Even with a safety car, Norris needs to finish 6th and Max has to finish 2nd while Oscar wins the race to win the WDC.
This is unlikely.

Only scenarios where this can happen is.
Lando gets a +5s penalty for exceeding track limits and a safety car get depolyed at lap 55 or so or Norris crashes.

piastri should clear Russell for 4th after his pit and that’s enough to protect Lando
 
Does Piastri still have a set of Softs? Considering the time he's losing to Max, it almost looks like he's trying to extend the Hards to go on Softs at the end.

There would be no benefit to running soft tires more than 3 or 4 laps.

No new ones. He has one new set of mediums I believe.

If he's behind Norris, he will do nothing other than to block Leclerc and Russell.
 
Mclaren and Norris racing Leclerc, not Max. Covering off 3rd place.

Oscar better pit soon since he is losing 1s per lap.
1s is not a small amount in any car, but its worse in an F`1.

Norris should not have to pit again. If he does pit again, McLaren has fully grabbed the contender label for Ferrari strategy.

The only one in range is Leclerc, if he pits then they have no reason not to cover him with the only risk a tyre not being bolted on correctly.
