And I took this, of a normal Miata. But I'm going to take one where the background is less cluttered... I just ran out of time then.

like can we drive any miata like the old version to the new version or just one specific type of miata

Hahaha. They're not that good but I would say that some of it is knowing how a camera functions (the virtual one functions similar, with a little less control in some places, more in others) and then a little tweak in Photoshop, just to make it bolder and perhaps play the the colours a tad. That's about it.

I fear I may have contributed to the confusion, but it was only illustrating the possibilities with the thumbnails since I don't have the DLC and no one was available to "pose" at that time. Oh well.

No posing really needs to be done. A simple photograph of them in motion during a replace like the one you already posted is more than enough. They don't need to be too complex, I just need photos of all the cars at the same angle in motion with good lighting so you can see the colors thoroughly. 👍
 
Oh I know! I was just saying that the reason I was using the other Miata in those shots was that no one was around when I was experimenting with how the the driver thumb could look (and could have contributed to biohazard's confusion). That's all.

but then how would you do anything?

They make ones that aren't cards. You can get one on a USB dongle for plugging into a laptop. But without a computer... maybe some crazy expensive hardware from Avid; but that would be severe overkill.

yep... I was right. You can always count on Avid for having a crazy expensive piece of gear to ingest video+audio.

I use an HD-PVR, hooks up to the computer through USB. Do you mean a good capture device that doesn't require a good computer? If so then that works well as the processing of the video capturing is all done in the box as.

Looking to make some legit videos?

I just chose one that I thought looked the best, I didn't realize he wasn't registered until after. But I have the other guys who were in the room too, of course. It was just an example, anyway. Sometimes it's hard to get them, if there are other cars around and such. But I have two replays to pull from at the moment.
 
I figured out which font I used at work for the template, so I'm going to download that font at home tonight so I can start putting these things together. So if those drivers are happy with their colors, then I'd like to get started on these as soon as possible.

I also made a new temporary banner for the front page out of one of the pictures on the previous page. Will finish it tonight and get it posted up.

Yeah, you're going to just need one of the USB ones.
There's several out there they're like ~$30-50 depending on features.
They just use the analog outputs on the ps3 (svideo or the composite rca).

Which is probably actually what you'd want if you're using a netbook... since the hardware does the encoding and it supports 1080i

Thanks. I think another problem would be getting the software onto my netbook, since it doesn't have a CD drive.

Edit: This would mainly be for use at the end of the season, so I do have some time to maybe look for a used laptop or something should I magically find some money somewhere. :lol:

Can't wait to get the DLC! Went into two separate rooms tonight looking to do some laps at Spa, and both rooms had some d*ck that had nothing better to do than to ram me off the track. 🤬
 
I can't wait either! I was in a room at Spa for about 2 hours and nothing went bad. Great host and everything. :)

Those Miatas look better every time I see a new picture of them. What I want to know, is what they sound like! :drool:
 
Was eventually successful. Even had the room to myself long enough to do some 2 lap races and save the replays. :)
 
I do like the new banner as well (even if it was just a shot I took for fun!), it's nicely laid out. And also likely prophetic of the frequent 4-wide situations that will occur the series. :lol:

I'll take some more shots today, anyway. Since I have time to do so. And I suppose give you some of the car/driver thumbs...what kind of size are we going for?
