

Oh I thought you had like a region conflict(PAL copy not working with NTSC DLC for example). The users issue will be solved in the December update, so you will be good. Just gotta wait a while.

Feel sorry for those who have different region settings, according to PD there is nothing they can do, but that is just an insult to those who've already paid for the DLC. I should think that they get compensation immediately.

Yeah, its sad that the region conflict cant be solved. At least everything else will. Oh and we will be able to buy as many DLC cars as we want from the dealerships :) I was so happy reading that.

Is this actually how it works? I seriously don't know. Does the host's connection impact all the other cars' connections?

In the final race of the first Integra season one person (not the host) left their torrent client running (downloading via p2p) and they lagged the whole race, knocking other people off the track. Although, no one else had their connection effected.

Yes it is.
If you read the help text a normal game is p2p where everyone is a client and server sharing the game data load. This is where one bad connection can bring down everyone's game quality.

When you click fixed host it puts the game in a traditional client/server star topology.

Where the host is in the middle and all clients talk directly to the host and only the host. You need lots of upload to do this. (> 2 Mbps)
