Horizon Tour is still bugged. All four of mine are marked complete for this Series already, and although I completed all four last Series manually I didn't get the Accolade for it.

Good stuff.

Edit: WTAF, just had the Accolade for completing all four Tours in one Series ping at random in free roam... without doing any Tours yet this Series!
Atleast you didn't have to do it

No worries mate. I've seen some traffic coming to one of my videos from here, looked around. Seen people asking for advice multiple times on things I have covered, figured it may be worth sharing. Like, there are screenshots just above with 2-stars on story chapters, for which I have easy guides.

So I spent a good chunk of time putting together a full list of guides and tutorials, nicely organized and formatted for convenient use. Thinking was - if it's not interesting for people, it'll just die off as it happens on the forums. Didn't mean to break your rules at all.

I understand now it's not needed and not welcome. Your place - your rules. No grudge about it.
I sub to your channel, It has been very informative and helpful for working out certain things in the game and especially for showing good tunes to use on Trails. Just know that I and hopefully some others know who you are and like your stuff and appreciate what you do. 👍

Thanks RYAN, my pleasure! There seem to be some more difficult trials further in the series, so I'll be ready with good car/tune combination for everyone to use.

Great, Your Gymkhana Focus RX RS video helped me out on last weeks Trail a bunch. Made it easy 👍

I didn't have much time with the XJ13 before I had to go to work, but I did manage to race it in the Goliath. What a fun car. Just a delight to drive.

We really are getting spoiled with the Car Pass cars coming up the next few weeks. This is awesome, And then the XJ220 TWR and FXXK Evo😍 (Well not spoiled really as we payed for them but you know what I mean) 😄

I am trying to figure out why they included Wuling Hongguang S in the game file.
Of course, this is only a texture file found at the moment. It has not been confirmed that this strange MPV will be added to the game.
But at least the inclusion of such files would be evidence that they are creating data for this car.

I came up with a few theories.

1: There are plans to release a spin-off for the Chinese market.

Today, China is a huge market. But they are also a country governed by strict rules that differ from those of the West.
MS wants to get money from them, but it will probably be difficult to release FH5 in China as it is.
Therefore, they are probably planning to release a China-specific FH spin-off to fit the Chinese censorship.
Models like the NIO EP9 and the Wuling Hongguang S could be made for that purpose.

2: For Wuling marketing?

Not surprisingly, Forza has had several free DLCs in the past that served as marketing for car manufacturers.
And in recent years, Chinese car brands have been looking to market their cars more aggressively outside of China.
Using a popular game called Forza Horizon to promote their cars to a large number of players outside of China is certainly a smart idea.

3: Collaboration with Top Gear and other TV shows?

Let's take a look back at Forza in the past, when Suzuki Liana, Kia Cee'd, Vauxhall Astra TGE and some other unusual cars joined the game for a collaboration with Top Gear.
We haven't seen any collaboration with them in FH5 yet, but perhaps a future free update or expansion will bring back their partnership and Hongguang was chosen as the car to be included in it.
However, from what I've seen on Imcdb, this car has yet to appear in Top Gear...

4: Expansion 1 is set in China.

It is most unlikely, but just in case.
The community has always wanted Japan as a location for FH. However, the elements that the community is looking for in Japan, a map that includes a large city and a mountain pass...would be difficult to achieve with the Xbox One specs.
However, small, independent maps like expansions may be a possibility.
And like Blizzard Mountain, Storm Island, Hot Wheels, and Lego, many of the past expansions also served as tests for features to be added to future Horizons.
We already know from the nvidia leak that the expansion 1 codename is "Nightlights".
From this name, many players are expecting an expansion that includes cities, maybe this expansion is mainly cities inspired by regions like Hong Kong and Shanghai as a test to implement a map that includes large cities in FH6.

Loved the trial, got an easy 45 points this evening in total, done for the week but I'll be back to do a few bits here and there while I wait for the next lot. Always good to have a few extra points in the bag.

Wuling Hongguang is more like a "iconic" car in China, it was mainly used as small commercial vehicle, but there are some videos of people drifting it or racing it, which made it the "performance car for poor people" or "Chinese AE86". There is even a video of it racing against Toyota AE86 in Japan. It is no surpring that it will be added into Horizon 5, since there are rumors about adding Chinese Manufacturer into the game before its release, but we were expecting Lynk & Co. or NIO which were more of performance manufacturers.

The Jaguar XJ13 is actually good for a-class. Can't say anything for s1-class as i haven't test it yet.

For a-class road racing, swap the original tires for rally tires to race in dry & wet conditions, then switch the default gearbox to sport. Then decide if you want to invest the remaining PI on rear tires or power.

For a-class dirt racing, swap the drivetrain to all-wheel drive and switch the standard 6-speed gearbox to 10-speed. Switch the original tires to offroad tires and fit the widest rear tires available. Lastly, invest the remaining PI on power.

The spin off is most likely I think, a special release of FH5 through their local game client/store with some extra local cars.

DiRT 4 did a similar thing for their China release through WEGame that included 2 extra cars from BYD (a different China manufacturer).

Okay... I have decided to dig through the files (which were unlocked for some reason, when it comes to the textures) with curiosity and found a lot of wheel and badge texture files. Included in these files are all of the cars mentioned in the leaked list (https://www.gtplanet.net/new-forza-horizon-4-files-leak/) 2 years ago, all the cars present in Horizon 4 and Motorsport 7. Where in the directory did you find these? I went through a bunch of the folders and did not see these

All of these were already known and I’m pretty sure they’ve been posted in this thread at one point or another. There’s probably about 20-30 more that aren’t on this list either, like the 2003 Ford Lightning and 1989 Thunderbird SC.
As a lover of American cars from the 80's and 90's, I hope the 1989 Thunderbird SC doesn't end up in the unused content.

Wait... The Thunderbird SC's coming to FH5??? Where exactly are these cars mentioned in the game's files?

Here's where I found the wheel textures:

media\cars\_library\Textures\ao_wheels\swatches

badge textures are at the "mfr" folder of the Textures zip file from the aforementioned directory, whichbis where I found "LSC" badges for the Lincoln Mark VII and maybe the Mark VIII.

Anyone else having problems with the Forzathon Weekly Challenge, Chapter 4 (Ring Wraith)? The counter on mine is stuck at 0.5 mi/20.0 mi. no matter how far I drive. 😮

Edit: CRAP - now it's set me back to Chapter 2 and says I've only reached 0.8 mph/200.0 mph! Grrrrrr

We should work together. I get you a Thunderbird SC, and you get me a Eunos Cosmo with the 20B engine. Now those are two cars that should be in this game.
Comrades!
I've actually been requesting Eunos Cosmo since FM3.
And of course, I posted the name of this car on the FH5 car wishlist on the official forum.
Since Mazda North America is keeping this car in their collection, it would be relatively easy for Turn 10 to scan this car compared to other cars sold exclusively in Japan.
I'd love to see this three-rotor monster compete in Forza with a classic saloon from BMW or Mercedes.

Won the Trial easy first time with a drag tuned Bentley by wall riding and led the last 98% of the first race. I blocked for the second race and both races my team won by over 2,000 points. Here is a video of the strategy.
Share code for the tune is 145 520 899

Have to say: this is quite horrible. Just plain wrong, I'm sorry.

Forzathon shop when buying wheelspins only can buy once yet a couple of days ago i could buy any amount. was like that before christmas.

Interesting post I found on reddit.
Appears to be some unused real brand lettered slick tires.
As pointed out in the comments on this thread these will only be offered as stock tires for FE and some competition vehicles, maybe.
It's really a sad fact that we can't use these great looking tires on our own favorite cars.

On a serious note.

If PG really wanted to get rid of wallriding in their games, they wouldn't implement a flawed slowdown penalty system that doesn't discern players gaining an unfair advantage by riding the wall to players accidentaly hitting an obstacle to a complete stop for braking too hard/taking a wrong racing line. They would instead stop making the wall barriers round and create runoff areas for hard-braking turns in their tracks, but hey, complacency of one heck of a drug.

I hear you but just don't agree. This week's trial is so easy, you don't need a wall ride to win it. It's actually a great opportunity for anyone who struggles with trials to train without much of a stress. I'm not a racing police to go around and shout "don't wallride and all" but promoting it under "How to dominate Trials" is just wrong in my opinion.

The driving showed in that video is still wrong. Specially since you play with others. You can ram teammates out of checkpoints too, but I doubt PG intended it as a doable/acceptable feature.
