Hi

Forza 6 Vs Forza 5 - McLaren P1 @ Laguna Seca - Graphics & sounds Comparison

Thank you....

I have a request:
How about Brands Hatch with the BMW Z3 FM6 Vs P Cars

Would you also consider comparing the audio, P Cars does not seem to have proper stereo.
FM6 clearly uses very good L/R directional positioning yet P Cars while having good audio effects seems like dual mono. Example put a cars left wheels off track on P Cars why are they heard on the right channel, mmmmm.

For those looking for bargain cars

Forza makes project cars look extremely average side by side. And it sounds better too.
I get the exact opposite from the video. I prefer PCARS' audio sampling. I've been to plenty of real world races and what PCARS has is much more like real life.

I find it interesting that you can see the difference on how each games simulates turn in. PCARS looks completely planted throughout a corner, whereas with Forza you can see that there's always a small amount of slip in a turn (e.g. the car is angled left, but is still pushing forward on its original trajectory).

As it should be because that 2 tons of steel body still wants to keep going forward. 6th grade physics.

No, it's a Roxio that I got last year.

Ah, I would suggest check out some settings online for it as it looks like the picture is a bit washed-out.

Other then that, it's great!

Thanks, I figured that the picture wasn't all the best and I actually have been checking for settings online, but I'm still having a hard time getting the picture right. I guess I should keep checking.

Currently processing up to 1080p60

Ford GT at Le Mans at night.

After barely making it the first time at the end of the straight I decided to slow down in advance afterwards. This was recorded using a Thrustmaster TX and I used the T8HA shifter this time.

My second FM6 type video. It'll have the same color flaw as the Shelby GT350, but everything else should be fine. I think my problem was that I was playing with the color and only looking at my TV when I should have looked at the small monitor on the capture window.

Lotus E23 at Monza: (Still processing to 1080p60)

of course personal preferences win,
but there are objective sound quality measures, and by using this forza sound design is much more advanced.
be it sample quality, stereo/3d projection, channel splitting etc

to me, pcars sounds like a mic recording using a first generation gopro, mono sound samples full of distortion.
it does sound very loud though, and I guess I understand the appeal to some.

I'm hoping Digiprost will look into what I have noticed with P Cars audio since release and do future comparison.
I havn't played it since release month (was awaiting patches/bugs fixed) but still believe that games audio does not properly attribute stereo positional effects. Is it PS4 related, I doubt it?

Please by all means test this with headphones yourselves, I will have to relook at it on PS4 again too.

Do agree that FM6 in the video the audi seems more reactive to the track (going up eau rouge) it seems to dip move more and the back ends slides a little.

I race a 2003 BMW M5 on the Lime Rock Park circuit in Forza Motorsport 6. Drivatars ar set to expert.

In these races I drive the 1971 Lotus Elan Sprint.
The first race is at the Monza Short circuit where i race 6 laps against unbeatable drivatars.
The second race is at the Bernese Alps Club circuit, against unbeatable drivatars.
In both races i start in 18th place.

In part 2 of E Class racing, i race my 1971 Lotus Elan Sprint on the Brands hatch circuit in the wet, and the Catalunya School Circuit.

I don't disagree with T10's audio capture quality being much higher, but it doesn't translate into the same noise you get from PCARS. I'm not basing any of this on loudness, but instead accuracy. As I mentioned, I've been to plenty of races in the flesh and what PCARS sounds like is a much closer representation of what you would hear in person - in particular the sounds from the car. If I could properly record what it sounds like coming from my sound system, you would see where I'm coming from.

I don't really have a decent pair of headphones to test with, but I'll be honest, I never really noticed positional effects on my 5.1 system. I wouldn't be surprised that it's not working as intended.

In this episode i race at Spa in the rain, and at the circuit of the Americas.

edit: p.s. AI to a minimum, I recorded the video only to show the internal view with the rain.
