I have no doubt that the first race will be a full house, however.
 
Am I correct to assume this will be run using the new DLC Miata TC?

You know I skimmed the OP 5 times looking for specs, never stopped on that notice. :lol:

I was going to wait undecided on DLC but this couldn't look much better, and a just about perfect time for me too. I'd hate to wait and find it filled up. :scared:

If the color name leaves you wondering it's the lime green from the Murcielago. :)

Even though I don't have the DLC yet, a few people do in their foreign lands...so I could in theory take pictures of their cars, and let you R1600 (or I could mock something up too...) work on those images of those cars for the little "driver thumbs"? Not to just dump a whole bunch of them on you next week? I thought it was a good idea, anyway, needs some organizing. Haha.

You can join a lobby using the track with the DLC all you'd have to do is save the replay.
 
I know how to do it. I'm just asking R1600 if he would like that, and also for organization purposes. Because...I have to actually join the room with the right people. Haha.

That works for me. I'd rather start getting some of the European drivers done now so that there's less to do before we actually start. Everyone will have to keep in mind though, once their photo is sent to me to create those driver graphics, they are stuck with the paint colors that they have.

Edit: Can someone click the facebook link in the first post and tell me if it takes you to the right page?

Turbo how do you want the photo just like a side shot of the car on track ?

I can definitely make a mock up in PS. I'll just use RT's car graphic and try my hand at coloring it yellow. You can go ahead and do it too longbow, it'll probably end up nicer than mine 'cause I just plan on using the color changer brush and selective color.

Spyhunter was a big part of season 1 and sort of fell off the map. Him coming back along with a few more old faces really makes this series a reunion in a sense.

I apologize in advance if the above photo wasn't a final product but merely a sample shot to ask Turbo if the angle was correct.

Everyone in the series really appreciates your willingness to contribute to FMSC, but I wanted to offer a few simple things you can do to improve your photo. I know these are just going to be used as icons for the drivers and don't need to be of the highest quality but a good final product starts with good resources.

  • The camera type or shot type by default is set to "Type 1", you will need to change this to "Type 2" for the types of shots you intend of taking. This will help to bring the car into focus.
  • You should be cognizant of where the sun is located in relation to the object you are shooting. If the sun is behind the object it will produce shadows in the foreground which darkens the focal point and should be avoided.
  • I am assuming you are already aware of the importance of both f-stop and ISO.

I am by no means an expert but I have spent a fair amount of time in GT5's photo mode, as well as, trying my hand at amateur motorsport photography IRL.

Thanks for helping the series out and sorry, again, if the photo you posted was simply a sample to ensure the angle was correct.

What I would also say, is that if people do want me to take their pictures....let me know when you're available for something brief. Only need a lap or so! The only reason why I think that one person should take them is that the images would all look similar in style, as I will edit them slightly. I think I'm going to do a design mock-up today too, an alternate...just with the normal Miata 'cause I don't have the DLC yet, obviously.

In my haste, I spelled cognizant wrong. It simply means mindful or aware.

Basically you just want to make sure the featured side of a vehicle is not in the shadows. If you look at your photo you can see that the driver's side of the car is very dark in relation to the car rest of the car. This can be good at times but typically it is something you should try to avoid.

Ok m8 thanks for the pointers, I'll try improve my photo and If it still doesn't look great. If longbow or your self is doing a few people's to improve the consistancy of everyone's photo's then let me know and I'll jump in the replay as well.

But we'd like 'em to be! And I mentioned before, I shot this Viper Series I did, and the shots you will find here: CLICK. That provides a good idea of the shots in general I will take during the series. Maybe better.

And I took this, of a normal Miata. But I'm going to take one where the background is less cluttered... I just ran out of time then.

You should try the GT japanese 006-C chip that came with the DLC, I've not used it but It looks very similar to the blue in that pic.

Is there anyone in either Division that is not 100% sure they can make all the races and wouldn't mind giving up their spot?
