I gave up trying to do the 4×4 speed zone. Luckily I didn't need it to get the Peel Trident and SVJ.
I used the big Lambo LM002 thing. With a running start across the opposite field to the start line.

A stock 2021 Bronco will do it, just needs a runup to the start from the nearby hill, then straight-lining the corners as much as possible. There's a lot of room under the class limit to add more power and/or less weight to make it easier.
Did it with the same car but already had it upgraded to 600 PI. Didn't need a huge run-up but cut the corners as much as I could. Took a few tries but it's definitely doable.

Today I finished Lucha Libre's Horizon Story, which I've been putting off playing because of the playlist.

My impression of this Story was that the differences in difficulty were very extreme.
Time Attack is difficult, while Score Attack is too easy.

And after getting 3 stars in all the challenges, I noticed that there were some unaccomplished accolades.
All of them had this written on them. "Use shortcuts in (chapter name)."

...I just laughed, thinking back to when I was struggling with the LaRacer challenge in FH4.😫

Yeah, five of the missions have a shortcut on the course.

Generally, the commentator yells something about shortcuts just as you're approaching them, so keep an eye out for anything hidden or breakable - for example on the last one with the "monster ghost", you drive straight through some billboards rather than bearing right where the navigation takes you. There's also one where you're going uphill over a field towards... I think Teotihuacan at the end of a race, through a corridor created by some shipping containers; if you bear left through the bushes instead you end up on top of the containers and there's a jump towards the finish.

I forget the others, but listen out for the commentator yelling about it.

Also, is there an exploit in drifting? I was doing an Open Drifting thing the other night (for the Playlist, but also there's an Accy for it) and some chap showed up in the illegally-named Mercedes SSK and outscored everyone by 50-100%. I watched him briefly, and he wasn't actually drifting; he just steamed into the corners way too fast and slid right into the outside barrier on every corner. Yet he was on 700k points while most were on 350-400k.

Edit: Just followed someone else in a Bentley Blower (650k vs lobby average of 400k) and there's definitely something fishy going on. Something to do with antique cars and huge steering angles maybe?

I'll have to try that drift exploit out in the Merc a fellow player generously dropped on me yesterday. (Hopefully they will nazi not see me coming as it goebbels up the points etc etc etc)

The game can be kinda funny about what it considers drifting sometimes, you can be holding a corner just fine with some cars but if there's just a tiny bit of oversteer, it thinks you've broke traction and will start ringing up drifting skills. I've scored ultimate drift skills in the Tankpool FE just by tapping the handbrake a bit in a sweeping corner to get a little more rotation, no smoke or noise from the tires but the game thinks it's enough to count as a drift. I think it may be something to do with how the game's AWD system works with extremely modified vehicles, but it's hard to tell exactly.

Probably unrelated to what happened with that SSK, the drift score tallying system has also changed due to a fix that was done a few weeks ago.

As I found out from a friend of mine, the drift score will continue to increase even if the tires are spinning in the drift zone.

スクリーンショット (9526).png

This is a still image, so it's hard to tell, but at this point I was not drifting, just continuing burnout. However, the score still continued to be tallied.
As mentioned earlier, this phenomenon may have nothing to do with what happened to that SSK.
However, the drift score aggregation system seems to be a bit broken at the moment.

Any suggestions for a good place to do today’s daily challenge, “Bunny Hopping”? You need to earn ten air skills in thirty seconds. That’s an average of three seconds for each air skill.

Sand dunes in Baja would my thought.
I just got it using my Class 5 VW Bug. I started on the southwest edge of the volcano, not far from the barn find barn and then went cross country east-southeast towards Teotihuacán. I got it by the time I passed the San Juan church that’s buried in lava.

Maybe I'm out of the loop, but isn't it today that devs should announce the next series? Can't seem to find any mention of it on any of the socials.

There's plenty of Super7 challenge cards that make it really easy and quick.

I'd post share codes but my previous attempt to share guides was deleted as self promotion, so I reckon just use search.

Not sure, but the devs have already revealed Series 3. By next Monday/Tuesday, probably.

...Are they insane?
Or has MS decided to add these cars to promote Forza in China?

Most likely. Which can explain the SAIC and NiO license in the credits.

It was included in the S2 reveal last month. They'll probably post the first part of the playlist on social media today.

You're a brand-new member with no history in this community and no record of any contributions to this community, posting a thread containing nothing but links to your own YouTube channel... without asking anyone here whether that's okay or not.

Whether you were intending to be helpful or not, that's just advertising - trying to use our audience to grow yours - without permission.

We have a specific thread in this forum for sharing creations, so if you want to post in-game share codes for any Creative Hub items, that's the place to do it.

Thanks! I thought Series 3 should start tomorrow, right after the end of Series 2, no?

No worries mate. I've seen some traffic coming to one of my videos from here, looked around. Seen people asking for advice multiple times on things I have covered, figured it may be worth sharing. Like, there are screenshots just above with 2-stars on story chapters, for which I have easy guides.

So I spent a good chunk of time putting together a full list of guides and tutorials, nicely organized and formatted for convenient use. Thinking was - if it's not interesting for people, it'll just die off as it happens on the forums. Didn't mean to break your rules at all.

I understand now it's not needed and not welcome. Your place - your rules. No grudge about it.

Yes it does. But because of the holiday break, Playground did their monthly streaming show for series 2 & 3 combined, see the video below. Also the update we got on all platforms was for series 2 & 3 together, also containing all the cars for series 2 & 3.

Like Famine mentioned, most likely today they will post the playlist for tomorrow on Twitter and/or Instagram (which is the first week of series 3).

As soon as series 3 is nearly complete, I’m sure we will get a new stream to reveal series 4 content. Mark Monday January 24th in your calendar, that is the most likely day for a new Let’s Go! livestream to reveal series 4. 😏

Tomorrow we will also get the 1966 Jaguar XJ13 via the car pass. I’m super excited for that one as it was my favourite car in GT5 & GT6!

I have no idea if / how / when Playground makes the decision to just add Formula 1 cars to Horizon but they seem like they'd be a weird fit unless they have some sort of specialized Hermanos Rodriguez track addon or something. There are all kinds of ridiculous cars in the game, sure, but I got the sense they were at least all street legal, or at least street-legal derived / homologated. Also, a RUF? I wouldn't mind that, but has there ever been a game that launched with Porsches that also included RUF models, either at launch or later on?

That said, bring on the weird old cars. I really need to find out what the Toronado's 1966 version of front wheel drive feels like, and the Toyota Sports 800 is a cool little mini-beast. And make with the Jensen Interceptor already! Preferably the FF (the first-ever AWD grand tourer), but at this point I'd even be fine with a standard model.

Yes, GT Sport.

Horizon 2 has Ruf cars and the Porsche expansion. But the Crew2 is a better example of having both at start.

Edit: They put an Autoshow for the regulars and the Exclusive Celica behind Gold.

Hopefully the Story daily will work this time so we can do the Accolade. Fingers crossed.

The only one I can't figure out is the tat_fortuna_18.

Absolutely no traffic whatsoever... Probably 4 hours of playing. Tried going solo more than a couple times, and still nothing. Wonder what's up...
I've found that the game can be really, really fussy with the resume function. Earlier today I booted the console up and FH5 resumed, to show me that today's Daily - which had started four hours earlier - wasn't going to start for another 20 hours. I shut the game down and started it, and that fixed it.

I've also experienced a complete absence of traffic with resumes, also fixed by rebooting the game.
