Livestream is active currently, and there's a Festival map/pamphlet/thing that basically lets you plot out the major events in the game as you progress, and each event type (i.e. Road Racing, Dirt Racing, etc.) has it's own mini Festival, as well as major events tied to each one. The choices you make as far as which mini-festival you decide to "invest" in will apparently influence how your game goes for the next hour or 2, according to the devs.

Also, Horizon Pulse, Bass Arena, XS and Block Party are returning, not a big surprise there. Maybeeee some musings about the soundtrack today...?

Exclusive car systems seem to have "evolved" even further. Huh...
When FH5 was first announced, I saw an announcement that the playlist system had been improved based on community feedback.
However, it seems that the system that needed the most improvement was never improved.

Even though the devs said don't read too much into it, Horizon Promo will be returning, and it showed that (at least in the dev build) there are 543 cars to take pictures of.

Edit: Also, the Bronco Raid looks really quick.

I really love the "tourist" look of the that map - just kitschy silly fun. I'm hoping it's released soon as a hi-def wallpaper.

The changes to the braking system sound really cool. There's apparently now a noticeable difference in braking feel and performance depending on if your car is equipped with drums, discs, 2-, 4-, and 6-piston calipers, etc. Also brake performance upgrades will have a much stronger effect if you're equipping them on a car with normally weak brakes.

Edit: 2004 Nissan Xterra Dakar confirmed! As is...the 917 LH? I thought the 917 wasn't included in the Porsche car list reveal?

87 Trans Am FE is back.
However, the car seems to have lost its iconic wide body kit.

...Why?

Confirmed that a demo will not be released.

Edit: "Kudos are points you get for being one of the coolest and socialist players in Horizon..."

I know that these streams at least appear to be pretty candid, and answers have to be given on the fly, but...not the best word choice there.

Not going to lie, after the no demo/Mexican radio station announcement, I lost interest in the rest. :grumpy:

I'm gonna be real, a part of me wonders if Playground saw the uproar from jabronis on NFS Heat's soundtrack mostly consisting of Latin music (even though it absolutely fit in context) and decided against it.

If that's the case, coward move tbh.

No demo, nor a dedicated Mexican radio station. What in the absolute hell, Playground? Genuinely disappointed in both those things. I can get over not having a demo (on November 5) but no Mexican radio station?
I'm Mexican and to be honest, that's not a deal breaker. I barely hear local radio and when I do, I either hear 70's-80's-90's English hit stations (I would like one of those) or classical music stations (Timeless got me covered), all other things I Deezer. As for the demo? I will play the game either way, so downloading the demo would just be a waste of time/hard drive space.

OK, I've never been great with a wheel -- half the time when I tried to use one in FH4, I got thrown off by oversteer and my inability to smoothly correct for it, even in a D-class Sprite -- but it does sound like they've made improvements on that front, particularly to the handling, force feedback, et al. The driver even pointed out how he was able to catch the back end more easily when it slipped out from under him, so this might be the Horizon that finally lets me put the controller down.

No Mexican / Latin radio station seems like a letdown, but after a couple months I usually wind up turning the radio off and providing my own soundtrack anyways. Gonna tear across the dunes in a matte black Baja Bug with this cranked up.

Yeah but did FH3 have a Australian music station, and did FH2 have a French music station?

I played both and the answer is no.
FH3 had Future Classic Radio. Every artist was Australian.
Also, the fact that Horizon missed an opportunity by not including a French music station in FH2 so they should miss another opportunity by not including a Mexican music station in FH5 is a weird flex.

I'm glad there won't be a demo for FH5 TBH. Don't really see the point of it after FH4. I mean don't get me wrong, it'd be wonderful to have one. But I much prefer waiting until the early access is available with the Premium Edition. As for the missing Mexican Station. Not a deal breaker to me. Besides, I hardly listened to the Aussie Stations in FH3, as well as the classic station. I'm more of a Pulse and Bass Arena guy. ;)

My whole goal is collecting all of the cars and I'm GLAD PG has showcased that in this stream. Hyped!

Well, if anyone hoped they'd redo the FM2 models, the R32 GT-R just appeared and it's still the same crap one.
I'm gonna call it: If they don't redo the oldest/most misshapen models for FM(8) and beyond, they're never going to redo them.

I mean, FH4 also didn't have a classic British dance music channel either...and Britain is probably the cradle of that genre as a whole.

In terms of not offering a demo, I dunno what a demo would achieve for FH5. Most people buying into the game (myself included) know what to expect, I imagine those on the fence probably do too.

Yeah...that car list is looking pretty bleak.

Audi once again getting shafted.

Pulsar GTi-R confirmed for the stock car list, at least. Neato.

I'm still in the middle of reading that list, but I noticed the Lotus Cortina is among them. I remember someone being disappointed at not seeing it among the Ford cars in an earlier Twitter post, though I can't remember who.

EDIT: I'm a little farther down now and I've noticed a 2004 Nissan rally raid pickup. Funny thing is, I was just thinking about how this initial list didn't have anything new-to-franchise beyond what has already been announced.
