Anti-lag works very well on the older cars like the F40 Competizione, it's actually impressive. Not quite as noticeable on newer cars but still does what it says on the tin. Not available on diesel engines, it has to be pointed out.

Seems like people on steam are already able to play the Expansion already. Anyone here tried it yet?
Are they actively playing or just getting a cinematic when they open the game? I think Hot Wheels did the same thing before you could play the expansion. Either that or they changed the time on their PC maybe? Not worth risking a ban to test.

The update appears to have been rolled back on Steam as of about 7pm UK time. It's downloaded the expansion map, but none of the new features are present in the version that's currently live.

Actively playing. I tried it on win store version but it plays the cinematic you mentioned and takes me to the store page. Here are a few screenshots of people playing:

just started the game now. No update features or DLC access for me so far yet. Don't mind not having the DLC access early as it seems some people have been blocked out of the game or messed their saves by playing it.

I was looking forward to doing some Anti-Lag stuff and check out the new update though so thats a shame.

anti lag is available in the main game.

Like I said. It wasn't when I loaded the game up. Some of the update features haven't shown up for some people yet. I checked for the New Wide Body Kits and Anti-Lag. I'm a bout to try again now the football has finished, Hopefully be available.

Edit: Nope not available. A dev just posted this on Steam.

Interestingly enough, I can play the base game like before the update or DLC fine probably because I didn't touch any of the DLC when it was available for the short time. Some people have to wait until tomorrow to be able to launch the game again.

I thought it was strange that my update was 31GB and not the 15 like others on here.

Is it just me or the flames coming out of the exhaust have been downgraded graphically?

I've hit a strange snag. Since the update I can't change my tuning set ups on my Jesko. Every time I try to change the tune the game crashes back to the Xbox dashboard. Is this happening to anyone else?

I saw some posts on reddit mentioning crashes when doing exactly that on Series X, so it might be a specifically series X problem.

Oh poo. I'm on a Series X too. So far touch wood it's only happened on the Jesko thankfully. Really appreciate the info bud 👍

I think this is the 1st Season I'm definitely excited for all the new cars and to jump back into the game. Really like the Rimac, the Caddys are great additions, but most certainly love seeing the LC500 get love from this franchise.

Yep, Me and a guy in our club had the same thing happen and we’ve traced it to the rims being bugged and appears to be affecting all tunes made before the update. :irked:

How did we know this?

When we bought new parts for any tuned car, we noticed the price in the parts basket was different to the final price.

That difference in price was conveniently the same price the rims we already had on our cars.

See what I mean?
That difference in price is the exact amount the rims on that car cost.🧐

The guy I mentioned I believe is on PC so i’m not 100% certain on that on that one.

Oh great. Cheers bud. That's a bloody strange bug. Hopefully they'll be able to hotfix this quickly.

That first reply is hilarious, some people are absolutely wild.

Anyway I've been enjoying the update so far on Series X, I can't say I've noticed a reduced quality of exhaust backfire but the anti-lag is a lot of fun, it fits really well with drag builds and it was cool to see lots of players lined up at the festival drag strip testing their cars with it engaged, producing pops and bangs filling the area. I have experienced a weird issue where entering a drag event disabled the launch control for all cars that had anti-lag fitted, a game restart was the only way to fix it, but so far this update has been pretty good for me. I'm excited to get stuck into the actual expansion today!

Biggest thing i have noticed is that all the dragstrips are absolutely loaded with people (especially in Anti Lag Supras). Game feels extremely lively all of a sudden.
Also It seems like LC drops off at about 35 mph, meaning all the rwd cars with loads of power (everything from a 720s to a Venom F5) with need TC or extreme throttle control and a little bit of short shifting to drag race. It is definitely much better than before. Seems like it is a minor improvement for AWD cars so far.

There were a lot of high powered Supras at the drag strip when I played and it was very satisfying to beat them in a lower powered (no engine swap) Pulsar GTI-R simply because I could put the power down and they couldn't.

Which proves that the Steam forums aren't good either when it comes to Forza. 'punish players to your mistake' that's hilarious.

Slightly off-topic: This similar process happens with ETS2, I can't go 5 minutes on any given blogpost on a rework or patch without complaints that parts of the map are old (and yes that includes your country - the UK - as it hasn't changed since 2012) and becomes a constant. I get it, reworking a map takes time and resources. As it stands they're going to finalize Switzerland and several German cities. Can understand why it's lots of work and research. Also kept seeing comments pleading the devs to release the Russian DLC, which I won't bore you into details because reasons.

As for the rest of PG's staff leaving, Rage seems right. FH5 has been... different lately. Stagnant, perhaps?

Geez yeah, I played last night after the update and it feels more lively a little bit of everywhere. I'm seeing more players than unusual.

Also, did they change the standard quattro's mudflaps to be colored instead of dark grey? I'm sure they were grey before.

If it's an exodus like this, something tells me it isn't the game that's the problem but the company. Then whether it's company structure, the company's relationship with Microsoft, even work culture, I don't know.

Speaking of ETS2 though... I'd argue the game's open betas are proof that PG could release cars after their dedicated series without losing "player engagement". Why? Simple - early access is a surprisingly powerful thing. ETS2 open betas attract a bunch of players, even ones who aren't very interested in bug reporting simply cuz they get to enjoy some of the perks of the upcoming update (map reworks, new gameplay features etc) early. If PG added playlist cars in a latter series through say wheelspins (if not the series directly after, maybe the one after that?), I would not be surprised if a similar phenomenon occurs, with player engagement for the series being impacted very little (if at all) and with players being able to access cars that they couldn't get their hands on in time maybe it'd quell atleast some of the negativity around the game. Sounds like a win-win situation in my book.

I don't think the target audience for Forza would be remotely suitable for betas with their bugs and generally unpolished experience. Forza is aimed squarely at Gamepass numbers and is meant to be an Xbox seller, after all.
