All fonts are acceptable as long as they're used in the correct context.

There is no correct context for Papyrus or Comic Sans... you use them just once in your life and move on.

Verdana rocks.

I have always supported Verdana (for presentation), Arial (for notes, constant size letters are useful) and

Informal Roman

Please don't send helicopters!

And I detest Times New Roman!

Cool, guess Im doing something right :) I used Comic Sans WWWAAYYYYY back when I was like 12 and just starting to chat on the Sierra Network AGES ago.... Since then never used it again...

-edit: Come to think of it... It wasnt the Sierra Network... it was on mIRC... :P

How can you hate Times New Roman and use Arial? Blegh.

Anyway, I just replaced both of them with H&FJ Gotham and Mercury.

imagine my horror to find my photography for a primary school featured on their prospectus with not only no type variation, but entirely covered in comic sans throughout.

Ugh... just realized something about Gotham:

Obama already established his brand in it.

Now I have to re-do our company logo in other fonts so we're not seen by the subconscious as associated with him. But, again, it just shows how truly awesome Gotham is.

lol are people that lame that theyd consider a company to be politically swayed purely by its typeface
makes me glad our agency tends to focus on intelligent markets :dopey:

"I would love to go there, but they use Gothic and I don't like Obama"

Sadly, I could see someone saying that.

Times New Roman is just so... so... Liberal. To hell with you, Microsoft!

No, but there is the connection in the back of their minds. They won't be aware of it unless they see them next to eachother or something and then they'll go, "Ooooooooh! Wow, these guys weren't very original if they just copied Obama's font." Know what I mean? It takes away some of the impressiveness/exclusivity of an identity, especially since it's one that Obama has owned so well.

Gotham. Like Batman.

Everywhere I go I'm seeing H&FJ fonts pop up. Jamie Oliver's show uses Verlag, for example. The title is Verlag and the credits are Verlag Condensed.

Where do you find all this stuff!!!

I like that the last question before before Comic Sans is "Are you alone?"

EDIT: Even my sense of humour has been tree'd!

In between porn, photos of kittens, and photos of Lego Star Wars scenes, typography is probably the single most shared topic on Tumblr. That flowchart has come up on my blogreel a million times in the last two weeks.

Speaking of which, what type/graphic/design blogs do you folks follow?

http://mintyy.tumblr.com/ is my favorite :sly:... :scared:

I <3 Comic Sans, it looks so lush for the funny comments on cute kitty photos

I use Arial for most things, think I need to broaden my font knowledge!
